NOTICE
Damage to equipment due to dirty or wet
connections and plugs!
If connections and plugs get dirty or wet,
betterPacks may no longer function correctly.
• Always keep the connections and plugs clean
and dry by using dust caps and keeping plugs
away from dust and water.
• When using betterPacks type “multi” indi-
vidually, the connections are unprotected.
Therefore, the connections must be checked
regularly and cleaned if necessary see “5
Cleaning” on page 8.
2.4 If a product is broken
Never open, repair or modify betterPacks yourself. Always
contact the manufacturer to have them repaired.

3.1 Unpacking betterPacks
1. Carefully open the shipping box.
2. Remove the internal xation.
3. Li betterPacks out of the shipping box with another
person and set them down in a safe place. It is ready for
use once removed from the shipping box.
4. Keep the internal xation and the packaging for future
transport, return or long-term storage.
5. Check that the scope of the delivery is complete. The
shipping box must contain betterPacks, dust caps for all
connections and the user manual.
6. Check that betterPacks are undamaged.
7. If you notice any missing or damaged parts, contact
the manufacturer see “2.4 If a product is broken” on
page 6.
3.2 Conditions for the installation site
• Always place betterPacks on a rm and even surface.
• betterPacks can be used indoors and outdoors. If you use
betterPacks outdoors, avoid rain and direct sun to extend
the life of betterPacks. If you use betterPacks indoors,
always check that the humidity in the room is below 95%.
• Check that you can meet the requirements for ambient
temperature see “9 Technical Data” on page 11. If
the ambient temperature is outside the required range,
betterPacks will safely turn o.
• Check that the charging/discharging device is near a
power socket while charging betterPacks and that the
charging cable is not under tension.
• Never use betterPacks in explosive atmosphere.
• Never use betterPacks for a long period in areas with high
salt concentration in ambient air or water, such as on the
seaside or in winter on streets on which de-icing salt is
used, or in other highly corrosive environments.
• Never position betterPacks close to any heat source, such
as heaters or appliances with high thermal irradiation.
Always keep a distance to such heat sources so that you
can meet the requirements for ambient temperature
see “9 Technical Data” on page 11.
• Never position betterPacks close to any explosive or
dangerous substances, such as petrol.
4 Using
4.1 Checking betterPacks
1. Check betterPacks, including connections, before using
them.
2. If you notice any damage, such as cracks, brittleness,
smell, smoke, fading of the original colour or ejected
liquids, do not use the aected betterPacks and immedi-
ately contact the manufacturer see “2.4 If a product is
broken” on page 6.
4.2 Stacking betterPacks
1. Remove the dust caps from the connections and put
them aside for later use.
2. Li and carry betterPacks with another person.
3. Align the connection of the charging/discharging device
and the connection of the betterPack vertically, one
above the other.
4. Carefully stack the rst betterPack on the charging/dis-
charging device without any force.
