INDICACIONES DE SEGURIDAD GENERALES
USO SEGÚN LAS NORMAS
Es fundamental usar gafas de protección y una mascarilla
antipolvo al realizar trabajos que producen polvo.
• Mantenga a niños y otras personas alejados de su lugar de trabajo.
• Utilice un sargento o herramientas de tensado similares para la sujeción de la pieza de trabajo.
Así tendrá una sujeción más rme que si lo hace con la mano.
• Conecte un dispositivo de intercepción o de aspiración de polvo.
• Mantenga limpios los oricios de escape de la placa de lijado.
• Antes de comenzar a trabajar quite clavos, tornillos o cualquier otro objeto metálico que pudiera
tener la pieza de trabajo para evitar daños en el papel de lija o en la placa de lijado.
• Los enchufes de zonas exteriores deben estar equipados con interruptores diferenciales.
• Conecte la lijadora orbital únicamente a corriente alterna monofásica y con la tensión de red
indicada en la placa de características. Debido a que tiene un aislamiento doble, también se
puede realizar la conexión a enchufes sin contacto de seguridad.
• Asegúrese de que la lijadora orbital esté apagada antes de conectarla a la red eléctrica.
• Soltar la lijadora orbital únicamente cuando la lija se haya detenido por completo.
• Desconectar sin falta el enchufe para cambiar el papel de lija o para realizar otros trabajos de
mantenimiento.
• Mantener siempre el cable de conexión alejado del área de trabajo de la máquina. Apartar
siempre el cable de la máquina hacia atrás.
• Conservar el aparato de manera que no sea accesible para niños y nunca deje que personas
que no saben manejarlo lo utilicen.
• El polvo que se genera al lijar puede ser perjudicial para la salud, inamable o explosivo (p.
ej. barnizados con contenido en plomo, algunos tipos de madera o de metal). En estos tipos de
lijado hay que tomar las medidas de protección adecuadas.
La lijadora orbital se usa para lijar supercies de madera, plástico o metal y usando los materiales
de lijado correspondientes.
ATENCIÓN: la lijadora orbital no es apta para trabajos de lijado con agua.

INFORMACIÓN SOBRE RUIDOS Y VIBRACIONES
Determinación de los valores de medición según EN 60745
• El valor de emisión de vibraciones especicado se ha calculado según un procedimiento de
control normativo y puede utilizarse como base para la comparación con otras herramientas
electrónicas.
• El valor de emisión de vibraciones especicado también puede utilizarse para una estimación
preliminar de suspensión.
• El valor de emisión de vibraciones puede diferenciarse del valor indicativo durante la utilización
real de la herramienta eléctrica, dependiendo del tipo y forma en la que ésta se utilice;
Intente mantener la carga de vibraciones lo más baja posible. Las medidas ejemplares para
reducir la carga de vibración son llevar guantes al utilizar la herramienta y limitar el tiempo
de trabajo. Se deberán tener en cuenta todas las partes del ciclo de servicio (por ejemplo, los
tiempos en los que la herramienta eléctrica está apagada y aquellos en los que aun estando
conectada trabaja sin carga).

FUNCIONAMIENTO
• Utilizar piezas de recambio y accesorios originales únicamente.
• Si un día su aparato eléctrico ha llegado a tal nivel de desgaste que es necesario su reemplazo
o no lo puede seguir utilizando, entonces está obligado a desechar el aparato en un puesto
central de reciclado.
• La información sobre los lugares de recogida de su aparato eléctrico la puede obtener en la
empresa municipal de eliminación de residuos o en los servicios administrativos municipales.
• Los aparatos eléctricos contienen valiosas materias primas reciclables. Al entregar su aparato
viejo en un punto de recogida está contribuyendo a que valiosas materias primas sean recicladas.
• Los aparatos eléctricos también tienen materiales que, de ser desechados de manera
incorrecta, pueden contribuir a causar daños a las personas y al medio ambiente.
Colocar y cambiar el papel de lija
• Desenchufar siempre la máquina antes de cambiar el papel de lija.
• Extraiga el papel de lija gastado.
• Coloque papel de lija nuevo en la placa de lijado y ponga atención en hacer coincidir
los oricios de escape del papel de lija con los de la placa de lijado.
Encendido / apagado
Encendido: Apriete el interruptor (I = ENCENDIDO)
Apagado: Apriete el interruptor (O = APAGADO)
• En primer lugar, conecte la máquina, y después colóquela sobre la pieza de trabajo.
• No ejerza una presión excesiva a n de evitar un desgaste mayor de la herramienta
utilizada y del motor.
• Desplace la lijadora orbital sobre la pieza de trabajo con una presión leve y uniforme
realizando movimientos circulares o alternando movimientos longitudinales y transversales.
• No ladee la lijadora orbital para evitar un lijado excesivo de la supercie.
• No desconecte la máquina mientras se encuentre sobre la pieza. En primer lugar levante
la máquina y después desconéctela.
• Nunca utilice la lijadora orbital sin papel de lija.
• No tape las aperturas de ventilación con la mano, a n de garantizar una refrigeración
suciente del motor.
Conexión para el aspirador
La lijadora orbital es suministrada con un adaptador para una conexión del aspirador.
Introduzca el adaptador en la apertura provista para ello (5) en la carcasa del aparato hasta el
tope y conecte un dispositivo de aspiración.
No tire los productos eléctricos a la basura doméstica. De acuerdo con
la norma europea 2012/19/UE para la eliminación de equipos eléctricos
(RAEE), debe llevarse a la planta local de recogida de residuos para su
reciclaje.

