sehr geehrte Kundin,
wir danken Ihnen für den Kauf dieses Qualitätsproduktes von GENIE. Bitte lesen Sie diese
Anleitung zunächst vor Inbetriebnahme sorgfältig durch.
Beachten Sie insbesondere die folgenden Vorsichtshinweise. Bitte bewahren Sie diese Anleitung
für eine spätere Einsichtnahme auf, bei einer Weitergabe des Artikels bitte die Anleitung mitgeben.
Bei Fragen zum Gerät oder Beanstandungen finden Sie bitte unsere Service-Informationen am
Schluss dieser Anleitung.
WICHTIGE HINWEISE
1. Stellen Sie den Spitzer auf einen festen Untergrund, damit er einen sicheren Stand hat und
nicht durch Herunterfallen zerstört werden kann.
2. Benutzen Sie das Gerät nicht in der Nähe von Wasser oder sonstigen Flüssigkeiten.
Vermeiden Sie den Kontakt zu jeglicher Flüssigkeit. Sollte das Gerät dennoch feucht oder
nass werden, sollte es umgehend trocken gewischt werden.
3. Vermeiden Sie den Kontakt mit übermäßigem Schmutz und Staub ebenso wie harte Stöße.
4. Stellen Sie den Spitzer möglichst nicht in der Nähe von Heizgeräten oder sonstigen
Geräten, die Hitze produzieren, auf.
5. Sofern das Gerät in irgendeiner Weise beschädigt wurde oder nicht mehr ordnungsgemäß
funktioniert, ist qualifiziertes Servicepersonal gefordert. Wir verweisen an dieser Stelle auf
unsere Garantiebestimmungen und Service-Informationen am Ende dieser
Betriebsanleitung.

BEDIENUNG
1. Einsetzen der Batterie
Öffnen sie die Batterieabdeckung und setzen Sie die Batterien ein und schließen Sie die
Abdeckung wieder. Achten Sie dabei auf die richtige Polarität.
2. Spitzmodus kleines Loch
Führen sie den Stift (6-8mm Durchmesser) in das kleine Loch ein und drücken diesen nach
unten. Der Spitzer fängt an zu arbeiten. Wenn der Stift gespitzt ist ziehen Sie diesen wieder
auch dem Loch
3. Spitzmodus großes Loch
Schieben Sie die Sicherheitsklappe zurück, das große Loch wird freigegeben und der Stift
(9-12mm Durchmesser) kann wie beschrieben gespitzt werden.
4. Behälter leeren
Drücken Sie den durchsichtigen Behälter an beiden Seiten leicht ein und ziehen diesen
nach hinten. Nach den entleeren scheiben Sie in wieder in das Gerät bis er einrastet.
5. Zum Wechseln der Klingen schieben Sie den Klingenhalten nach oben und entnehmen
diesen. Nun können die Klingen mit Hilfe eines Schraubendrehers ausgetaucht werden.

ACHTUNG
Tauchen Sie das Gerät nicht in Wasser!
Verwenden Sie keine aggressiven Reinigungs- oder Lösungsmittel wie Alkohol oder
Benzin. Reinigen Sie den Spitzer mit einem weichen, feuchten Tuch.
Fassen Sie niemals mit den Fingern in die Bleistiftöffnung oder das Fräswerk.
- Sie sollten den Auffangbehälter leeren, wenn er etwa halbvoll ist.
- Versuchen Sie nicht Bleistifte zu spitzen, wenn der Auffangbehälter nicht korrekt aufgesetzt ist.
- Sollte der Auffangbehälter einmal brechen, müssen Sie das ganze Gerät entsorgen.

einwandfrei funktionieren, so beachten Sie bitte Folgendes:
Die Garantiezeit beträgt bei sachgerechter Nutzung 24 Monate ab Kaufdatum. Bewahren Sie bitte
den Kaufbeleg und die Originalverpackung auf. Die Garantieleistung gilt nur für Material- oder
Fabrikationsfehler, nicht aber für Beschädigungen an zerbrechlichen Teilen, z.B. am Gehäuse.
Geräte, die von außen durch unsachgemäßen Gebrauch beschädigt wurden, sind vom Umtausch
ausgeschlossen. Eine Garantie erlischt, wenn Reparaturen ohne ausdrückliche Einwilligung
unseres Kundenservices durchgeführt wurden.
Garantiereparaturen können nur mit beigefügtem Kaufbeleg erfolgen – jede Rücksendung bitte
telefonisch anmelden! Es können nur Rücksendungen mit entsprechender Retourennummer

