1. Software Release V1.01 for Egro ONE Touch

Due to a problem that occurs when using the software version 1.00 of the Egro ONE Touch we provide

as of now the new software version 1.01.

The bug discovered in the software version 1.00 of the Egro ONE Touch could create a communication

timeout error between the “control board” and the “touch board”.

The error can appear during the navigation in the Technical menu or Manager menu or during the first

start-up procedure.

The software is fully compatible with version V1.00.

A software update is requested for all machines with touch screen using the SW version 1.00.

The new software version 1.01 as well as the description of the installation procedure can be found on

the Egro Webshop. The software is available as zip-file and has to be extracted.

The file “SwRelease_1-01.tar” needs to be copied to an USB stick.

All machines with touch screen from s/n 450177 on will be delivered with the new software version.

Coffee machines with s/n 450001 to 450040 are equipped with a beta software V0.1. There is no

possibility to upgrade these machines to the new software.

2. Egro ONE Touch SW Update Procedure

To upgrade the software copy the file “SwRelease_1-01.tar” on a USB stick and then insert the stick in

the USB slot when the machine is switched on and ready to use.

Follow the instructions on the display by pressing “Software upgrade”, then select the file

“SwRelease_1-01.tar” and press “Update”.

After the software update remove the USB stick and the coffee machine will re-start automatically

showing the new software version.

Modifications on Egro ONE

Due to the improvement of the new machine Egro ONE there are a number of modifications which we

like to inform you about.

1. Egro ONE SW Update

A new software version of the control board software is available. The version V1.01 with the release

date of 24.02.10 from the control board software was tested and used in production from mid of April

on.

Corrections were done on the configuration of the payment system, in the submission of the prices. The

software used for certain products the prices of the product which was the last delivered one.

Machines from s/n 450308 on are equipped with this software.

a. Retrofit

There is no update of the software necessary. An update is only requested in configurations working

with a payment system.

2. Safety valve

In the Egro ONE we started to use a new combined valve, which works as a safety valve and as the

vacuum valve.

Unfortunately we had some valves, which are leaking.

To secure for you the functionality of the valve, we decided to use two valves as we have it with the

other series and which is a proper working solution.

The two valves are mounted from s/n 450331 on.

a. Retrofit

There is no retrofit of the combined valve necessary, but you are requested to check the machines in

the field with the combined valve for leakages.

If there are some leakages in the area of the safety valve, please exchange the combined valve to a

safety valve and a vacuum valve. The exchange is described in a separate document, which is available

in the technical documentation area of the Egro ONE.

There is a retrofit-kit for the replacement available, which contains all parts and can be ordered with the

ID-number 101093.001.

3. Third way drain cup

The third way drain cup was added to the machines, to reduce the number of tubes and junctions in the

machines. This drain cup collects the condensate from the steam bar and the safety valve. With this

solution we offer you a machine with better access to the interior.

The third way drain cup is used from s/n 450351 on.

a. Retrofit

There is no retrofit necessary and no retrofit-kit will be offered. The third way drain cup will be available

in the spare part catalogue.

4. Spring for Grinder

The grinders of the Egro ONE are adjustable from outside from the customer. But not everywhere it

should be possible for the user to adjust the grinder in a wide range e.g. in self service zones.

For this kind of applications we add to the machines two springs in a sealed plastic bag, which can be

mounted on the grinders, so it is possible to limit the range of adjustment.

To block the grinder there is a screw to block the adjustment wheel with it.

The springs have to be mounted as shown in the picture below to limit the grinder adjustment.

Software Release V1.02 for Egro ONE and other items

Due to the improvement of the software for the Egro ONE there are a number of modifications which

we like to inform you about.

1. Egro ONE SW Update

For both types of machine, the Egro ONE Touch and the Egro ONE Keypad a new software version 1.02

with the release date of 24.6.2010 is available.

The following bugs are fixed:

- Counters: brewing cycles, water, lifetime/brewings, lifetime/type, lifetime/products working now

properly.

- A break of 5 seconds between two preselected milk beverages was added to change the cups.

- All the brewing cycles are stopped now if the coffee is missing in a beverage with multiple brewing

cycles (e.g. jugs).

- “Correction Time” setting now works for “Milk on Demand” as well.

- Graphical errors on both displays are fixed:

“Stop” button animation, “water” button function, brewing progress bar, product button blinking

when deleting a queue and fixing of the names of some menu entry.

- Fixed inhibition of water products when W32 is present (steam boiler fill timeout).

- Heating of steam boiler is now disabled when in W32, to avoid the risk of overheating.

- Improved warnings and errors management –now it is possible to read the warnings when the

machine is in “Machine not ready”.

Furthermore the start-up procedure is not entirely stopped when a warning is present but it goes on

by disabling the features involved in the warning.

- The visualization of piston errors was fixed.

