3 Operation
4 Maintenance
At the front of the heating module housing there is a
LED indicator informing the user about the operat-
ing status of the heater and a temperature regulation
knob (Fig. 4). Blinking of the diode indicates the heat-
er operation.
Temperature setpoint adjustment is made manually
using the knob in the range from MIN (minimum set-
ting) to MAX (maximum setting). Temperature adjust-
ment range is 32-72°C. For optimal life of the heater,
long-term operation at the maximum setpoint is not
recommended.

The condition of continuous operational readiness,
reliability and a long service life is a periodic overview
and maintenance.
Maintenance activities include:
• Making periodic inspections during which the
heating elements must be cleaned from scale. It
interferes with the ow of heat which increases
power consumption and may damage the heating
element.
• Clean dirty surfaces with a damp cloth and clean-
ing agents.
The heating element is equipped with an integrated
temperature limiter (i.e. STB), which protects the heat-
er against overheating above 87°C, and damage. If
the temperature limiter is triggered (the heating ele-
ment stops heating), disconnect the heating element
from the power supply and determine the cause of op-
eration of the limiter. To restart the heater, remove the
temperature regulation knob (Fig. 5).
The button (reset) located underneath must be pressed
using a at, thin screwdriver. Put on the knob and con-
nect the heating element to the power supply. After
cooling the water to a temperature of approx. 65°C,
the heater returns to the normal mode. The reasons
for the temperature limiter operation may be water
temperature rise above 87±7oC caused, among oth-
ers, by a thermostat failure, supply of high tempera-
ture water or overheating it from another source (e.g.
coil pipe). Moreover, water hardness in the part of the
heating module can also cause the operation of the
STB limiter.

IMPORTANT
Operation of the STB temperature limiter is a warning.
Identify and eliminate the causes, then press the „reset”
button to return to default settings. If after removing the
causes of operation of the limiter and resetting it the prob-
lem persists, contact an authorized service centre.
CAUTION
The electrical module must not be connected to mains
if the tank is empty or if the heating element is not com-
pletely immersed in water. If it is necessary to drain the
tank (e.g. for the risk of water freezing). rst, disconnect
the heating module from electrical power supply or dis-
connect the protections in the other modules.
CAUTION
When using a dierent heat source (e.g. slow-burning boil-
er) after the heating season, check the correct operation
of the heating element. If malfunctions occur (the heater
does not heat), follow the steps described in the chapter
entitled „3 Service”, sub-chapter „Thermal protection”.
CAUTION
Lime deposits on the heating part may damage the heat-
ing elements. For this reason, it is necessary to do period-
ic inspections and clean the heating elements of the lime
deposits. Frequency of cleaning must be adjusted accord-
ing to own observations, taking into account hardness of
water in the system. Do not clean the heater using strong
chemicals, as well as using sharp tools.