INTRODUCTION
Congratulations on your purchase of the GENIE battery operated pencil sharpener. This is a
precision instrument designed specifically to provide reliability, durability, and outstanding
performance.
In order to ensure the scale continues to deliver peak performance, please read these operation
instructions carefully and thoroughly prior to initial usage.
IMPORTANT
1. Place the pencil sharpener on an even surface for a secure stand.
2. The manufacturer does not warrant this unit to be waterproof. Do not expose this product to
rain or moisture.
3. Avoid contact with too much dirt and dust as well as impacts.
4. Do not use the sharpener under sun or keep it away from heating appliances such as oven,
stove, etc.
5. If any damage occurs to the sharpener or it may not work properly, contact our service
department. Please see our warranty and service information at the end of this manual

HOW TO USE
1 Insert the battery
Open the battery cover and insert the batteries and close the cover. Pay attention, to the
right polarity.
2. Cutting mode small hole
Insert the pencil (6-8mm diameters) in the small hole and press down. The sharpener
catches in to work. If the pencil is sharpened pull it out of the hole
3. Cutting mode big hole
Push back the security flap, the big hole is released and the pencil (9-12mm diameters) can
be sharpened as described.
4. Container cleaning
Push in the transparent container on both sides firmly and pull it backwards. After cleaning
insert the waste box back in place.
5. To the change of the blades push the blade holder upwards and take it out. Now the blades
can be changed by a screwdriver.

CAUTION
DO NOT immerse main unit in water while cleaning.
DO NOT use any solvents such as alcohol, benzene or thinner to clean the unit.
Never insert hand or finger into pencil or receptacle tray opening.
- Always empty the pencil shavings when the receptacle is approximately half full.
- When the receptacle is removed, do not touch the cutter.
- Do not attempt to sharpen pencils while the receptacle cover is open.
- If the receptacle breaks, dispose of the entire unit.
HANDLING THE GUARANTEE
Thank you very much for purchasing this GENIE product. Please note the following advice
whenever this machine does not function faultlessly, contrary to expectations.
The guarantee period amounts to 24 months from the date of purchase, provided that the machine
has been used appropriately. Please keep the proof-of-purchase voucher and original packaging in
a safe place. The warranty is only valid for defects in materials or fabrication. However, it is invalid
for damage that has occurred to breakable parts, e.g., on the casing. Machines that have been
damaged by inappropriate use externally, are excluded from being exchanged. A guarantee will
expire whenever any repairs have been carried out without the express consent of our customer
service department.
Repairs under the guarantee can only be made when the proof-of-purchase voucher is enclosed
with the defective machine – please notify us about the return by telephone! Only returns
bearing the appropriate return number can be accepted. Please give your name, address, post
code, town and telephone number with the dialing code. Please state the reason for your complaint
too.

Félicitations ! Vous avez acheté un taille-crayon électrique à pile GENIE. Il s’agit d’un appareil de
précision conçu spécifiquement pour vous apporter fiabilité, durabilité et une prestation excellente.
Afin de continuer à assurer une performance optimale, veuillez lire attentivement ces instructions
d’utilisation en entier avant la première utilisation de l’appareil.
Veuillez respecter tout particulièrement les indications de sécurité suivantes. Nous vous prions de
conserver ce mode d’emploi en cas de besoin de vérification ultérieure et de transmettre le mode
d’emploi avec l’article si vous donnez celui-ci. Si vous avez des questions sur l’appareil ou des
réclamations, veuillez trouver notre service d’informations à la fin de ce mode d’emploi.
IMPORTANT
1. Placez le taille-crayon sur une surface plane pour une bonne stabilité.
2. Le fabricant ne garantit pas l’imperméabilité de cet appareil. Ne l’exposez pas à l’eau ou à
l’humidité.
3. Evitez le contact avec la poussière et les salissures en grande quantité ainsi que les
impacts.
4. Ne laissez pas le taille crayon en plein soleil et tenez-le éloigné d’appareils de chauffage
tels que fours, poêles etc.
5. Si le taille-crayon est endommagé ou s’il ne fonctionne pas correctement, contactez notre
département SAV. Veuillez vous référer à notre garantie et au service d’information à la fin
de ce manuel
PRECISIONS

FONCTIONNEMENT
1. Insérer les piles
Ouvrez le couvercle du compartiment à piles, insérez les piles, puis refermez le couvercle.
Faites attention à la polarité.
2. Tailler dans le petit orifice
Insérez le crayon (d’un diamètre de 6 à 8 mm) dans le petit orifice et poussez-le vers le
bas. Le taille-crayon commence à fonctionner. Lorsque le crayon est taillé, sortez-le de
l’orifice.
3. Tailler dans le grand orifice
Repoussez le clapet de sécurité, le grand orifice est alors libéré et le crayon (d’un diamètre
de 9 à 12 mm) peut être taillé comme décrit ci-dessus.
4. Vider le récipient collecteur
Appuyez légèrement de chaque côté du récipient transparent et tirez-le vers l'avant. Après
l’avoir vidé, introduisez-le de nouveau dans l'appareil jusqu’à ce qu’il s’encliquette.
5. Pour changer les lames, faites glisser les butées de lame vers le haut et retirez-les. Les
lames peuvent à présent être retirées avec un tournevis.

