Pressingthekeyfor3secondsfromanymenulevelallowsyoutoreturntostandbystatus.Thisfeatureisvalidonlywhen
exploringthemenusorduringprogramming,evenifavoicemessagefromthemenuisplaying.Toreturntothemenu,youwill
needtoretypetheUserPIN.
If you use this command during programming, any data entered will be disregarded.
AccesstheUserMenu keybyenteringthefollowingformula:<UserPIN>
where<UserPIN>isa5-digitnumber(thefactorydefaultuserPINis00000).
Access to programming is indicated by the RED LED turning on (see the section "Status LEDs").
IMPORTANT - Keeping the
key pressed for 3 seconds does not cancel entry of the User PIN. If you
become aware that the PIN that you are typing is invalid, you need to wait a few seconds for the operation
to be cancelled automatically, or press the
key to finish the entry and then try again.
CAUTION-If you entertheUserPIN during acalltoaccess the UserMenu(yellowLED lit), thekeyinputswillnot
beconfirmedbya tone butthecodewillstill beaccepted andyouwillaccessthe menuat theendofthecall.You
cannot enter the User PIN at the beginning or end of a call (yellow LED switching).
Remote programming
Theusercanperformsomeoperationsremotelywitha PSTNorGSMphone(inthiscase,itneedstobeatouch-tone
telephone).Again,voiceinstructionsareprovidedtoassistwithprogramming.Forremoteoperations,accesstheremote
controlmenuinoneofthefollowingways:
1)DuringavoicecallfromtheBTEL-3G;pressthekeywhenthemessageisoverandbeforetheBTEL-3Gends
thecall.Whenthekeyisrecognized,theBTEL-3Gwillsoundadoubletone(beep-boop)confirmingthis;atthis
point,typeinthe <UserPIN>.
2)BymakingacalltotheBTEL-3Gfromatelephonenumberstoredinthephonebook.Afterrecognizingthetelephone
number,theBTEL-3Gacceptsthecallandsoundsadoubletone(beep-boop)asconfirmation;atthispoint,typein
the<UserPIN>.
The<UserPIN>isa5-digitnumber(thefactorydefaultuserPINis00000).
Ifnokeyispressedwithin10secondsthecallisended.Ifthe<UserPIN>youtypediniscorrect,theBTEL-3Gplays
thevoice message "CODEACCEPTED"andafter a 2-secondpause it beginstoplay the voicemenu; if thePINis
incorrect, the device will play the voice message "INCORRECT CODE" followed by a single tone (boop). The
maximumnumberoftriesallowedtoenterthe <UserPIN>is3,afterwhichtheBTEL-3Gwillendthecallandresume
itsnormaloperations(forexample,deliveringavoicemessagetoanothernumber).Ifthe<UserPIN>typedisvalid,the
UserMenu willopen,fromwhichyoucanperform thefollowing operations:Output Management, MonitorInput,
Environment Listen Management, Block Calls, and Change Code.
You must wait that the voice menu ends before you can do your choice!

toenabletheoutputortodisable;toexit,press.TheoperationisrepeatedforoutputsO2andO3.
