Thank you for purchasing our alfda® ALR100 desktop air purifier.

Please read these operating instructions carefully before starting up your air purifier for the first time. This manual contains important information

and notes for the optimal function and handling of the unit. Please keep these instructions in a safe place after reading them if you have any

questions at a later moment.

BREATHING HEALTHY AIR...

We breathe 10,000 liters of air a day without worrying about air quality. Our indoor air is often polluted by pollen, harmful gases, odours, dust

particles, animal hair or bacteria and viruses. But also the increasing fine dust pollution in cities caused by cars, trucks and industrial plants must

not be ignored. In addition, the air indoors is up to 8 times more polluted than outside, so that the use of a HEPA air purifier, especially for allergy

sufferers or asthmatics, is an important support and improvement of well-being.

ATTENTION:

- The device is not intended for use by children or persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental abilities. Lack of experience and

knowledge may pose a potential danger during use. Therefore, such persons should use the air purifier only under the explicit instruction

and supervision of another person responsible for safety. This person should also ensure that children do not play with the unit. Cleaning

and maintenance work must never be carried out by children without supervision.

- If the power cable is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, customer service or a similarly qualified person to avoid danger.

FORBIDDEN PLEASE NOTE

Note: If the power cord is damaged or technical problems occur, please make sure the air purifier is turned off, unplug the power cord, and contact

your dealer or alfda Service Hotline. Continued operation despite technical problems may result in equipment failure, electric shock, fire, or the like..

Warning notice

Please avoid children using or touching the air purifier without supervision.

Never insert or remove the mains plug with wet hands. This may cause electric shock.

Do not make any technical changes, modifications or repairs to the air purifier. Failure to do so may result in damage or fire. In case of

problems, please contact the seller of your unit or the alfda service hotline.

If possible, do not use extension cords or additional plug connections. The air purifier may only be operated with the specified voltage.

Otherwise there is a risk of fire!

Insert the mains plug completely into the socket. Doing so may result in heat, fire, or electric shock. Do not use damaged plugs or

defective sockets.

Avoid water on the surface of the device. This may result in a short circuit or electric shock.

Disconnect the air purifier from the power supply before cleaning or maintenance work. Doing so may cause the unit to start suddenly,

resulting in electric shock or personal injury.

Do not insert metallic or other objects into the device. This may result in injury or electric shock.

Do not attempt to repair yourself if the cable or power plug is damaged. This may result in a short circuit, electric shock, or fire. Please

return the air purifier to your dealer for repair or contact the alfda service hotline..

Dust on the plug can weaken the insulation and cause fire. Unplug the plug from the outlet and clean

and then he'd take it with a dry cloth. Please disconnect the air purifier from the power supply if you will not be using it for a long time.

Precautions

Do not switch on the air purifier when using insecticides (e.g. insecticides) in the room.

Do not use the appliance in rooms with flame soot, such as in the kitchen. This may result in damage to the appliance and health

problems.

Do not blow flammable substances or smoke from lit cigarettes into the device. This may cause fire.

Do not use the air purifier in wet areas or in rooms with high humidity or high temperatures, such as bathrooms. Failure to do so may

result in electric shock or fire.

Keep the air purifier away from alcohol, organic impregnants or insecticides.

This may result in mechanical damage, short circuits, electric shock, injury or fire.

Please ensure adequate ventilation when working with fire or heat sources in the room.

Please handle the plug directly when pulling the mains plug and do not pull on the cable. Doing so may result in a short circuit, electric

shock, or fire.

If the following situations happen, please disconnect the device from the power supply immediately:

- The touch panel switches do not work.

- The power cord or plug is hot

- The device causes strange odours, extraordinary noises or vibrations

- Unusual functions or failures of the device occur

Filter Cleaning Technology

A four-stage filter system consisting of a prefilter, HEPA particle filter (H12), absorbing activated carbon and a cold catalysis filter ensures highly

efficient cleaning of the room air. With an efficiency of over 99.5% at a particle size of 0.3 µm, the air purifier not only filters fine dust, pollen, mould

spores and flying house dust, but also removes unpleasant odours and gaseous pollutants such as volatile organic compounds, formaldehyde and

xylene from solvents.

An ionizer that can be switched on generates negatively charged ions and thus ensures a "refreshing of the room air" (capacity 5,000,000 / cm³).

Installation instructions

- When installing the air purifier, maintain a minimum distance of 30 cm from the air inlet and outlet on all sides to walls and furniture.

- Do not use the air purifier in front of hot sources such as heaters, stoves or similar appliances.

Connection to power supply

The air purifier is connected to the mains by means of an external power supply unit which is included in the scope of delivery (DC direct current

power supply unit).

Please operate the air purifier exclusively with the DC power supply included in the scope of delivery and do not use any other external power

supplies. First insert the plug of the power supply unit into the socket for the mains cable on the air purifier before plugging the power plug into the

socket. Please make sure that all connectors are connected correctly.
