Operating instructions (EN)
Please read these operating instructions carefully to make sure that you are able to play with your rocker board for as long as
possible and in the safest possible way. Please make sure that your rocker board does not have any external defects before
you use it for the first time. Please notify us of any defect within 14 days of purchase.
General use
Our rocker boards are toys which invite children to play in a very active way and which also provide numerous opportunities
for children to move about. For this reason, children should always be supervised by adults when they are playing on a
rocker board and this particularly applies to very young children.
Children must always be supervised by an adult when they are playing on a rocker board.
When a rocker board is used for the first time, it is necessary to give the child clear instructions about what may or may not
be done on the rocker board.
As rocker boards have a smooth internal surface, we advise that they be used while a child is barefoot or is wearing footwear
with a sturdy sole.
Always place rocker boards on a flat surface.
From the first time of use, teach children to place their hands on the rocker board while they are playing on it in a sitting or
lying position.
It is always important to make sure that there is sufficient space around the rocker board, particularly if other children are
present.
All our boards have been extensively tested. We recommend that children from the age of 3 balance on the boards while they
are standing on them with the convex surface facing downwards. As the motor development of a child of 3 years of age is
already more advanced than that of a younger child, this age is suited to the primary function of our rocker boards, which is
to balance on them while standing.
In the case of one of our models ('We Rock! Moon'), it is also possible to balance with the convex surface facing upwards.
We would recommend this activity for children of 6 years of age.
We recommend the model called "My Mini Rocker" from the age of 12 months.
Our rocker boards invite children to engage in many other forms of play and use. Despite the recommended age for the use
of rocker boards while children are in a standing position, the toys are also suitable for younger children. Adult supervision
is strictly necessary.
Below is a list of possible uses:
Children can lie on the rocker board on their stomachs and rock back and forth with the convex surface facing
downwards
Children can lie on the rocker board on their stomachs with the concave surface facing downwards
Children can rock back and forth on the rocker board from side to side or from front to back
Children can rock back and forth on the rocker board while on their knees
Children can rock back and forth on the rocker board while in a crouching position
Children can rock back and forth on the rocker board while in a standing position
Children can step across the rocker board
Children can step on to the rocker board and walk its length, following the curvature of the board
Children can jump over the rocker board with the concave or convex surface facing upwards
Children can slide under the rocker board on their stomachs
Two children at a time can rock back and forth on a rocker board
The rocker board can be used in all directions

The rocker board can be placed on its side and be used as a wall, a play corner or a hiding place. Children must
never stand or sit on the rocker board when it is placed on its side.

Age
When the convex surface is facing upwards, the rocker board is suitable for children from the age of 6 to balance on.
While in this position, the rocker board is by its nature unstable and children can make it balance properly when they play on
it.
Cleaning and maintenance
It is best to clean your rocker board with a light damp cloth with or without a mild cleaning agent. As wood is sensitive to
moisture, you must always rub the rocker board dry with a dry cloth.
Rocker boards which have a felt underlay can best be cleaned with the use of a vacuum cleaner on a low setting. Genuine
wool felt is dirt repellent, so dust tends not to adhere to it. If there is a damp patch, it is necessary to pat it dry gently and not
to rub it.
The felt may, over time, experience discolouration from the effects of sun or UV light. Ensure the felt is fully covered when
the board is not in use.
With very intensive use, it is recommended that a layer of oil be applied to the oiled surfaces every year. For this, you can
use our 'oil repair kit', which is available separately.
Protection of your rocker board
Our rocker boards are made to be used in the home. It is possible to play on a rocker board outside when it is not raining, but
this will result in greater wear and tear. Wood is a living material which can change when exposed to environmental factors
(variations in moisture and temperature). As a result, the wood might develop small cracks or a small amount of
discolouration over time.
If the rocker board becomes damp when it is being used outside, you must rub it dry with a dry cloth. Afterwards, let it dry
gradually at room temperature and avoid big variations in temperature (do not place it near to a heat source!).
It is best to use rocker boards which do not have any underlay on a playmat or a carpet. If you do this, you will protect the
floor or other play surface and you will also protect the rocker board from scratches and other forms of damage.
Rocker boards which have an underlay must be used with the underlay facing downwards. If you do this, you will protect the
underlay and your floor.
