Alarm System. The PRO 9232 is a state - of - the - art auto security system that is

designed to automatically arm and disarm when it receives a command from your

existingFactoryKeylessEntryTransmitter.Takingafewmomentstoreadthismanual

willhelptoensurethatyourvehicleisprotectedatalltimes.

ARMING THE SYSTEM : ( ACTIVE )

1. Turnthe ignitionkeyoff,exitthevehicle,andclosealldoors.

2. Pressandrelease the Lockbuttononthekeychain transmitter.

3. Thesirenandorhornwillbeeponetime,theparkinglampswillflashone time,and

thereddashmountedL.E.D.willbegintoslowlyflash,indicating thatthesystem

isARMED.

NOTE:If the unit beeps three times when arming, then one of the entry points

( hood, trunk, or doors ) has been left opened. Closing the hood, trunk,

or door will correct the problem, and the system will emit a single chirp

toconfirmthattheproblemhasbeencorrected. Additionally,ifilluminated

entryisafeatureoftheFactoryKeylessEntrysystem,thealarmmaychirp

3 times every time the system is armed, and chirp one additional time

whenthe interiorlightturnsoffto confirmthat alltrigger zonesarefully

operational.

4. Anytimethedoorlockswitchinthevehicleisusedtolockthedoorswhilethe

ignitionkeyisturnedoff,thesystemwillimmediatelyarm. Tolockthedoorsafter

entering the vehicle, makesuretheignition key is switchedonfirst. Turningthe

ignition key on first will stop the system from arming.

ARMING THE SYSTEM : ( PASSIVE )

1. Turnthe ignitionkeyoff,exitthevehicle,andclosealldoors.

2. ThedashmountedL.E.D.will begin to flashrapidly,indicatingthatthesystemis

automatically(passively)arming.Asanaddedconvenience,the30second

automaticpassivearmingwillnotbeginuntilalldoorsareclosed,allowingpassengers

toexitthevehicleattheirconvenience.

3. In30seconds,youwill hear a single short chip from the siren, and the vehicle’s

parkinglampswillflashonetime,indicatingthat thesystemhasARMED.Atthis

time,thereddashmountedL.E.D.will begin to flash slowly, providing a visual

indicationthatthesystemisfully armed.

4. Itispossibletoprogramthesystem,thatwhenthealarmisallowedtoautomatically

passive arm, there will be a 15 second delay after a door is opened before the

alarmwillsound.However,ifthesystemisprogrammedfor instanttriggerthere

willbenodelay. Checkwithyourinstallerfor the setting of this feature.

IMPORTANT!

Whenthesystemisprogrammedforpassivearming,thesystem

willalwaysarm,evenwhenthekeychaintransmitterhasnot

been used to lock the doors.

When you leave the vehicle, and a door has been left opened, the system will

armafter10minutes. If you plantovacuum the car, or ifservicework is being

performed,eitherleavethekeyintheignitionandswitchedtotheonposition,

or put the system into valet mode. If you do not do this, the system will arm in

10minutes,and youwill probably inadvertentlytrip the alarm.

PROTECTION WHILE THE SYSTEM IS ARMED :

1. Openinganydoor,hood,ortrunkwillcausethealarmtoimmediatelysound.The

alarmwillcontinuetosoundfor30seconds,thenstopandautomaticallyre-arm

thevehicle.Ifthepotentialthiefleftadooropened,thealarmwillsoundforfivemore

30 second cycles, then re - arm and ignore the opened door zone.

2. Wheneverthesystemisarmed,thereddashmountedL.E.D.indicatorwillslowly

flash.Thisservesasavisualdeterrenttothepotentialthief.TheL.E.D.isavery

lowcurrentbulb,andwillnotcausethevehicle’sbatterytodrain,evenwhenthe

vehicleisleftunattendedforextendedperiods.

3. Wheneverthesystemistriggered,thevehicle’sparkinglightswillflashforthe30

secondalarmcycle,attractingaddedvisualattentiontothevehicle.

4. Wheneverthesystemisarmed,thevehicle’sstarterwillbedisabled.Thevehicle

willnotstart.

DISARMING THE SYSTEM :

1. Asyouapproachthevehicle,pressandreleasetheunlockbuttononthekeychain

transmitter.

2. Thesirenandorhornwillbeeptwotimes,theparkinglampswillflashtwotimes,

and the red dash mounted L.E.D. will turn off, indicating that the system is

DISARMED. Iftheoptionalentryilluminationfeaturehasbeeninstalled,the

vehicle’sinteriorlightswillturnonfor30seconds,oruntiltheignitionkeyisturnedon.

NOTE: Ifyoursystemhasbeenprogrammedfor“passivearming“,thenitwill

begin to re-arm immediately after disarming. This is indicated by a

rapid flashing of the red dash mounted L.E.D. Opening one of the

vehicle’sdoorswillsuspendthepassivearmingprocessuntilalldoors

have been closed, or until the ignition key has been turned on.

INTRUSIONWARNING SIGNALS :

Thesystemwillinformyouifanintrusionattempthasoccurredwhileyouwereaway

fromthevehicle.Ifanintrusionattempthasoccurred,thesirenandorhornwillbeep

four times when the system is disarmed. The vehicle’s parking lights will also flash

threetimesto indicate an intrusion has occurred.

