BEFORE USE, IT IS REQUIRED TO READ THIS INSTRUCTIONS
MANUAL! DEVIATING FROM THESE REQUIREMENTS MAY HAVE
FATAL CONSEQUENCES!
1.) WARNING: Work and movement in heights is a
dangerous activity, which requires thorough training and
knowledge of used products. Be sure to check the correct
function and integrity of the system components and the
fall protection before starting work. The instructions in
this manual describe the right steps to take care of your
protective equipment, so avoid other procedures that
may be incorrect and may endanger your life and health.
Neither the manufacturer nor the seller is responsible for
any damages caused by improper or improper use and / or
misuse of the product. The responsible person and the risk
taker are in all cases the users.
Health condition or physical condition of a user may impact
safety during an ordinary or extraordinary use.
2.) DESCRIPTION: This product is designed for rescue and
evacuation of persons from heights and depths, do not use
this product for other purposes. Its construction provides
a user with a high level of safety. It was made of materials
suitable for usual weather conditions and correct work
procedures. This product meets EN 1498:2006-B; ANSI/
ASSE Z359.4:2013 standards. Maximum load of a rescue
harness is 140 kg. Safety harness and a loop are designed
only for rescue and evacuation purposes. Rescue harness
is not designed to catch a fall. The exact specications of
product can be found on the product’s production label
(picture 2.1) and in the text on the product packaging.
This product must be delivered with a user manual.
3.) USE / SETTING THE HARNESS (picture 3.1): Rescue
harness must only be used by a person t in terms of health
for this type of work, suitably trained and liable for her/his
actions, therefore if you do not meet some of the conditions
of the rules for works in heights, avoid using this product.
If you lack sucient information or you need specic
information, contact a representative of a manufacturer in
your area or directly CRESTO GROUP AB at the address
specied in this manual. Prior to use (on a safe place prior
to ascent) inspect individual parts of the harness, their
intactness and proper function. It is necessary to regularly
inspect the closing and adjustment features also during
use. However, bear in mind that you have to pay attention
to eventual damage of textile materials by use. It is also
necessary to have a rescue plan that takes into account all
emergencies at work. Any interventions into construction
or repairs by a customer are prohibited. In case of rescue
works request information and training from your employer
(in line with valid Health and Safety Rules). We recommend
using the rescue harness within the temperature range
from -20°C to +60°C. A to be rescued person should be
suspended in a harness only for an inevitable period of time
to avoid trauma from suspension (picture 6.1a). A rescue
worker should ensure that a person to be rescued is not
endangered by shift of straps on a rescue loop/harness or
avoid unexpected contact with connecting features such
as spring hooks that could hit the head of a person to be
rescued for example during an unintended incident such
as a short fall. Be cautious and consider also the danger
caused by an electrical device (picture 6.1d) and moving
parts of the machines. It is always necessary to verify
needed free space under a user in such a way that a crash
to earth or another obstacle is not possible in the case of a
fall. Eventual pendular movement needs also to be taken
into consideration.
