Turn CO2release knob counter-
clockwise (when viewed from

NOTE: Only use Fizzini®Hamilton Beach®CO2cartridges and bottles.
Never carbonate if bottle is empty, not filled to the Soda Fill Level, or
not fully attached.
Fill water up to MAX Fill Level
for Sparkling Water. For best
carbonation of soda, fill water to
Soda Fill Level.
Place carbonating unit onto bottle
and turn clockwise until it clicks
into place. CAUTION! Carbonating
unit may project off bottle if not
fully rotated and locked in place.
Insert CO2cartridge with the
narrow end pointing down. Swing
door closed and press to ensure it
is latched.
Turn carbonation adjustment dial
clockwise for more carbonation
and counterclockwise for less
carbonation.
Use VERY COLD (33°–42°F
[0.5°–5.5°C]) refrigerated water.

Dried flavor syrups can clog the
carbonation nozzle. Add flavors
after carbonation only. Do not
reinsert carbonating unit into
bottle with water after syrup has
been added.
Turn CO2release knob quickly
clockwise until it stops to release
gas into the bottle. If no CO2gas
is discharged into the bottle (if
no bubbles appear), press the

Troubleshooting
PROBLEM
No carbonation.
Slight carbonation.
Too carbonated.

not open.
PROBABLE CAUSE/SOLUTION
• Check if CO2cartridge has been used. Use a brand new cartridge.
• Cartridge is too cold. Wait until cartridge reaches room temperature.
• Water is too warm. Use 33° to 42°F (0.5° to 5.5°C) filtered or bottled water.
• Carbonating unit allowed to remain on bottle too long after charging. Press the pressure release button.
Remove promptly after charging in the future.
• Clogged nozzle. Press the pressure release button. DO NOT attempt to remove the carbonating unit
from the bottle. Contact Hamilton Beach for repair or replacement.
• CO2is not mixed well with water. Allow 10 seconds after CO2is released into water to complete mixing.
• Use very cold (33° to 42°F [0.5° to 5.5°C]) refrigerated water.
• Fill water to appropriate fill level.
• Shake well after carbonating.
• Carbonation adjustment dial is not set in the correct position. Adjust carbonation adjustment dial
counterclockwise.
• Too little water. Fill water to bottle markings up to MAX Fill Level.
• This is normal. Release pressure by pushing on pressure release button on top of carbonating unit.
• Pressure was not released. Press the pressure release button to relieve pressure; then rotate CO2release
