Overview
The Weret watch is an analog smartwatch that adapts to your lifestyle by streaming relevant
live data directly to your wrist. Choose a data theme on the smartphone app that includes, for
example, the weather conditions at a specific location or the swell height at your favorite surf
beach. With a press on the middle button (the crown), the watch toggles between time
mode - where the time is shown as on a standard analog watch - and data mode, where it
moves the hands to show you the current data on the dials.
The Weret Watch is connected to a smartphone via Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE). It contains
five bi-directional step motors that can be driven independently (one at a time, or all at once).
In the middle of the movement there are three main motors for the second, minute and hour
hands. At 5H and 7H, there are two additional motors, sub-dials. These motors can be used to
show details for a particular function.
The watch battery lasts 45 days during normal use and is charged using the accompanying
Weret induction charger. The charger is connected to a standard USB power brick.
The complete watch setup is done using the smartphone application (app). The setup
contains initialization and calibration of the watch hands, identification of the watch edition
and variant, and selection of a data theme.
The Smartphone application can be used to update the watch firmware over the air. The so-
called Device Firmware Update (DFU) is executed by sending the new watch software to the
watch over Bluetooth Low Energy that then installs it on the device.

Quick Start Guide

Setting Up Your Weret Watch
Activate your watch
The watch arrives in “shipping mode” and is inactive. It is activated by placing it on top of the
accompanying Weret induction charger, letting it sit a few seconds and then taking it off the
charger. When the watch is removed from the charger it exits shipping mode, and the
second hand will start moving. If the battery level is below 25%, it will charge up to 25% before
exiting shipping mode.
When placing the watch on the charger, the LED will light up green, followed by a solid blue
light that indicates the watch is being charged. When the LED starts blinking with a blue
light, the battery is fully charged.
Download and install the Weret app
To configure the watch and enable it to show other data than the current time, it has to be
“paired” with a smartphone running the Weret smartphone app.
1. Make sure the Weret app is compatible with your mobile device by checking
www.devices.weret.com
2. Find the Weret app in one of these locations, depending on your device:
• The Apple® App Store® for iOS devices such as an iPhone® or iPad®.
• The Google PlayTM Store for Android devices such as the Samsung®
Galaxy® S5 and Motorola Droid Turbo.
3. Install the app.
Turn Bluetooth on and follow the app instructions
When the app is installed, open it and get started. You’ll be guided through the process of
connecting (pairing) your Weret Watch to your mobile device.
Putting on your Weret Watch
The watch straps have built-in quick release pins for a speedy attachment to your watch. If
the knobs on the tiny steel bars are pulled back, the spring in the bars will be loosened,
allowing you to attach the strap to the watch face. Repeat the same procedure if you want to
change straps.

Getting to know your Weret Watch
Watch Controls
The watch is controlled using three pushers: top pusher P1, crown pusher P2 and bottom
pusher P3.
Do not rotate either of the pushers, it provides no functionality and rotating P2 (the crown)
could lead to damage of the watch.
Pressing P1 or P3 sends a command to the smartphone app. This command activates a user
selected function. The function could for example be play/pause of currently playing media,
answer or hang up incoming call, or trigger the camera shutter. The pushers can have
different functionality depending on if the user presses, doublepresses or holds the button
for a longer period.
Pressing P2 toggles the watch between Time and Date modes.

Watch Dial
Outer scale
Left side: air pressure, 930 mBar to 1050 mBar
Right side: temperature, -20°C to 40°C
Left sub-dial
0-12, linear
Right sub-dial
North/West/South/East compass
Accent
Waveform
Note: All watch models are available in an Imperial version with Fahrenheit and inches of
Mercury (inHg) or a Celsius version with mbar.
Time and Weather Modes
After exiting shipping mode the watch can either be in Time mode or Weathermode.
Pressing P2 toggles the watch between these two modes.
Time Mode
Hour, minute and second hand shows the current time. Current time is defined by the time
of the paired smartphone. If the time setting change on the smartphone, the watch will
mirror this.
Left and right sub dial shows the latest fetched data of the currently selected weather theme.

Weather Mode
Hour minute and second hand shows the latest fetched data of the currently selected
weather theme. The hands will use the outer scales and accent form to show numeric values.
What scale and hand combination that the user should look at is communicated through
information in the app and depends on the data theme selected.
Left and right sub dial shows the latest fetched data of the currently selected weather theme.
Weather Themes
The smartphone app retrieves data from various online sources (API) on the Internet. This
data is organized in different Weather Themes. A Weather Theme is defines an online data
source, some user configuration, and how the hands on the watch visualize the data.
The app is built as a platform where themes will be added and changed over time. Below
follows a description of theme to give a general idea of the concept.
Themes to choose between:
●Sailing the Seas
●Surf’s up
●Weather
●Windsurfer
Example of how data is visualised for Windsurfer theme:
Configuration
A map location
Left sub-dial
The left subdial shows your selected location's
current wind speed up to 12 metres per second.
Right sub-dial
The right subdial shows your selected location's
current wind direction on the compass.
