1. Before you start
Before you can use your F4 radio, you need the following:
1. First connect the power adapter to the radio and your 220V wall connector/plug.
2. Press and hold the power buon five second to turn on the radio.
3. Display will show Time is not set. Press ON/OFF buon to turn on the radio.
4. An automac scan for DAB+ channels will start.
5. When finished the radio will start playback of the first staon found.

1) Antenna. Fully extend and adjust the antenna for best recepon in your area. Antenna is
used for both DAB/DAB+ and FM recepon.
2) ON/OFF Buon. Press and hold to turn the radio complete ON/OFF. Press ON/OFF buon
once to go into standby mode or turn on if already in standby. NOTE: The radio is equipped
with a built-in rechargeable baery. The baery will be charged when connected to power.
3) MODE Buon. Switch between DAB+/FM/Bluetooth and Auxiliary Input.
4) UP/DOWN Buons. Choose DAB+ staon. When staons name is shown on display, press
VOL/SEL buon to select. In FM Mode used to change the FM frequency (Hold down to
auto scan). Enter system menu can press UP/DOWN for choosing different menu sengs.
eg. Alarm sengs.
5) INFO Buon. Press repeatedly to change between the different informaon’s about the
current radio staon (If available). Under DAB+/FM/Bluetooth/Auxiliary Input mode system
sub menu press and hold INFO buon return to parent menu level.
6) MENU Buon. Choose between different menu sengs.
Set presets
a) First find a radio staon (DAB+ or FM) that you wish to save as preset.
b) Press MENU buon and display will show Preset Recall.
c) Press UP buon unl the display show Preset Store. Press VOL/SEL to select. Presets (1-10)
are displayed as either Empty or with the currently stored staon name.
d) Use the UP/DOWN buons to choose a preset memory then press VOL/SEL to store the
currently-playing staon.
e) Aer confirming the preset staon is stored and the display reverts to the Now playing
screen.
To recall a preset staon
a) Press MENU buon and display will show Preset Recall. Press VOL/SEL to select.
b) Press UP/DOWN buons to choose the displayed preset staon.
c) Press VOL/SEL to select.
7) VOL/SEL buon. This rotary buon has mulple funcons:
a) Is used to adjust volume. This is done simply by turning the knob clockwise (Volume up)
or counter clockwise (Volume down).
b) Is used to confirm choices and sengs like Alarm Seng etc.
c) If VOL/SEL is pressed a single me, the radio will MUTE the sound. Press again to turn
MUTE off.

Press MODE buon unl display shows DAB. Last played staon will start playback.
Use the UP/DOWN buons to scroll through the available staons. When the desired staons shows on the
display, Press VOL/SEL to choose.
6. FM Playback
Press MODE buon unl display shows FM. Last played staon/frequency will show.
Use the UP/DOWN buons to change frequency (Press and hold to auto scan).
7. Bluetooth setup
To manually pair the F4 with an available Bluetooth device
First press MODE buon unl Bluetooth is shown in the display. Then press and hold the Mode buon unl the
display shows the message ‘Bluetooth Discoverable’. Release the buon and use the Bluetooth setup on your
smart device to pair (we refer to the user guide of the smart device) and connect with the F4. (Search for Clint | F4).
Once the devices are paired and a connecon established (indicated by a steady Bluetooth signal strength icon)
the Bluetooth equipped smart device can stream audio to the F4 radio.

8. Auxillary Playback
Connect a music device with AUX/Headphone out to the AUX in on the back of F4 using a 3.5mm audio cable
and start playback.
9. System sengs
The System Sengs allow you to tailor the F4 with a variety of opons to suit you.
To access system sengs from any mode
Select Menu > System >, then choose from the various opons as described in the menu map on
page 5 and below.
The System Seng Menu opons are:
• Sleep
• BD address
• SW version
• Soware Upgrade
• Factory Reset
• Language
• Inacve Standby
• Backlight
• Time
• Equaliser
• Alarm
To navigate through the menus
The following controls are used to move about the menu tree to choose and select the required sengs:
UP/DOWN – Cycles up and down through the current menu or seng opons.
Press VOL/SEL when the desired Menu opon is shown on the display. If the opon has
a further sub-menu the first opon of the sub-menu is displayed. If the opon is a seng
value, the displayed value is selected.
Note: Current or default values are indicated by an asterisk (*) on the right-hand side of the top line of the
character display.
INFO – Under DAB+/FM/Bluetooth/Auxiliary Input mode system sub menu press and hold INFO buon return
to parent menu level.
VOL/SEL – Press VOL/SEL for confirm selecon.

9.1 Sleep
To set the sleep mer while the radio is playing
Select Menu > System > Sleep . You can choose the sleep delay me in minutes from:
Sleep Off | 15 | 30 | 45 | 60 | 90
Use UP/DOWN buons to cycle through the opons. Press VOL/SEL to confirm.
Once you select a sleep delay period, the display returns to the sleep set screen. Aer the sleep delay period
the radio switches to standby mode.
9.2 BD address
This displays the Bluetooth MAC address for the F4 device.
9.3 SW version
This displays the current soware version.
9.4 Factory reset
A factory reset clears all user defined sengs, replacing them with the original default values, so me/date,
preferences/sengs, DAB+ staon list and preset staons are all lost.
If you select Factory reset, you are asked to confirm by selecng Yes.

9.5 Language
The language used for display messages can be selected from:
English | Dansk | Deutsch | Français
9.6 Inacve Standby
The F4 display can be set to automacally switch to standby mode aer a period of inacvity. The Timeout
period values, aer which Standby mode is entered are:
• Timeout - Off | 2 hour | 4 hour | 5 hour | 6 hour
9.7 Backlight
The F4 display has a backlight with three brightness sengs, and adjustable meout (this is the me delay, in
seconds, aer which the display switches to the Dim level).
There are three sengs:
• Timeout - Light On | 10 | 20 | 30 | 45 | 60 | 90 |120 | 180
• On level - Low | Mid | High
• Dim level - Low | Mid | High

The Time menu contains the following opons:
• Set Time/Date – (see below)
• Auto update – Update from Any | Update from DAB | Update from FM | No Update
• Set 12/24 hour – 12 | 24
• Set date format – DD-MM-YYYY | MM-DD-YYYY
Set Time/Date
This opon is for manually seng the me and date displayed. The me displays as hh:mm , with the first
value, hh, acve (flashing). Adjust each value using the Up/Down buon and press VOL/SEL to confirm.
The next value then becomes acve and flashes. The date values follow and are set in the same way.
Note: The date displays as DD-MM-YYYY or MM-DD- YYYY depending on your choice of date format (see above).
9.9 Equalizer
This presents a number of preset sengs plus a My Equalizer opon to allow you to create your own equalizer
sengs.
My EQ… | Normal | Classic | Jazz | Pop | Rock | Speech
9.9.1 My EQ…
This opon allows you to set a bias in the treble and bass audio frequencies. Values can be set between
-7 (Minus 7) and +7 (plus 7).
Treble – (Use the up/down keys to choose a value between -7 and +7)
Bass – (Use the up/down keys to choose a value between -7 and +7)
9.10 Alarm
To set alarm
Select Menu > System > Alarm > Alarm 1 Setup.
9.8 Time
The me and date can be updated manually or automacally. With auto-update, the me and date are
automacally synchronized with naonal me signals broadcast over DAB+ and FM (when available).
You can also select the display format for the me and date.
