CAUTION !!! The installation of this device must be performed only by personnel professionally qualied,
in compliance with national and local regulations, as well as with instructions in this manual.
Read these instructions carefully before installation.
The Cosmobit device is a modulating room thermostat that communicates with the boiler via a data bus. This communication
allows the boiler to continuously adjust the ow temperature (sliding temperature), in order to accurately satisfy the room
setpoint set on the thermostat. In this way, the thermostat requires to the boiler the heating power strictly necessary to
satisfy the room temperature, optimizing gas consumption. Data communication also allows the display in the thermostat of
any errors present in the boiler itself. When Cosmobit is connected to the internet, it is possible to activate the weekly timer
thermostat function, capable of program the heating with a resolution of 10 minutes. Programming can be performed via
browser, smartphone or tablet. At any time it is possible to change the setting of the room temperature, simply by rotating
the command dial of Cosmobit.
Cosmobit does not regulate the temperature of domestic hot water.

1 - THERMOSTAT INSTALLATION
1.1 Determine the correct position where to install the thermostat.
Respect the rules of the images below:

• On Mydens and Q30 boilers the two wires will be connected on the terminal board to the TA terminals.
• On caldaie Novadens, Cielodens, Inkadens, Topdens, the two wires will be connected on the terminal board to the OT.
Install the OT card beforehand, supplied with Cosmobit as shown in the pictures below:
• Open the boiler electrical box“A”
• Install the board “B” with the screws “C”
• Connect the supplied wires to the “B” board, to the “D” terminal
• The two wires coming from Cosmobit will be connected to the OT terminals (7-8) present in the boiler terminal box.
1.7 Restore the boiler power supply.
The thermostat will now be operational. Before the room temperature is displayed, different ones will follow
startup screens:

At the end, make sure that the temperature shown is in accordance with the temperature at that point in the environment
and that, by turning the thermostat ring, the setpoint temperature can be modied (turning the ring the display assumes the
appearance of the gure below).

1.8 Boiler settings and operation.
Cosmobit can dialogue with the boiler in 3 different operating modes, which must be selected directly on the boiler according
to the parameters:
Models MYDENS and Q30, parameter “2003”
MYDENS models built after 1/1/2019, parameter “2001”
Novadens, Cielodens, Inkadens, Topdens models, parameter “CH”
NOTE: consult the boiler manual for the boiler adaptation settings for the various types of system.
• Mode 0: the boiler starts and stops whenever the temperature detected by Cosmobit deviates by at least 0.5 ° C from the
setpoint set. The boiler ow temperature is calculated by a PID algorithm, present in Cosmobit, such as to calculate the
minimum ow temperature, sufcient to satisfy the room temperature set on Cosmobit . The adjustment mode obtained with
this setting could be affected by the thermal inertia of the system and therefore not very comfortable for the user.
•Mode 1: In this mode, the external probe must be installed on the boiler. The ow temperature is calculated based on the
climatic curve set on the boiler. The boiler starts or stops whenever the temperature detected by Cosmobit deviates by at least
0.5 ° C from the setpoint set. If the ow temperature, calculated from the climatic curve of the boiler, is too low, it is possible
that Cosmobit does not reach the desired temperature. It is advisable to set a sufciently high climatic curve on the boiler.
The adjustment mode obtained with this setting is not affected by the thermal inertia of the system, resulting more
comfortable and more energy-saving than “Mode 0”.
1.9 Check connection between boiler and Cosmobit.
In order to check whether the boiler is correctly connected to Cosmobit, it is sufcient to generate the gas shortage error
(turn on the boiler and close the gas tap) and check that the same error number appears on the boiler on Cosmobit.
NOTE: at this time Cosmobit is not yet connected to the gateway, so the icon at the top right will ash, preceded by an
exclamation mark.

2 - COSMOBIT-GATEWAY CONNECTION AND CONFIGURATION OF INTERNET
CONNECTION
Connect the gateway to the power supply.
During startup the LEDs will light up red.
The connection between the gateway and Cosmobit will be
established automatically and the LEDs will all turn green,
except for the one with the “internet connection” symbol (the
rst on the left). Attention if the central LED remains red, this
means that the gateway has not connected to the Cosmobit.
First make sure that the distance is not excessive. In case of
persistence of the red led even at short distances proceed
with a new binding between the 2 devices (see chapter 5).
Connect the Ethernet cable from the Gateway to an internet
router.
The gateway will automatically connect to the internet via the
modem-router. When the internet connection is established,
the internet connection symbol will change from red to
blinking green.
If the connection between Cosmobit and gateway has been
successful, it can also be seen from the Cosmobit which on
the display will show the following symbol.

3 - CREATION OF THE ACCOUNT
3.1 Creation of the account.
Access the portal via the link below or via the QR code,
alternatively you can create the new account, directly from your smartphone or tablet, by downloading the Honeywell app
“Total Connect Comfort”
Once the App is downloaded, select the desired language and complete the various phases, as indicated in the
online procedure itself.
Downloading the App on your smartphone will allow you to monitor the operation of the Cosmobit remotely and set the time
slots for the whole week.
Login user name and password are those chosen in chapter 3.1
3.2 Installation Name.
After completing the registration and activating it via the conrmation email, a name must be given Installation.
Keep in mind that it is possible to have more installations under control so the name should help you understand what boiler is
is managing (sea house, apartment in the center, etc.). The procedure will ask you for the MAC address and CRC number,
these two values are shown in a sticker under the gateway (gure below).
The MAC and CRC codes are shown on the gateway identication label.
