Safety instructions
Please read the warning instructions before using the 5Ah, 7Ah or 9Ah battery.
Warnings
• Only use the original Gerbing charger
• Do not attempt to disassemble, modify, or make any changes to this product.
• Even when not using the battery, ensure that their ambient temperature remains between -20°C
and +60°C.
• Make sure the battery does not make direct contact with water or other liquid substances. In the
unlikely event of water or other liquid substances entering the battery, switch o the battery and
disconnect it from the product. Continued use of the battery may result in re or electric shock.
• Do not place the battery near a heat source or direct re. Doing so may cause the battery to explode.
Charging a 5Ah, 7Ah and 9Ah battery
1. Connect the original Gerbing charger to a safe socket
2. Connect the plug to the battery
3. The LED display will indicate the number“9” when the battery is fully charged
On-o button and indications
The 5Ah, 7Ah and 9Ah batteries are equipped with an on-o button that has two dierent functions.
One function is to determine how full the battery is (1-9) and the other function is to set the heat
setting (1-3).
• The on-o button can only be used when the battery is connected to the respective product.
• Press the button for a few seconds to turn the battery on, then press it until the correct setting is
reached.
• This goes from 1 to 3. With this, 1 is the lowest setting and 3 is the highest.
• When the temperature is set, after a few seconds the LED display will show a number from 1 to 9
indicating how full the battery is. With this, 1 is the indication for empty and 9 means completely full.
Combination with Gerbing products with built-in push button
There is a built-in temperature controller in these batteries. There are Gerbing products that are
operated with a built-in push button. If these are connected to these 5Ah, 7Ah or 9Ah batteries, the
combination will not work. The temperature controller on the battery must then be switched o, so
that the temperature can be controlled using only the push button on the product.
