Safety
General requirements for household electrical appliances
• Theproduct may be used by children of 8 years and above and
by persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capability
or lack of experience and knowledge provided they have been
given supervision or instruction concerning use of theproduct
in asafe way and understand thehazards involved.
• Never let children play with theproduct.
• Cleaning and user maintenance must not be performed by
children without adult supervision.
Particular requirements for room heaters
Warning: Nevercover theproduct. Ifcovered, there is
arisk of overheating or evenfire.
Warning
• Theproduct can become very hot during use and causeburns.
Burnhazard. Special care must be taken if theproduct is used
in thesame room as young children, aged or infirm persons.
• Theproduct must never be placed directly beneath awall socket.
• Never use theproduct in theimmediate vicinity of bathtubs,
showers or swimmingpools.
• Theappliance must be kept out of reach of children under
3years of age unless they are under constant supervision.

• Children between theages of 3 and 8 years must only switch
theappliance on/off provided that it has been placed or installed
in its intended normal operating position and they have been
given supervision or instruction concerning use of theappliance
in asafe way and understand thehazards involved.
• Children between theages of 3 and 8 years must not plug in,
regulate and clean theappliance or perform user maintenance.
Safety instructions
Warning: Dangerous voltage
• Theproduct should not be used if it is in any way damaged
or malfunctioning. Donot use theproduct if themains lead or
plug is damaged in anyway.
• Themains lead must be changed if damaged. Thisis to
prevent therisk of electric shock or fire and should only be
carried out by themanufacturer, qualified service facility or
qualified technician.
• Theproduct must not be taken apart or modified. Certain
unshielded components inside thehousing carry dangerous
voltages. Contact with these can lead to fire or electricshock.
• Never lower theproduct into water or other liquids.
• Never touch thecontrol panel or plug with wethands.
• Never use theproduct in therain or in wet conditions.
Warning
• Never leave theproduct unattended while inuse.
• Do not touch any hot surfaces on theproduct; doing so could
result inburns. Nevermove theproduct while it is in use or
before it has cooleddown.
• Fire hazard. Flammable materials such as furniture, paper,
clothing and curtains must be at kept at adistance of at least
120cm away from thefront of theproduct above and at least
50cm in all other directions.

• Do not place towels or similar objects on theproduct.
• Ensure that theproduct is keptclean. Makesure that no
foreign objects can enter theventilation openings as this can
present arisk of electric shock orfire.
• Theproduct must never be used near flammable gases or liquids.
• Theproduct is only intended for normal domestic use and
only in themanner described in this instruction manual.
Usingtheproduct for other than its intended use may lead to
fire, electric shock, other types of personal injuries or material
damage.
• Children in thearea where theproduct is used must be kept
under supervision.
• Theproduct is intended for indoor useonly.
• Make sure to route themains lead behind theproduct so that
it is not heated by thehot air from theproduct.
• Theproduct must only be plugged into to anearthed
230 V, 50 Hz power outlet. Neverconnect theproduct to
theelectricity mains using anextensionlead.
Important
• Always unplug theproduct from thewall socket when it is not
inuse.
• Disconnect theproduct from thepower supply by unplugging
it from thewall socket. Makesure that thewall socket and
plug are easily accessible.
• Theproduct must not be connected to themains during
installation or service.
• Theproduct must only be used in theupright position.

Instructions foruse
Note
Bear in mind that factors such as thesize of theroom, theoutside temperature
and how well thebuilding is insulated, all affect theability of theheater to warm
theroomup. Iftheroom is too large theability of theheater to warm it up to
thedesired temperature may be insufficient.
1. Place theelectric stove on afirm, level floor surface.
2. Plug theproduct into awall socket.
Flame eect without fan heater function
1. Set the [I/0] switch (E) to Ito switch thestove on, theflame effect comeson.
2. Set the [I/0] switch to 0to switch thestove off, theflame effect will goout.
Flame eect plus fan heater function
1. Set the [I/0] switch to Ito switch thestove on, theflame effect comeson.
2. Turn thethermostat knob (H) clockwise to themaximum setting.
3. Press in [I] (F) to select 1000 W or press in both [I] and [II] (G) to select 2000 W.
4. When thedesired ambient temperature has been reached, slowly turn
thethermostat knob back until it clicks and thefan heater switchesoff.
Leavethethermostat knob in that position.
5. Thestove will maintain theset temperature by automatically switching on andoff.
6. Thetemperature can be adjusted by turning thethermostatknob:
- clockwise to raise thetemperature
- anticlockwise to lower thetemperature.
7. Set the [I/0] switch to 0to switch thestove off, theflame effect will goout.
Overheating protection
Theelectric stove is fitted with anoverheating safety cut-off protection device which
switches theappliance off if it overheats. To reset theoverheating protection device:
1. Set the [I/0] switch to 0.
2. Unplug thestove from thewall socket and let it cool for at least 15minutes.
3. Then plug theheater back into awall socket. Theheater should now work normally.
Care and maintenance
• Switch thestove off, unplug it from thewall socket and let it cool before cleaning.
• Clean theexterior of thestove using asoftcloth. Dampen thecloth with alittle
water if required, do not use detergent, solvent or corrosive chemicals.
• Get into thehabit of vacuum cleaning theair inlet and outlet regularly.
• Store thestove indoors when it is not inuse.
• Thelights inside theelectric stove are LEDs and cannot be replaced.

Responsible disposal
