• The product must not be modied or used for any other purpose than that for
which it has been designed. Regularly check that all screws and nuts are tight.
• Make sure that the motor’s rated voltage is the same as that of the wall socket.
• Damaged power leads and switches must always be replaced by a tradesman.
Never operate a tool if you cannot stop or start the tool comfortably.
• This machine is only intended for cutting brick, stone, oor and wall tiles, etc

General Safety Instructions Transportable Motor-Operated
Electric Tools
Warning: When using this tool all basic safety precautions must be followed to
avoid the risk of re, electrocution and personal injury. Read these instructions
carefully before using the product and keep them for future reference.
1. Keeptheworkareatidy.
Cluttered or dark areas and benches invite accidents.
2. Consideryourworkingenvironment.
Do not expose the tool to rain.
Do not use the tool in moist or wet areas.
Keep the work area well lit.
Never operate the tool near ammable liquid or gas.
3. Avoidelectricshocks.
Avoid bodily contact with earthed objects, such as pipes, radiators, ovens or
refrigerators.
4. Keepotherpeopleatasafedistance.
Do not allow anyone not involved in the work process to touch the tool or its
power lead, especially children. Keep all bystanders at a distance.
5. Storethetoolinasafeplace.
When your tools are not in use, keep them in a locked, dry area, away from
children.
6. Donotoverloadthetool.
The correct feed rate makes the work better and safer.

7. Usethecorrecttoolforthejob.
Do not try to use small tools to perform jobs requiring more powerful tools.
Do not use a tool for a purpose for which it was not designed, e.g. using a
circular saw for lopping off tree branches.
8. Wearsuitableclothing.
Do not wear loose-tting clothing or jewellery; they could get caught in moving
parts.
Non-slip shoes are recommended for outdoor work.
Wear a hairnet or similar if you have long hair.
9. Alwaysusesafetywear.
Wear safety glasses.
Use a dust mask or dust lter when working in dusty environments.
10.Usedustextractors.
If the tool is equipped with or connected to a dust extractor/collector, make
sure that it is turned on and used correctly.
11.Donotabusethelead.
Do not jerk the lead; grip the plug itself when disconnecting the power. Make
sure that the mains lead does not come into contact with heat, oil, or sharp
edges.
12.Firmlysecuretheworkpiece.
If possible use vices or clamps to hold the workpiece in place. This is much
safer than holding the workpiece by hand.
13.Donotoverreach.
Make sure that you stand steady and balanced all times.
14.Lookafteryoutools.
Make sure that they are clean and that the edges are sharp for maximum
effect and best results. Follow the manuals recommendations regarding
lubrication and replacement of accessories. Inspect the mains lead regularly.
If it is damaged it should be replaced by a qualied service technician. Inspect
all leads and cables regularly to check for any damage. Make sure that the
machine’s/tool’s handles and controls are clean, dry and free from oil and
grease.
15.Turnthepoweroff.
Pull out the plug and push in the emergency stop button before servicing or
changing any blades, drill bits, cutters or sanding discs.
16.Removeallspannersandrepairtools.
Make a habit of checking to make sure that the machine is free of all spanners
and tools before turning the power on.
17.Avoidaccidentalstarting.
Do not walk around with your nger on the trigger of a power tool if it is
plugged in. Make sure that the on/off switch is set to OFF before plugging in
any power tool.
18.Usethecorrectextensionleads.
If you use extension leads outdoors, only use those designed for outdoor use.
Only use extension leads with appropriately sized diameter core wires and roll
out the whole lead.