SAFETY PRECAUTIONS SPECIFIC TO ROTARY SANDERS
GENERAL SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
INTENDED USE
Wear protective goggles and a dust mask for all dust-generating
work.
• Keep children and other persons away from your working area.
• Use screw clamps or similar clamping tools for holding the work pieces in place. This provides
a much more secure grip than is possible with your hands.
• Install an exhaust unit or a dust catching device.
• Keep the vent holes in the sanding disc clean.
• Before beginning work make sure there are no nails, screws, or similar metal objects in the
work piece, as they can tear the sanding paper and damage the sanding pad.
• The Rotary Sanders should only be connected to single-phase alternating current, and only
of the voltage indicated on the type plate. Since there is a double layer of insulation, it is also
possible to connect to outlets without protective contact.
• Make sure the Rotary Sander is switched off before connecting it to the mains.
• Do not put the Rotary Sander down until the sanding plate has come to a complete stop.
• Be sure to disconnect the plug from the mains when inserting or changing the sanding paper,
or while performing any other maintenance work.
• Always keep the power cable away from the operating range of the machine. Make sure the
cable always leads away from the machine.
• Store the appliance out of reach of children, and do not let anyone use it without instruction.
• The dust created from sanding can be noxious, ammable or explosive (e.g. lead-containing
paint, some types of wood and metal.) Take suitable protective measures for such sanding jobs.
The Rotary Sander is used for sanding surfaces on wood, plastic, or metal, with the appropriate
sanding material for each application.
WARNING: The Rotary Sander is not suitable for sanding wet surfaces!

NOISE AND VIBRATION INFORMATION
Measured values determined according to EN 60745
• The vibration emission level given in this information sheet has been measured in accordance
with a standardized test given in EN 60745 and may be used to compare one tool with another.
• The given vibration emission level may be used for the initial estimation of the real exposure.
• The vibration emission level will vary because of the ways in which a power tool can be used
and may increase above the level given in this information sheet.
• Try to keep the exposure as low as possible. To reduce the vibration emission level the user
should wear working-gloves and use the machine for limited time.
• All parts of working cycles have to be considered (including the time the power tool is switched
off, and the time, when the power tool is running under no-load condition).

OPERATION
MAINTENANCE AND CARE
SPARE PARTS, DISUSED POWER TOOLS AND ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION
• Always unplug your nishing sander from the mains before carrying out any cleaning or
servicing work on it!
• The Rotary Sander is maintenance-free.
• Clean the housing occasionally with a dry cloth.
• Do not use cleaning agents, as they can corrode the casing.
• Only use original replacement parts and accessories.
• If your electrical appliance is used so intensely that it must be replaced, or you have no more
use for it, you are obligated to dispose of the appliance at a recycling center.
• Contact your municipal waste collection service or your local authorities to nd out where you
can recycle your power tool.
• Power tools contain valuable raw materials that can be recycled. You will contribute to
recycling valuable raw materials by handing your tool in at a municipal waste collection site.
• Power tools also contain substances that may be harmful to the environment and humans if
disposed of improperly.
Attaching and changing the sanding paper
• Always unplug from the mains before changing the sanding paper!
• Remove the used sanding paper.
• Place a new sanding sheet on the sanding disc and make sure that the vent holes in
the sanding paper coincide with those in the sanding disc.
Switching your nishing sander on and off
Switch on: press the switch (I = ON)
Switch off: press the switch (O = OFF)
• Turn the machine on rst, and then put it on the work piece.
• Do not use excess pressure, or you risk increased wear on the attachment and the motor.
• Move the Rotary Sander over the work piece with low and steady pressure, in circles
or alternating between the longitudinal and the crosswise directions.
• To prevent sanding through the surface, do not tilt the Rotary Sander.
• Do not turn the machine off while is it on the work piece. Lift the machine from the work
piece rst, and then turn it off.
• Never use the Rotary Sander without sanding paper.
• To ensure sufcient cooling of the motor, do not cover the ventilation slot with your hand.
Vacuum connection
The Rotary Sander is provided with an adaptor for a vacuum attachment.
Place the adapter in the intended opening (5) of the machine housing up to the catch and connect
a vacuum.
Do not dispose electric products in the household waste. According to the
European standard 2012/19/EU for the disposing of electrical equipment
(WEEE), it should be taken to your local waste collection station and offered
for recycling.