- Fixed the machine blocking feature when requested cleanings are not done. It could happen that the

message “Machine blocked” was on-screen but the machine was not blocked.

- Fixed the pistons test in diagnostic menu: the upper piston movement was inverted and the current

position of the pistons showed in the diagnostic menu during the test (touch screen) was not accurate.

- Fixed the graphical calendar in the first start up procedure

- Fixed “Stop” button functionality when warning W07 is present.

- A set of 48 default products, their parameters, icons and positions for the touch screen and the

keyboard was defined.

The following software modifications are made:

- “Milk rinsing” in the cleanings menu is now disabled when the cool box is installed.

- New time limits for 4-Tea products: hot water quantity is now limited to 40s.

- W34 warning time-out is now set to 30 minutes to avoid incorrect show-up.

- A restart of the touch screen is needed if the language is changed: this modification is necessary

because switching between oriental languages causes some graphical font problems.

- New steam boiler filling strategy

- Cash system management: now the “register number” parameter can be selected in the range 0-98.

Every product can be set with a different register number and a different price, multiple products can

have the same register number but they must have also the same price. Prices download is now

requested also when only register number is changed.

- An USB-hard reset procedure was added. For further information please check the Technical Manual.

- Checksum for the software package: now the software upgrade procedure has a checksum check to

verify the file integrity. On the USB key you need to have both software files *.tar and a *.md5 file.

This file contains the checksum string of the software package.

- Italian and French on touch: from version 1.02 on Italian and French are included in the software.

- Spanish on keyboard: from version 1.02 on Spanish is included in the software.

- Now it is possible to work in CREDIT mode while using CSI protocol.

Machines from Egro s/n 450571 and from Rancilio PIN 33543-s/n 0112000119 on are equipped with this

software.

a. Retrofit

The update of the machines is recommended.

Both software versions for the Egro ONE Touch and the Egro ONE Keypad are available for download on

our homepage. If you download the software, please take care that the files are stored in the root of a

USB-pen.

b. Compatibility

The software is compatible with the version 1.01.

2. Service booklet

The service booklet was reviewed and got some minor modifications on the title page and on the

backside. Furthermore we added a column for the cycles in the pages of the break downs.

The new service booklet will be added to the machine in production. It is available for download on our

web-page.

Video for Egro ONE Touch

The Egro ONE Touch offers the possibility to play videos on the screen. With this feature promotions for

customer can be played, but also for technical training it can be used.

1. Video Format

The video format is MP4 with a number of parameters, which have to be adjusted.

2. Video Editing Software

To produce a suitable video for the display of the Egro ONE Touch it is necessary to use professional

video editing software (e.g. Adobe Premiere). With such software several parameters can be adjusted.

The main parameters to create a video unloadable on the ONE Touch are:

- NO AUDIO in the video

- VERTICAL Format: 640X480 pixel

- Frame per Second: 25

- LEVEL: 3

3. Educational Video

A video that shows how to set up a new video with the right settings is available on the Egro home page.

This video is not edited for the display of the ONE Touch!

4. Use of Video

Videos only run automatically, during the preparation of a beverage, if the ONE Touch is configured to

be in the SELF-SERVICE MODE.

Obviously videos can be played any time in the ONE Touch going into the video menu.

OS updated for Egro ONE Touch

The touch screen of the Egro ONE Touch has its own operating system. The OS is responsible for the

functions of the touch screen and is working in the background.

1. Operating system updated

Some displays showed a flickering of the screen while working, which runs as stripes over the screen. In

the updated OS the flickering is fixed.

Machines from PIN 34915-s/n 12.000.222 on are equipped with this operating system.

2. Retrofit

We recommend updating the coffee machines with touch screen to the new version of the OS.

If there is no problem with the display, you can do the update together with the next preventive

maintenance.

3. Update of the OS

To upgrade the software follow the standard procedure, as described here:

You need to copy to the root of the USB stick the two files “Os_399.tar” and “Os_399.md5”, which are in

the ZIP for the download.

The download you find in the web shop on our home page.

Insert USB stick in the front panel and follow the instructions on the screen. Select “Software upgrade”,

choose the file “Os_399.tar” from the dropdown list and press “Update”.

After the upgrade, remove the USB stick and the coffee machine will re-start automatically.

It is now showing the new operating system version:

Software Release V2.00, Egro ONE Viewer and Vacuum valve

We like to inform you about the novelties we have for the Egro ONE.

1. Egro ONE Viewer

The Egro ONE Viewer is software which allows to VISUALIZE the content of a parameter file. Parameter

files from both ONE Keypad (file extension *.par) and ONE Touch (file extension *.bck) are supported.

The use of the software is explained in the short manual which will be installed with the software; it is

available in English, Italian and German.

You will find it after the installation under the program “Egro ONE Viewer”.
