-Insert the lifting wire-rope up to the stop; push it then while turning the main crank in the upward
direction. The wire-rope is pulled by the grip system.
-Slightly lift the load.
-Activate the rope gripper by using the reset lever (it is not possible to activate the rope gripper if the
winch has no load).
-Insert the safety wire-rope.
2.2.3 Installation of the counterweights
2.3 Functioning
-To raise
-Turn the crank handles as if bicycle pedals.
-To lower
-Loosen the left crank handle (handle pointing downwards)
-Hold the ratchet and turn the right crank handle in the downward direction.
3. SECURITY
The m.lift 400 winch is equipped with the following security elements:
3.1 Main brake FIXATOR
The “FIXATOR” brake system guarantees a complete and automatic security as soon as the crank
has been let go.
Testing winch correct working order:
-Lift the winch about 10 cm.
-Let go of the crank handles, the winch stops.
-Move in a downward direction, let go of the crank handles and of the ratchet handle –the
winch stops.
3.2 Cancellation of the load
In case of cancellation of the load (insufficient load, tearing of the working wire-rope) a rope gripping
instantly grips onto the safety rope which then bears the full load.
Testing platform correct working order:
-Put the platform on the ground - the safety system “antichute” activates and signals
insufficient load.
-To assure that the safety system “antichute” is sufficiently tightened, lift the platform about 10
cm above the ground and lower it until the wire-ropes catch.
-To reset, raise the platform about 10 cm.
-Press the reset lever down.
Lift the platform about 50 cm, put the 20 kg counterweight in place on the
safety wire-rope by using the cable grip clamp. Never install a
counterweight on the working wire-rope.
