Please read theentire instruction manual before using theproduct and then save
it for future reference. We reserve theright for any errors in text or images and any

1. Safety
• Keep thelaser level’s warning labels in readable condition.
• Never point thelaser towards people or animals and never look into thelaser
yourself. Even low intensity lasers can cause permanent eye damage.
• This product contains no parts that you can repair yourself. Warning! The laser
level may not be disassembled, opened or modified in any way. Doing so may
expose theuser to harmful laser beams.
• The laser may not be used for purposes other than to project laser lines for
thepurposes of measuring.
• This laser level generates laser beams in accordance with IEC 60825-1, class II
standards. Laser beams always pose arisk of blinding both people and pets.
• Only let qualified tradesmen repair this instrument and only using original parts.
• Never point thelaser onto reflective material.
• This product is not atoy. Never let children use thelaser level without supervision.
The possible risk of inadvertently blinding someone is always present.
• Never position thelaser level in such away that thebeam projects at eye level and
could possibly shine into someone’s eyes.
• Never leave thelaser level on and unattended. Always turn it off after use. There is
always apossible risk that someone could be blinded by thelaser beam.
Extra safety regulations specifically for lasers
Warning! Laser emissions.
Laser class II, 635 nm.
Never look directly into thelaser beam.
Never look into thelaser beam using optical instruments.

3. Inserting batteries
Remove thebattery cover (5) and insert
3 x AA/LR6 batteries (sold separa-
tely) observing thepolarity markings in
thecompartment. Refit thebattery cover
and ensure it sits securely.
Warning! Always switch thelaser off
before changing batteries.
• Change batteries when either of
theindicator lights, (8) or (9) begin
flashing red on thecontrol panel.
• Never mix old and new batteries or
batteries of different types.
• Remove any discharged batteries
immediately.
4. Operating instructions
1. Place thelaser level on afirm horizontal surface or screw it onto thetripod.
2. Set the[ON/OFF] switch (1) to theON position. Select thedesired setting
by pressing [MODE]:
There are four modes to select from:
- A. Normal cross-line self-levelling mode is thedefault function when first turned
on: Cross-line laser (unlocked with self-levelling and incline warning activated).
- B. Press [MODE] once to switch to ahorizontal mode.
- C. Press [MODE] twice to switch to avertical mode.
- D. Press [MODE] athird time for cross-line locked mode (incline warning
deactivated). Depending on what is selected, indoor or outdoor mode, one of
these indicator lights, (8) or (9) will show asteady red to indicate cross-line locked
mode. Press [MODE] once again to return to normal cross-line laser mode.
3. In normal cross-line laser mode theself-levelling feature will automatically
compensate for asmall margin of incline error (within 4°). The laser beam is ready
to be referenced once thebeam is solid and still. Note! If theinstrument is inclined
more than 4° from thehorizontal, theself-levelling feature will not work.
Angles exceeding 4° will cause theindicator lights, (8) or (9) to show asteady red
and thelaser beam to flash. The angle must be within 4˚ of horizontal for theself-
levelling feature to work.

Indoor and outdoor use
Press [SHIFT] to select theenvironment of use - outdoors or indoors. One of
theindicator lights will be lit, (8) or (9) depending on thesetting selected:
The indoor setting is designed for indoor, short distance use in normal lighting.
Working range: up to 15 m.
The outdoor setting is designed for longer distances and must be used in conjunction
with alaser receiver (sold separately). Working range: up to 30 m.
Tripod use
The laser level has a1/4″threaded connection at its base. Using atripod will make
thepositioning of height and angle settings easier.
Transport and storage
Always turn off thelaser level by setting the[ON/OFF] (1) switch to OFF during
transport or when not in use. In theOFF position thelaser will also be locked which
protects it from sudden movements.
5. Care and maintenance
• Always protect thelaser from dust and splashes.
• Always handle thelaser with thecare of theprecision optical instrument that it is.
• Use alightly moistened cloth to clean thelaser level when necessary. Use amild
detergent and never use solvents or strong, abrasive cleaning agents for cleaning
as these can damage theproduct. During cleaning, remove thebatteries and
wipe thebattery compartment clean with adry cloth (the device’s electronic
components are IP54 certified but thebattery compartment is not).
• Do not expose thelaser level to knocks, continuous vibration or extremely high
or low temperatures.
• Store thelaser level in asafe place out of children’s reach.
• Turn theinstrument off after use. Make sure theswitch is in theOFF position
before putting it away for storage.
• Remove thebatteries from theproduct if it is not to be used for anextended period.
• Remove thebatteries and use adry cloth to wipe out thebattery compartment
after each use.

6. Troubleshooting