Enterthe vehicleandobservethedashmountedL.E.D.forfurtherinformation.

1. IftheL.E.D.isflashingonetime...pause...onetime...pause...etc.,thenanintrusion

attemptwasmadetoavoltagesensing,lightactivatedentrypoint,ortoanoptional

sensor that has been connected to zone 1.

2. IftheL.E.D.isflashingtwotimes...pause...twotimes...pause...etc.,thenan

intrusionattemptwasmadetothehoodortrunk,ortoanoptionalsensorthathas

beenconnectedtozone 2.

3. IftheL.E.D.isflashingthreetimes...pause...threetimes...pause...etc.,thenan

intrusionattemptwasmade through oneofthevehicle’sdoors.

Theseintrusionwarningindicatorsarestored in the system’s memory, andwillonly

beerasedwhentheignitionkeyisturnedtothe“on“position.

OPERATING THE EMERGENCY PANIC:

The buttons on your keychain transmitter will allow you to immediately activate the

alarm in emergency situations. To use the remote panic switch;

1. Presstheunlock,thenlock,thenunlockbuttonsonyourkeychaintransmitterwithin

3seconds. Thealarmwillimmediatelysound,andcontinuetosoundfor30seconds.

2. Tostopthealarmbeforethe30secondcycle hasexpired,simply pressand

releasetheunlockbuttononyourkeychaintransmitter.

USING THE VALET SWITCH :

Thevaletswitchallowsyou to temporarily bypass all alarmfunctions,eliminatingthe

needtohandyourtransmittertoparking attendants or garage mechanics. When the

systemisinvaletmode, all alarm functions arebypassed,howevertheremotepanic

feature and remote door locks will remain operational. To use the valet mode, the

system must first be disarmed either by using your keychain transmitter, or by

activating yourpersonalizedmanualoverridecode.

TO ENTER THE VALET MODE:

1. Disarmtheunitbyuseofthefactorytransmitterorbyuseofthemanualoverride

sequence.

2. Turntheignitionswitch to the “On”position.

3. Pressandholdthevalet/override pushbutton switch for 5 seconds. The L.E.D.

turnson,indicatingvaletmodehas beensuccessfullyentered.

TO EXIT VALET:

With the ignition switch in the on position, press and release the valet/override

pushbutton switch one time. The L.E.D. turns off indicating the valet mode has

successfullybeenexited.

MANUALOVERRIDEOPERATION:

If your factory transmitter is lost, broken, or otherwise rendered inoperable, your

system can be overridden allowing operation of the vehicle. The manual override

code is pre-programmed at the factory to 11. This code can be changed by the

operatorto a more familiar two digit number. Once you’ve become familiar with the

system’s operation and override procedure, we suggest you change the code for

addedsecurity.

NOTE: The override procedure below describes use, assuming that the factory

pre-set code has not been changed and is still settothefactorydefault 11.

Thevalet/overridepush button switch is used to enter the tenths andunits

digits, pressing and releasing this button one time for each digit required.

To manually override your system, with a code of 11, follow the sequence listed

below:

1. TheL.E.D.isflashingindicatingunitisarmed,enterthevehicle,thesirenwillsound,

turntheignitionswitchtothe“on”position.

2. Within10secondsbegin to enter tenths digit of override code.

(Inthisexamplethecodeis11,sopress andreleasetheValet/Overridepushbutton

onetime).

3. Within10secondsof entering the last tenths digit, turn ignition “off then on”.

4. Within 10 seconds of turning the ignition switch on, begin to enter unitsdigit of

override code. (In this example the code is 11, so press and release the

Valet/Override pushbuttononetime).

5. Within5 seconds after the lastunits digit is entered, turn the ignition switch off,

thenon,andstartyourvehicle.

If the manual override code is entered properly, the unit stops sounding, the L.E.D.

turnsoff,indicatingasuccessful override. The system is now disarmedandyoucan

start and operate your vehicle. The unit will allow three attempts to disarm via the

manual override sequence. If the code is not successfully entered within the three

attempts,disarmingwith the manual override switch will be locked for 10minutes.

Inmanycases,toincreasethesecurityofyoursystem,youmayelecttochangethe

manual override code to a number that is more familiar to you, or simply to have a

differentcode than was pre-assignedfromthe factory. ToChange the pre-assigned

overridecodefollowthestepsoutlinedbelow.

Itisadvisedyoureadbothsectionsundertheheadings “Programming Your Custom

OverrideCode”and,“CustomCodeProgrammingExample”,Tocompletelyunderstand

theprocedurebeforebeginning:

Programming Your Custom Override Code:

Unlike override switches easily found, and defeated, the PRO-9232 allows the

consumer to program a personal override code, offering a higher level of security.

Thesystem comesfrom the factory with a pre-programmed override code of11. To

changethisdefaultoverridecode,dothefollowing:

1. Disarmthe systembyuseofthetransmitter, or by use of theemergencyoverride

sequence. Turn the ignition switch to the on position.

