1 General
This instruction manual provides important information on using the
machine/equipment.
Safe operation can only be ensured by following all the safety instructions and
directions contained in the manual.
The local accident prevention regulations and generel safety regulations for
the machine‘s/equipment‘s area of use must also be complied with.
Read the instruction manual carefully before starting any work.
The manual is a component part of the product and must be kept in immediate
vicinity of the machine for use by staff at all times.

1 General
1.4 Appropriate use
A trapezoid blade, operated by leverage, is used to cut
pleated and honeycomb fabrics to:
- Curtain-width
-Proletrackmeasurements,withcorrectionmeasurementscanbeset
The following limits must be complied with:
- max. fold depth: 25 mm
- max. packet height: 115 mm
- max. Measuring stop up to: 2400 mm (with stop plate)
Any use that deviates from the specifications in the section entitled
„Appropriate use“ is inappropriate and prohibited.
The following are not permitted:
•Operationinafaultyconditionorintheeventofmalfunctions
that affect safety, e.g.:
- Unauthorised modifications to the machine/equipment
- Use of unsuitable personnel
•Exceedingthespecifiedlimits!
•Cuttingfabricsotherthanthosespecified.

2 Safety
2.1 Introduction
This section provides an overview of all the important safety aspects for
ensuring optimum protection of personnel and safe, trouble-free operation.
Failure to comply with the directions and safety instructions contained in this
manual can give rise to serious risks.
2.2 Operator‘s responsibility
The machine/equipment is used in the commercial sector.
Its operator is therefore subject to statutory health and safety requirements.
The safety, accident prevention and environmental regulations for the
machine‘s/equipment‘s area of use must therefore be complied with in addition
to the health and safety instructions contain in the instruction manual.
The following requirements are especially important:
•Theoperatormustreaduponthecurrentindustrialsafetyregulationsand
carry out a risk assessment to identify any additional risks arising from the
particular working conditions where the machine/equipment is used.
There must be translated into operating instructions for the
machine/equipment.
•Fortheentiretimethemachine/equipmentisusedtheoperatormustcheck
whether the operating instructions that have been drawn up are in accordance
with the latest version of the regulations and amend them accordingly if
necessary.
•Theoperatormustassignanddefineresponsibilityforinstallation,operation,
maintenance and cleaning unambiguously.

2.3 Operating personnel

Inappropiate operation can result in serious personal injury and
property damage.
Therefore:
•Particularactivitiesmustonlybecarriedoutbythepersonsspecied
in the relevant sections of this manual.
•Incaseofdoubt,specialistsmustbecalledin.
Theinstructionmanualspeciesthefollowingqualicationsforvariousareas
of activity:
•Trainedpersons
have received instruction from the operator in the tasks assigned to them and
the possible risks of inappropriate behaviour.
•Specialists
are able to carry out the work assigned to them and recognise possible risks
for themselves on the basis of their training, expertise and experience,
as well as their knowledge of the relevant regulations.
2.4 Personal safety equipment
The following must be worn for all work as a matter of principle:
Safety shoes
for protection against heavy falling objects and skidding on slippery
surfaces.
Protective workwear
is close-fitting work clothing with low tearing strength,
narrow sleeves and no protruding parts.
It mainly protects against catching in moving machine parts.
For cleaning:
Goggles
safety goggles for protection against flying material particles.
For maintenance/repair works:
Protective gloves
strong protective gloves (chain gloves) for protection against cuts.
