Introduction
The iCelsius is a general
purpose temperature
sensor that connects to
your iPad / iPhone / iPod
touch.
Temperature is
displayed in real-time on
your iPad / iPhone / iPod
touch.
You can setup alarms if the temperature crosses limits you
define.
iCelsius is supported by the following iOS devices:
- iPhone 4S, iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS, iPhone 3G
- iPod touch (4th generation, 3rd generation)
- iPad 2, iPad
IMPORTANT
iOS version 4.2 or higher is required for the product to
operate!

Getting started
Installation is straightforward:
1. Plug the iCelsius to your iPad / iPhone / iPod touch
You will see a message like this one:
2. Tap “Yes” to download the application from the App
Store (free application)
The application will download from the App Store.
3. Go to the Home page, locate and click on the
iCelsius icon
Application will launch (application launches
automatically when you connect the iCelsius probe).
4. Start measuring temperature
Please read Important Safety Information first.

Using the iCelsius
When you plug the iCelsius probe1, the iCelsius application
will automatically launch after a short period (2-3 seconds).
Live Temperature
Displays the most recent
reading from the iCelsius
probe (both as a digital and
analog display).
You can set the view in Celsius
(°C) or Fahrenheit (°F) using
the toggle switch.
The red cursor shows the
alarm upper limit (a blue
cursor shows the alarm lower
limit).

Graphs
Shows the last minute of data
from the sensor.
The red line shows the alarm
upper limit (if set). A blue line
would show the alarm lower
limit.
Save graphs in Picture Library
or send them by email.
Alarm Setup
Allows you to set upper and
lower limits for the alarm to
trigger.
On the iPhone, you can setup
alarms to call other phones.

Important Safety Information
WARNING: Failure to follow these safety instructions could
result in injury or damage.
Operating Do not use the iCelsius or iPad / iPhone / iPod
touch in or near water or wet locations. Only the metallic
probe tip can be immersed.
Choking hazard The receiver and sensor are potential
choking hazards. Keep them away from children under
three years of age.
Disassembling the sensor Do not attempt to open the
sensor or disassemble it. No user-serviceable parts are
inside.
General Use Precautions
Do not expose the iCelsius to temperatures outside the
specified temperature and humidity ranges. Doing so may
damage the iCelsius or disfigure its casing. Avoid placing
your iCelsius sensor near a source of heat or exposing it to
sunlight (even through a window). Inversely, placing your
iCelsius in an environment that is too cold or humid may
damage the unit.

Troubleshooting
The iCelsius application does not detect the accessory
First, make sure that you are running the latest version of the
iPad / iPhone / iPod touch and that the iCelsius application is up
to date (you can check for updates using the app store
application).
Perform the following steps:
-Unplug the iCelsius probe
-Quit the iCelsius application
-Restart the iCelsius application, then plug the probe
If that does not solve the problem, try to quit all your
applications and shutdown the iPad / iPhone / iPod touch, then
try again. If problem persists, contact support (see below).
The iCelsius application always display a wrong temperature
near the lower limit
Try the steps above. If that does not solve the problem, contact
support (see below).
The iCelsius application does not go into background
This is a voluntary limitation of the iPad / iPhone / iPod touch to
preserve battery life.
