Safety instructions
Read all safety and technical instructions for this machine before installing, connecting and
operating the machine.
The machine is manufactured in compliance with the ISO 9000 regulations. The design
takes into account the requirements of excellent quality and user-friendliness.
The operating instructions contain all relevant information for the machine.
Keep this manual in a safe place for future use.
The wheel balancer must not be installed in an extremely hot or cold environment. Do not
place the machine too close to radiators, gas taps, water taps, humidifiers, air conditioners
or other hazardous equipment.
The wheel balancer must not be permanently exposed to direct sunlight.
Avoid liquids entering the display. Do not place liquid containers on the weight
compartments or in the immediate vicinity of the display.
The machine must not be brought into contact with corrosive liquids and other substances
that are harmful to its surface.
The unit must be installed on a flat, load-bearing surface. It must be ensured that floor
vibrations caused by other devices or other influences are excluded.
Only properly trained and qualified personnel should use this machine. Modifications and
alterations to the machine that have not been authorised by the manufacturer can result in
considerable damage to property as well as personal injury. The manufacturer/supplier
accepts no liability for this.
Attention:
This machine must only be used for the purpose for which it was designed by the
manufacturer. Any other use is not permitted.
Weber GmbH is not liable for damages caused by improper use and abuse.
Unauthorised interventions or modifications to the machine are not permitted.

The use of all types of commercially available balancing weights is permitted.
Unpacking
Unpack the device using the correct tools. Pay particular attention to sensitive parts of
the machine, such as the keyboard, display, cover and clamping shaft.
Lifting the machine at the clamping shaft can cause damage to the sensors. The
supplier/manufacturer accepts no liability whatsoever for any resulting defects.
Setup
When setting up the machine, make sure that the applicable safety regulations are
observed.
A clearance of 50 cm must be maintained between the machine and the adjacent
walls/surfaces.
Usage & maintenance

The space required must be adapted to local conditions after fitting the wheel guard and
tightening the clamping shaft.
Avoid moving the machine by the wheel guard. This may result in damage to the guard’s
bearing or to the switch mechanism.
This machine must not be used in potentially explosive atmospheres.
Use anchoring bolts that fit into the machine's provided holes to ensure good anchoring
to the floor.
If the unevenness of the floor exceeds 0,25 %, sufficiently large shims may be used as
levelling material.
For a good operation it is absolutely necessary to anchor the wheel balancer to
the floor.
Electrical connection
The wheel balancer is designed to be connected to a standard 230 V/50 Hz socket.
The machine is equipped with a CE-approved plug as standard. The circuit for the
required socket must be separately fused.
Further electrical connection and reconnection work may only be carried out by a
qualified electrician in accordance with the regulations of VDE and/or the responsible
energy company. All applicable CE or DIN regulations must be observed.

Mounting the wheel guard
1.
Pull the switch cable through the connection flange for the wheel guard and connect it
to the switch (Fig. 1). Then screw the connecting flange to the machine using the 3
screws provided.
2.
Screw the wheel guard together in the middle (Fig. 2) and click it on the corresponding
frame. Screw the wheel cover to the frame using the 2 screws provided.
3.
Place the wheel cover with frame on the connecting flange and fasten with the supplied
screw.

1. Slide the clamping shaft into the appropriate opening and screw it to the machine with
the provided long Allen key (Fig. 3).