19.Usecommonsenseandcaution.
Think before carrying out any task, so that it is carried out safely. Never
operate machines/power tools when you are tired or under the inuence of
medicine.
20.Checkthefollowingbeforeturningthetoolon:
That all guards and other parts are whole and in working order.
That moving parts are free and correctly aligned.
That no moving parts can get caught.
That no defects are apparent.
Other factors that can inuence work execution.
A safety guard or any other part that is damaged should be repaired by a
tradesman or replaced. Damaged power leads and switches must always be
replaced by a tradesman. Never operate a tool if you cannot stop or start the
tool comfortably.
21.Useonlyrecommendedaccessories.
The use of non-recommended accessories can cause accidents and personal
injury.
22.Themachineshouldonlyberepairedbyaqualiedtechnician.
The tool conforms to current safety requirements. Repairs to the tool should
only be carried out by a tradesman using original spares; otherwise the tool
could cause accidents and personal injury.

Specific Safety Rules
Before Starting the Machine:
• Make sure that the power switch is set on “0” before connecting the machine to
a wall socket. Only connect the machine to an earthed wall socket.
• Makesurethatthebladeiswell-centredandundamagedbeforestarting
work.
• Use only cutting blades with the correct diameter and which are approved for
the speed of the machine.
• Do not tighten too much!
• Protect the cutting blade from moisture and blows.
• Make sure that the cutting blade can rotate freely before starting the machine.
• Always pull the plug out of the wall socket before servicing and adjusting the
machine.
Whilst Operating the Machine:
• Never use the machine without the blade guard in place.
• Never stand in line with the cutting blade when turning the machine on.
• Pull out the plug if the machine is left unattended.
• Stand steady and hold the machine rmly in both hands.
• Do not exert lateral pressure onto the blade.
• Be aware of the power cable when using the machine. Do not let it come into
contact with any moving parts.
• Do not hold small tiles in your hands when cutting them, use a push-stick.
Switch the machine off immediately if…
• The machine starts to behave strangely, e.g. emits smoke, sparks, strange
noises or starts vibrating.
• The machine’s power switch or electric cable is damaged.

Assembly
Important:Unplugtheleadbeforeassemblingthemachine.
1. Remove the water tray, then undo the two screws holding the lower blade
cover and remove the blade cover.
2. Remove the blade nut and the outer ange washer from the spindle using
supplied spanners (leave the inner ange washer on the spindle).
3. Make sure that the blade is mounted so that it rotates in the direction indicated
by the arrow on the lower blade cover.
4. First place the blade onto the spindle and then the outer ange washer and
nut. Tighten the nut using the supplied spanners (N.B: The inner and outer
ange washers are different).
5. Screw the lower blade cover back into place and reattach the water tray.
6. Attach the upper blade guard bracket using two screws, and then attach the
upper blade guard to the bracket using the coach bolt and nut.
Test run the tile saw for a minute without cutting anything, check that blade rotates
in the same direction as the arrow on the upper blade guard and that it does not
wobble.

Use
1. Fill the water tray up to the maxlevel mark.
2. Set the upper blade guard so that a tile just ts between the guard and the
table.
3. Think about how the task is to be performed. Set the parallel guide, tilt the
table and set the mitre angle if necessary before starting (the parallel guide
can be attached on either side of the blade). Measure using a ruler or tape
measure; the markings on the table are only for rough settings.
4. Plug the machine into a wall socket and start the motor by pushing 1 on the
on/off switch.
5. Feed the tile into the blade with a calm and even motion. Use the parallel guide
if necessary, and set the guide to the same mark on both ends.
6. Turn the motor off by pushing the 0 on the on/off switch.
Changing Blades
1. Remove the water tray, then undo the two screws holding the lower blade
cover and remove the blade cover so that the blade is accessible.
2. Remove the blade nut and the outer ange washer from the spindle using
supplied spanners (leave the inner ange washer on the spindle).
3. Fit a new diamond blade (Ø 180 mm x 2.0 mm, bore Ø 22.2 mm, having no
teeth or slits)
4. Make sure that the blade is mounted so that it rotates in the direction indicated
by the arrow on the lower blade cover.
5. First place the blade onto the spindle and then the outer ange washer and
nut. Tighten the nut using the supplied spanners (N.B: The inner and outer
ange washers are different).
6. Screw the lower blade cover back into place and reattach the water tray.
