Connections
The connections are marke on the terminal
block or on a label an are presente in the
table below.
Connect the esignate loa phase (e.g. L1)
to L on the terminal block an the other 2
phases for loop thru (e.g. L2 an L3)
respectively to the terminal block as shown in
the Technical Diagrams section of this
manual.

Loop Through Connections
Connect incoming cable as shown above in
the respective section, then connect the
outgoing cable to the associate a joining
connection on the terminal block to pass to
the next luminaire. The outgoing cable may
also be connecte to the terminal block at
the opposite en to the incoming cable.
0-10 VDC Dimming (If Applicable)
Dimming is controlle by means of a 0-10
VDC signal (to be provi e by the installer) to
control the level of imming. At 10 volts, the
output of the unit is 100%; at 0 volts, the output
will shut off. The DC imming voltage shoul
not excee 15 VDC. Increasing the voltage
from 10 VDC to 15 VDC will not result in
a itional light output.
An analog 0-10 V active immer may be
connecte to the two wires to control the
light output of the fixture. Multiple lights may
be connecte to the same immer, as long
as the maximum current rating of the immer
is not excee e .
The immer must be capable of sinking 0.5
mA per light. Light output will vary
approximately linearly with control voltage,
with 10 V correspon ing to 100% light output.
WARNING: Never connect the imming wires
to the Hot or Neutral supply wires.
N TE: Simply shorting the two wires together
will cause the light to shut off.
Wireless Controls (if applicable)
Ensure gateway an /or enterprise server has
firmware version C3 or later. Refer to
gateway/enterprise server manual for
operation instructions.
Refer to www. ialight.com for quick start
gui es an full manuals.
DALI (standard)
See technical iagram section for hook up
locations.
Emergency Backup (if applicable)
See table in technical iagram section to
i entify meaning of flashing lights. Mark
battery with ate of install. Remove battery
cover an ensure battery an battery
in icator connectors are connecte .
The light performs perio ical function an
uration tests with initial elay times an
intervals efine in IEC 62034. The battery
must be replace when it no longer meets
the rate uration of operation after testing.
Please consult factory for replacement parts.
Closing the LED Luminaire
Remove any foreign bo ies from the fixture
Pay attention when closing the terminal tray
fitting to the enclosure; make sure the seals
are clean an un amage .
Do not allow any cables to become trappe
between the en cover an the enclosure.
Tighten both 4mm HEX socket screws evenly
to the specifie torque an re-check.
Taking into peration
Prior to operating, check the luminaire for its
correct installation in compliance with these
operating instructions an other applicable
regulations.
WARNING: Only fully certifie equipment may
be put into operation.
Conditions for Use
The supply to the luminaire must inclu e a
fuse which is capable of interrupting a 1.5kA
short circuit current.
When use with steel wire armour or
brai e cable the basket weave armour or
brai is unable to carry the cable loa
without fracture. The cable must therefore be
clampe an cleate to prevent pulling on
the cable being transmitte to the cable
terminations.
WARNING: Improper installation, operation,
or maintenance of this luminaire may result in
the invali ation of the warranty, certificate,
or eclaration of conformity.
For maximum long term reliability an light
output, the luminaire must be installe in free
air.
Maintenance
This LED luminaire shoul require a minimum
amount of maintenance. If any unforeseen
repairs are require , please contact Dialight
or its authorize representative.
Select parts are replaceable, please contact
factory for etails.
Inspection
Within the scope of maintenance or
inspection routine the following shoul be
inclu e :
• Consult the relevant national regulations
to etermine the type an extent of
inspections require
• A just inspection intervals accor ingly
to suit the operating con itions
• Perform maintenance in accor ance
with IEC 60079-17 an IEC 60079-19
Repairs / verhaul / Modification
The equipment must be operate accor ing
to the inten e purpose in a perfect an
un amage con ition.
N TE: Select replacement parts are
available, please contact factory for etails.
WARNING: Mo ifications to the evice or
changes of its esign are not permitte .
Disposal Recycling
When the apparatus is ispose of, the
respective national regulations on waste
isposal shoul be observe .
Secondary Retention
Part Number Description
HBXCAB48 48” Safety Cable
Connect safety cable to the retention
bracket on the luminaire (see technical
iagrams). When using a safety cable for
secon ary retention, ensure minimum slack
(no greater than 0.3 m/1 foot) in cable after
installation. Cable type, size, material, an
attachment metho to meet customer
application an to be appropriate with all
local an regional regulations.