CAUTION
NE PAS immerger l’appareil dans l’eau lors du nettoyage.
NE PAS utiliser de solvants tels que alcool, benzène ou diluant pour nettoyer l’appareil.
N’insérez jamais votre main ou votre doigt dans l’ouverture du taille-crayon ou du
réceptacle à pelures.
- Videz toujours les pelures du crayon quand le réceptacle est rempli à moitié environ.
- Quand le réceptacle est enlevé, ne touchez pas le couteau.
- N’essayez pas de tailler un crayon quand le réceptacle est ouvert.
- Si le réceptacle casse, jetez l’appareil.

La durée de garantie est, pour un emploi conforme, de 24 mois à la date de l’achat. Veuillez
conserver le justificatif d’achat et l’emballage d’origine. La prestation de garantie couvre les
défauts de matériau ou de fabrication, mais non pas les dommages survenus sur les pièces
fragiles, telles que le boîtier. Les appareils endommagés par une intervention externe et par un
maniement non conforme sont exclus de la présente garantie et ne pourront être échangés. La
garantie expire si des réparations ont été effectuées sans le consentement exprès de notre service

IT ISTRUZIONI PER L'USO
INTRODUZIONE
Complimenti per aver acquistato il temperamatite a batterie GENIE. Si tratta di uno strumento di
precisione, progettato per fornire affidabilità, durata e prestazioni eccellenti.
Al fine di ottenere le migliori prestazioni in modo durevole, si prega di leggere attentamente e
accuratamente queste istruzioni prima dell'utilizzo.
IMPORTANTE
1. Collocare il temperamatite su una superficie piana per ottenere un posizionamento sicuro.
2. Il produttore non garantisce l'impermeabilità di questo apparecchio. Non esporre il prodotto
a pioggia o umidità.
3. Proteggere da polvere e sporcizia, ed evitare gli urti.
4. Non utilizzare il temperamatite al sole e tenerlo lontano da fonti di calore quali forni, piani
cottura ecc.
5. In caso di guasto o di cattivo funzionamento del temperamatite, contattare il nostro servizio
assistenza. Si prega di consultare i termini di garanzia e le indicazioni per la manutenzione
alla fine di questo manuale.

FUNZIONAMENTO
1. Inserire la batteria
Aprire il coperchio del vano batteria, inserire la batteria e richiudere il coperchio. Rispettare
la corretta polarità.
2. Modalità foro piccolo
Inserire la matita (diametro 6-8mm) nel foro piccolo e spingerla verso il basso. Il
temperamatite inizia a funzionare. Quando la matita è temperata, estrarla dal foro.
3. Modalità foro grande
Scorrere la ribalta di sicurezza all’indietro, il foro grande viene liberato e la matita (diametro
9-12mm) può essere temperata come descritto.
4. Svuotare il contenitore
Premere il contenitore trasparente leggermente ai due lati e tirarlo in avanti. Dopo lo
svuotamento reinserirlo nell’apparecchio fino allo scatto in posizione.
5. Per cambiare le lame, spingere il porta-lame verso l’alto e rimuoverlo. A questo punto le
lame possono essere sostituite con l’ausilio di un cacciavite.

ATTENZIONE
NON immergere l'unità principale nell'acqua durante la pulizia.
NON utilizzare solventi come alcol, benzene o diluente per pulire l'apparecchio.
NON inserire la mano o le dita nel foro per le matite o nell'apertura del serbatoio trucioli.
- Svuotare sempre il serbatoio dai trucioli di matita quando risulta pieno a metà.
- Dopo aver rimosso il serbatoio, non toccare la taglierina.
- Non provare a temperare matite quando il coperchio del serbatoio è aperto.
- Se il serbatoio si rompe, smaltire l'intera unità.

La durata della garanzia con un utilizzo corretto del prodotto corrisponde a 24 mesi a partire dalla
data di acquisto. Conservi lo scontrino e l'imballaggio originale. La garanzia viene applicata
esclusivamente in caso di difetti del materiale o di fabbricazione, non per danni provocati a parti
fragili, come ad esempio il telaio. Non verranno sostituiti apparecchi danneggiati sulle parti esterne
a causa di un utilizzo non conforme. La garanzia scade quando vengono eseguite riparazioni
senza l'espressa autorizzazione del nostro Servizio Clienti.
Le riparazioni in garanzia possono avere luogo solo dietro presentazione dello scontrino di
