General description and technical specifications
ALOS is a design photobioreactor, conceived
for the home cultivation of microalgae. The
light of the ALOS lamp has the dual purpose of
illuminating the environment and feeding algal
photosynthesis. In this way, it makes your room
aesthetically pleasing and more livable, acting as
an air filter and reducing domestic pollution. The
microalgae inside the tank constantly consume
carbon dioxide, producing clean oxygen.

IMPORTANT. THIS MANUAL CONTAINS IMPORTANT INFORMATION AND WARNINGS. BEFORE
USING THIS DEVICE, CAREFULLY READ ALL THE INSTRUCTIONS ON THIS MANUAL AND ON THE
DEVICE. KEEP THIS MANUAL IN A SAFE PLACE AND CONSULT IT IF NEEDED. THE WARRANTY DOES
NOT WORK AND IS NOT EFFECTIVE IF ALL RECOMMENDATIONS SHOWN IN THIS MANUAL ARE
NOT FOLLOWED AND OBSERVED.
ATTENTION. These instructions apply to the product and where applicable also to the
instruments, accessories, individual components and additional components of the product.
• The manufacturer is not responsible for any damage resulting from improper use of the device.
• Remove all packaging and protective materials before operating the device or connecting it to the
power supply.
• Use only original components supplied by the manufacturer.
• Keep the external surface of the device clean and dry and avoid operating the device in environments
with high humidity or close to direct heat sources.
• Pour water and other liquids only into the designated tank and always following the instructions given
in this manual.
• Before starting the device, make sure it is connected to an appropriate voltage line and that it is
placed on a flat, solid, stable and not inclined surface.
Proper use
• This manual contains important information that must always be respected for the correct installation
and use of the device.
• The manufacturer is not responsible for any damage resulting from improper assembly and/or
improper use of the device.
• This lamp is designed for indoor lighting in dry rooms. It is not suitable for use in damp rooms, such
as bathrooms.
• The lamp is not suitable for outdoor use or outdoor positioning.
• The lamp must not be used for direct irradiation of people, animals, or plants.
• Do not look directly at the LED light while it is operating.
• This product is designed for private and domestic use and is not suitable for commercial use.
• The device is designed for an average operation of 8 hours a day. Do not operate the device
continuously for more than 8 hours.
• Continuous operating periods beyond 8 hours can wear out electronic components. For longer daily
operations, turn off the device for at least 1 hour every 8 hours of operation. Do not use the device for

Risk for children, people and animals
• Keep the device out of the reach of children and do not leave children unsupervised in the proximity
of the device.
• Keep packaging out of the reach of children - risk of suffocation.
• Make sure the device is assembled correctly before each use.
• Do not touch the device while it is operating as it may be overheated - risk of burns.
• Do not look directly into the light to avoid eye damage.
• The device is not suitable for the direct irradiation of people.
• Allow the device to cool down before replacing any component and/or before putting it away.
• Be careful when inserting and replacing components - risk of damage and risk of injury.
• Keep the device out of the reach of animals. The lamp should not be used for the direct irradiation of
animals.
• Do not use the device for direct irradiation of food or other flammable materials.
• Keep the device away from heat sources or open flames
Positioning
• Place the device at least 20 cm away from flammable materials.
• Always place the device on a flat, solid, stable and not inclined surface.
• Do not subject the device to extreme temperatures, sudden changes in temperature, direct sunlight
or humidity.
• Prevent falls and strong impacts.
• Keep the device away from heat sources, such as fireplaces and ovens.
• Make sure that the device cannot fall into water and that the base is always dry and clean.
• Do not compress the power cord with furniture or other weights and make sure it is always straight. Do
not place the cord under rugs or other flammable fabrics.

• The device can be operated at any time of the day. To ensure optimal oxygen production, operate
during daylight hours.
• The algal culture provided is not intended for human or animal consumption. Do not ingest, drink, or
dispense to others.
• Use only the algae supplied by the manufacturer.
• Do not obstruct the outlets and/or the channels for the air flow.
• When carrying out the procedures described in the „Ordinary Maintenance“ and „Device
Cleaning“ chapters, always handle the operating core by holding it firmly with two hands by
the glass tank, and never by the aluminum base.

Damage to devices and materials
• Do not cover the device for any reason, for example with sheets or blankets.
• Use only original components corresponding to those indicated in this manual.
• For the replacement of components, exclusively contact the Customer Service or authorized
distributors.
Risk of electric shock
• Keep the device away from sources of moisture.
• Connect the device only to power outlets corresponding to those indicated. Do not overload the
device.
• Connect the device only with the connectors supplied by the manufacturer and / or authorized
resellers / distributors.
• Keep the device away from wet surfaces.
• Do not touch the device or connectors with wet hands.
• Make sure the device is not damaged before each use. Do not use the device if it is damaged, even
if only slightly.
• Do not disassemble the device and contact authorized repairers or distributors only.
• Disconnect the device from the power socket before any maintenance, cleaning, and repair operations.
• Unplug the device from the power outlet during long periods of non-use.
• Unplug the device from the power outlet during storms, thunderstorms, or bad weather.
• In order to disconnect the device from the power outlet, disconnect the plug. Do not pull or yank the
cable.
• Do not use the device if the structure and/or the electrical connectors are damaged, even if only
slightly.
• Immediately proceed with the repair of damaged or worn electrical connectors, only contacting
authorized repairers or distributors.
• Contact only authorized repairers or distributors for the repair and/or replacement of damaged cables
and any other component of the product.
• Any interruption of the protective conductors inside or outside the device can make it dangerous.
Interruption and/or tampering are forbidden and determine the ineffectiveness of the guarantee.
• The capacitors inside the device could remain electrified and could pose an electric shock hazard even
when the device is disconnected from any voltage source.
• The use of unauthorized components and intentional short-circuits are forbidden and result in the
ineffectiveness of the guarantee.

Setup
1. Place the product on a flat surface and remove all packaging
2. Remove the wooden cap located on the top of the wooden frame
3. Remove the operating core and remove the acrylic splash guard placed on the top of the glass tank
4. Bring 1.5 liters of tap water to the boil. Allow to cool down to room temperature.
Alternatively, use bottled, refined, microfiltered or softened water. Do not use osmotized, demineralized,
deionized or distilled water
5. Pour the whole content of the algal starter into the glass tank. The microalgae provided are harmless to
people. In case of accidental contact with microalgae, wash the area with soap and water.
6. Pour the water at room temperature into the glass tank up to 5cm from the upper edge.
In case of accidental spillage of water, immediately dry wet surfaces. Make sure the base is completely
dry before connecting the device.
7. Reposition the acrylic splash guard on the top of the glass tank and relocate the operating core inside
the frame, making sure that the orientation is correct, paying attention to match the jack socket coincides
with the hole in the wooden chassis
8. Reposition the wooden cap on the frame, making sure that the orientation is correct
9. Connect the power plug to the power socket and the jack to the base of the device.
The device is ready for setup.
Please note: handle the operating unit holding it firmly
with two hands and exclusively by the glass tank, and
never by the aluminum base, as reported in the „Proper
use“ section

Smartphone application
With the app is it possible to:
- Adjust the intensity of light and aeration
- Schedule the activity of the devices
- Manage multiple devices in a coordinated manner
To install the application:
1. Download the ALOS Lamp application available on iOS and Android, or scan the QR-code below
2. Make sure your phone is connected to the Wi-Fi router and that bluetooth is turned on
3. Make sure that the device is switched on
4. Follow the instructions on the application to configure the device
The application works only in the presence of a WiFi network.
