Safety
• This toaster may be used by children of 8 years and above and
by persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capability
or lack of experience and knowledge provided they have been
given supervision or instruction concerning use of theproduct
in asafe way and understand thehazards involved.
• Never let children play with thetoaster.
• Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children
unless they are older than 8 and supervised.
• Keep theproduct and its mains lead out of reach of children
under theage of 8.
• Warning: Nevertry to stick aforeign object into thetoaster
slots while it is plugged in or inuse.
• Always let thetoaster cool completely before cleaningit.
Neverstick aforeign object into thetoaster when it is in use,
plugged in or when warm afteruse.
• Toast can start to burn during toasting, therefore, never place
thetoaster close to or beneath flammable materials such as
curtains.
• Never use thetoaster in conjunction with anextension lead,
timer or other timer controlled equipment.
• Unplug themains lead and let thetoaster cool before
cleaningit. Iftheproduct has acrumb tray it should be
emptied and cleaned regularly. Useasoft, damp cloth to clean
thetoaster. Neveruse solvents or corrosive cleaning products.

• Place the toaster on a flat, non-flammable surface where air
can circulate freely around it.
• Never leave thetoaster unattended while inuse.
• Unplug thetoaster immediately should it begin functioning
abnormally. Neverattempt to repair or modify theproduct in
anyway.
• Remove all packaging beforeuse.
• Do not place thetoaster where there is arisk of it falling into
water or other types of liquid.
• If thetoaster has fallen into water or other liquid during use,
do not touch theappliance. Unplug theappliance from
theelectrical socket immediately. Donot try to retrieve
thetoaster from thewater with your barehands.
• Ensure that theproduct is used with thecorrect voltage.
Referto the rating plate on the product.
• Make sure that themains lead does not come in contact with
hot surfaces such as cookerhobs.
• Thetoaster should only be used as described in
theinstruction manual.
• Keep in mind that thetoaster may get hot duringuse.
• Never insert cutlery, tools or similar objects into theproduct.
• Always unplug thetoaster from thewall socket before
cleaning it or when it is not to be used for alongtime.
• Never subject thetoaster to rough treatment, such as knocks
andblows.
• Do not pull or carry thetoaster by thelead. Donot use
thelead as ahandle or allow thelead to become pinched in
anyway. Donot pull thelead around sharp corners oredges.
• Thetoaster should only be used and stored indoors.
• Do not use thetoaster if its mains lead or plug is damaged.
Donot use theproduct if you have dropped it on thefloor,
leftit outdoors or dropped it intowater.

• Do not open thehousing. Thecasing contains dangerous and
exposed current-carrying components. Contact with these
components could result in electricshock.
• Thetoaster should only be repaired by qualified service
personnel.
• Thetoaster should not be disassembled or modified.
• If theproduct should start to emit smoke, switch it off
immediately and pull theplug out of thewall socket.
Note:
• Do not toast any pastry containing any type of filling or frosting.
• Do not toast any broken slices ofbread.
• Do not toast bread containing any type of spread/toppings or
with any type of wrapping.
• Do not toast any type of buns such as mini-baguettes,
bread-sticks,etc.

Operating instructions
Before initial use
Run thetoaster empty on maximum setting afew times in awell-ventilated area as
thetoaster can emit strong odours whennew. Thisis quite normal and is caused by
theburning of residues due to themanufacturing process.

Toasting
1. Make sure that thelever is in theup position.
2. Plug themains lead into anearthed wall socket.
3. Insert bread into thetoastingslots.
4. Choose thedesired browning level, 1(lightest) to 6(darkest) by turning
thebrowning controlknob. Experiment until you find thesetting most to your liking.
5. To start toasting, depress thelever until itlocks. Thelever will only lock into place if
thetoaster is connected to awall socket.
6. Thetoaster automatically turns itself off and the toast pops up when it isready.
Thetoasting process can be stopped manually at any time by pressing
the[Cancel] button.
7. Make sure that thelever is in theup position before unplugging thetoaster.
Defrosting
Follow steps 1–5 above and then press the [Defrost] button. Thetoaster automatically
shuts off once thebread has defrosted.
Reheating
Previously toasted bread can be reheated by following steps 1–5 described in
theToasting section above and thenby pressing the [Reheat] button. Thetoast will
then be shortly reheated before thetoaster automatically shutsoff. Keepaneye on
thebread while toasting to ensure that it does notburn.
Care and maintenance
• Unplug themains lead and let thetoaster cool before cleaningit.
• Neverimmerse theproduct in water or other liquid. Cleanthetoaster’s exterior
by using alightly moistened cloth and amild detergent. Avoidusing solvents and
abrasive cleaning agents.
• Emptythecrumb tray regularly.
Responsible disposal
This symbol indicates that this product should not be disposed of with general
household waste. This applies throughout theentire EU. In order to prevent
any harm to theenvironment or health hazards caused by incorrect waste
disposal, theproduct must be handed in for recycling so that thematerial can
be disposed of in aresponsible manner. When recycling your product, take
it to your local collection facility or contact theplace of purchase. They will
ensure that theproduct is disposed of in anenvironmentally sound manner.

• Dra ut nätsladden ur vägguttaget och låt brödrosten svalna
före rengöring. Tömoch rengörev. smulbricka regelbundet.
Använd enlätt fuktad trasa för att rengöra brödrosten.
Användaldrig lösningsmedel eller frätande kemikalier.

• Placera brödrosten på ettplant, brandsäkert och stabilt
underlag där luften kan cirkulera fritt.
• Lämna aldrig brödrosten oövervakad när den används.
• Om brödrosten fungerar onormalt vid användning, dra
omedelbart ut stickproppen ur vägguttaget. Försök aldrig
reparera eller modifiera brödrosten på någotsätt.
• Ta bort allt förpackningsmaterial före användning.

• Använd brödrosten endast på det sätt som beskrivs iden här
bruksanvisningen.
• Tänk på att brödrosten kan bli het under användning.
• Stick aldrig ner bestick eller liknande föremål ibrödrosten.
• Dra alltid stickproppen ur vägguttaget när brödrosten inte ska
användas under enlängre period.
• Utsätt inte brödrosten för slag eller stötar.
• Dra eller bär inte brödrosten inätsladden. Använd inte
sladden som handtag och se till att den inte kommer ikläm.
Draden inte heller runt vassa hörn eller kanter.
• Brödrosten får endast användas och förvaras inomhus.
• Använd inte brödrosten om nätsladden eller stickproppen
är skadade. Använd den inte heller om du har tappat den
igolvet eller ivatten.
• Öppna inte höljet. Farlig spänning finns oskyddad på vissa
komponenter innanför höljet. Kontakt med dessa kan ge
upphov till elektriska stötar.