2. Within 10 seconds, press and release the valet/override switch, 3 times.

3. Within10 seconds turn the ignition switch off, on, off, on, off,on.

(Thesirenor horn will beep and the lights will flash onetime.)

4. Within 10 seconds, begin to enter your chosen 10ths digit by pressing and

releasing the pushbutton switch from 1 up to 9 times.

5. Within10secondsof thelastentered10thsdigit,turntheignition switchoffthenon.

6. Within 10 seconds, begin to enter your chosen units digit by pressing and

releasing thepushbutton switch from 1 up to 9 times.

7. Finishbyturningtheignitionswitchtotheoffposition.

If the new code was accepted, the unit will report back the newly entered code, by

flashingtheL.E.D.,firstindicatingthe10thsdigit,pauseandthenthe units digit. The

unit will report the new code three times with a one second pause between each

code, then the system will begin arming. If the L.E.D. flash pattern reports the

previously storedcode, the newcodewasnotentered correctly. Pleaserepeatsteps

1through7aboveconsideringthe following.

NOTE: Acceptabledigits10thsor units are1through9. Theunit will not recognizea

0(Zero),ornodigitenteredinanyplace, units or tenths.

NOTE: If15secondsof inactivity expire, oriftheignitionswitchis turned off formore

then5secondsduringanyoftheabovesteps,theunitwillrevertbacktothe

last successfully stored code.

Custom Code Programming Example:

ToChangethe code fromthefactorypre-assignedcode of11to“52” you woulddothe

following:

1. Disarmthe systembyuseofthetransmitter, or by use of theemergencyoverride

sequence.

2. Turn the ignition switch to the on position.

3. Within 10 seconds, press and release the valet/override switch, 3 times.

4. Within10 seconds turn the ignitionswitch off, on, off, on, off, on.

(Thesirenor horn will beep and the lights will flashonetime.)

5. Within 10 seconds, begin to press and release the push button switch to set the

tenthsdigit.

(As per the example, press and release 5 times to set the tenths digit to 5)

6. Within10secondsofthelastpressofthepush-button,turn the ignition switch off

thenon.

7. Within 10 seconds, begin to press and release the push button switch to set the

unitsdigit.

(As per the example, press and release 2 times to set the units digit to 2).

8. Turn the ignition switch tothe offposition. Immediately observe the L.E.D. flash

pattern.

You will note the L.E.D. flashing five times, pause, and then flash two times, pause.

This pattern will be repeated three times indicating the new code (52) has been

accepted and stored inmemory.

NOTE: Ifafterstep 7, theL.E.D.flashesacode other thanwhatwasjustentered, this

indicatesthatthecodehasnotbeenchanged. Youwillhavetorepeatsteps

1through7abovebeingcertaintonotethe following:

Acceptabledigits10thsor units are 1through9. Theunitwill not recognize a0(Zero),

ornodigitenteredinany place, units or tenths.

NOTE: If15secondsofinactivityexpire, or if the ignition switch isturnedoffformore

then5secondsduringanyof the above steps, the unit will revert back to the

last successfully stored code.

ADDITIONAL REMOTE FUNCTION :

Thissystemallows the control of any one of the followingoptionalaccessories;

RemoteCar Starter

Remote Window Closure

Remote Window Open

Tooperatetheoptionalaccessory;

1. Pressthelock,thenunlock,thenlockbuttonsonyourkeychaintransmitterwithin

3 seconds.

2. Theoptionalaccessorywillimmediatelyactivate.

OPTIONAL AUTO LOCK/UNLOCK FEATURE :

Ifyourexistingfactoryinstalledkeylessentrysystemdidnotincludetheautomaticdoor

lockandunlockfeature,thenthisfeaturecanbeactivatedfromthePRO9232upgrade

module. Whenthis accessory has been added, any time theignition key is turned to

the on position

and

all vehicle doors are closed, the doors will lock in 4 seconds.

Additionally,anytimetheignitionkeyisturnedtotheoffposition,thedoorswillunlock.

ELIMINATING THE ARM / DISARM CHIRPS :

Thenormalarminganddisarmingconfirmationchirpscaneasilybeturnedoffusingthe

valetpushbuttonswitch. To dothis;

1.Turntheignitionkeyon,andthenoff.

2. Within10secondsofturningtheignitionkeyoff,pressandreleasethe valet switch

3 times.

3. a. If,beforeproceedingwithstep1,thechirpswereon,thenyouwillhear2chirps

toindicatethatthechirps havebeenturned off.

b. If,beforeproceedingwithstep1,thechirpswere off, then you will hear 1 chirp

toindicatethatthechirps havebeenturned on.

4. Wheneverpowertothesystemhasbeendisconnected(forrepairorservicetothe

vehicle),thechirpswillbeactivatedwhenthepowerisre-connected.Toturnthe

chirpsoff,simply execute steps 1 through 3 above.

NOTE : Whenever the Arm/Disarm chirps are by-passed, the 3 chirp defective

zoneandthe4chirpintrusionindicatorwillalwaysoperate.Thisfeature

willalwayswarnyouifadoorwasleftajarwhenarming,orthevehiclewas

tampered with in your absence.
