We strongly recommend that you read this entire manual before using your AGONA e-bike
Thank you for choosing AGONA. It is our goal to provide you with the highest
quality electric propulsion systems available, and offer you the best possible
after sales experience.
This document serves as a supplement to your bicycle user manual. Please
read this manual thoroughly, even if you are an experienced cyclist. Should
you be unable to find an answer in the manual, please contact your dealer for
immediate assistance.
We have always believed that a bike should remain a bike. It is our love of
cycling that drives us, and a passion that we continue to share with our
customers. We hope you enjoy your new electrically assisted bicycle for many
years to come.

User Precautions
We want you to have a fun ride, but also a safe one. Carefully read the
following information,even if you are an experienced rider. Take the
opportunity to familiarize yourself with your AGONA electric propulsion
system before you take your first trip.
1. AGONA recommends that you have your system installed professionally by an
authorized dealer.
2. Read all of the enclosed installation and operating instructions from the
manufacturer and follow the instructions, if any, prior to its first use.
3. Familiarize yourself with your electric bicycle and the functions of the AGONA
system in a safe environment before participating in road traffic for the first time.
4. A lways wear a helmet when riding an electric bicycle for your own safety. In
some jurisdictions, this is the law.
5. Make sure that the tires have the pressure recommended by the manufacturer
before riding the bike.
6. Make sure that the brakes are operating properly before riding the bike.
7. Do not use a mobile phone or any other electronic devices while riding an electric
bicycle; it is imperative that you pay attention to traffic.
8. If possible, ride in bike lanes and always in the correct direction of traffic.
9. A dhere to all valid traffic regulations.
10. Keep in mind that other traffic participants may underestimate the speed of an
electric bicycle.
11. R ide with both hands on the handlebars when riding your electric bicycle.
12. R ide as defensively as possible.

2. Your E-Bike
2.1) Introduction
We would like to thank you for your e-bike purchasing. The e-bike, equipped with
pedals and an auxiliary electric motor, cannot be propelled exclusively by means of
this auxiliary electric motor. You will thoroughly enjoy riding this new and electrical
power- assisted bike.
Riding an e-bike means that you’re helping preserve the environment, since any
CO2
or other polluting gases will not be released. For your safety and for the safety of
others, we recommend that you obey all road regulations and wear a protective
helmet. For optimal, safe and enjoyable use of the e-bike, make sure you thoroughly
read this user guide before you first use it.
Use the e-bike according to the user guide, or it may shorten the life cycle.

3.Caring for your AGONA e-bike and pre-use
checks
3.1) Before each use
3.1.1 Check the tyres for any visible damage.
3.1.2 Check the tyre pressures.
3.1.3 Check for any loose nuts, bolts or fixings.
3.1.4 Check the brake functions.
3.1.5 Check the electronic functions.
3.1.6 Check the reflectors are in place and the lights are working.
3.1.7 Check the battery for any visible signs of damage.
3.2) Before you set off for the first time
3.2.1 Check the handlebars and handlebar stem are properly tightened.
3.2.2 Check all other nuts, bolts and fixings are properly tightened.
3.2.3 Check brakes are functioning properly.
3.2.4 Check tire pressures are correct and tires are not damaged.
3.2.5 Check reflectors and lights if fitted, are functioning properly.
3.2.6 Make sure the battery is fully charged.
3.2.7 Load the battery into bicycle and turn on with the switch located at the rear right
hand side of the battery. To remove the battery turn the battery key hold in unlocked position
and slide the battery out. Remove key from battery and keep save during operation of the
bike.
3.2.8 Turn on the bike by pressing the on/off switch adjacent to the left hand grip for two
seconds. (Turn off the bike by repeating the same process).
The bike will be ready to ride and the LCD will activate showing battery state, assist level,
time, trip and speed. Turning the pedals for more than ¼ of a revolution or twisting the
throttle will now activate the motor.
3.2.9 To avoid unplanned acceleration, always make sure that the LCD assist level is set
to 0 when mounting, dismounting and turn the bike off when leaving it unattended.
To set the assist levels, toggle with the + and –buttons
4. Using the bike
4.1) Riding the bike

The 4LEDs located on the
battery which indicate the charge level.
Turn on the display unit which is on the
handlebars. Select your needed
assistance level and start to pedal.
You’ll find that the engine starts as
soon as you start pedaling.
When you use the brakes, the contactor located within these brakes will halt
the engine’s assistance immediately. The left brake lever controls the rear brake.
The right brake lever controls the front brake.
You can also use the bike without electric assistance by turning off the battery
(switch off the button or by adjusting the assistance level on 0). The engine
will then feature zero resistance: you’ll be freewheeling. Select the appropriate
gear by activating the 6-speed gear lever.
4.2) Quick-release devices
Tighten the adjusting nut by hand and move the quick release lever to the
closed position. You should feel considerable resistance while moving the
lever. If not, re-open and re-tighten the lever, then move it to the closed
position so it is in line with the frame.
4.3) Adjusting the height of the seat
Unlock the lever (open), adjust the seat height to the desired position without
ever exceeding the mark carved onto the seat’s tube, lock the lever (LOCK).
The seat’s height must be set so that your leg is stretched out when the
corresponding pedal is in the lower position.
4.4) Precautions required prior to each use
Verify that the brakes and the front & rear lights are all working properly. Also,
check the pressure of the tires.
On derailleur geared bicycles the rear derailleur automatically tensions the
chain.
Make sure that the hinges on your bike are properly locked. Indeed, when
using the bike on a regular basis, the tension of the hinges’ adjustment and
locking systems can change slightly. Whenever necessary, adjust the tension
once again
This bike is not designed for rough usage condition, such as jumps, riding up
or off of pavements, and riding on unpaved roads. For your own safety, do not
modify the bike.
If you have any doubts, contact your dealer, who will proceed with the necessary
inspection.
