Controllers.ThenconnecttheGAVAandPACStoyournetwork.Makesureyourmobile
devicesareconguredforWiFiaccesstoyournetwork.OpenaWebbrowseronyour
PCorMactocongureyourGAVAsystem.JustselectyourcomponentsfromGAVA’s
library,andcongureconnectionsfromdrop-downmenus.Openyourmobiledevice’sWeb
browserandpointittotheGAVAWebpageandyou’rereadytogo.OniOSdevices,click
the“AddtoHomeScreen”buttontocreateaGAVAiconforimmediateone-touchaccessto
yoursystem.

• TheGAVAisshippedwithastaticIPaddressof192.168.1.82.Thisaddressmayneed
tobechangedbeforetheGAVAwillworkontheLocalAreaNetwork.Seepage10for
instructionsonsettingtheGAVAtoanewIPaddress.
• MostsystemswillonlyneedoneGAVAcontroller.Ifyournetworkwillcontainmultiple
GAVAunits,eachonemusthaveauniqueIPaddressbeforeitisconnectedtothe
network.InstalloneGAVAatatime,andchangeitsIPaddressbeforeconnecting
anotherGAVAtothenetwork.
• TheGAVAactsasabridgebetweenyourcontroller(e.g.PACS,MiniPACS)thatis
sendingtheRS-232commandsoveryournetwork,andtheactualRS-232portonthe
devicethatisbeingcontrolled.
• Checkwww.gefen.com/GAVAforthelatestWebbrowsercompatibilitylist.
• BeforeupdatingtheGAVAsoftware,itisrecommendedtocleartheWebbrowser’s
cache.
