Il casco OPEN FACE TRAIL HELMET modello VREQH2 (MIPS)
è stato testato secondo la norma EN 1078:2012+A1:2012 Caschi
per ciclisti e perutilizzatori di tavole a rotelle (skateboards) e pattini a
rotelle presso il laboratorio Intertek Testing Services Shenzhen Ltd.
Il casco OPEN FACE TRAIL HELMET modello VREQH2 (MIPS) è
certicato come Dispositivo di Protezione Individuale di II categoria
ai sensi del Regolamento 2016/425 da parte dell’ente di certica-
zione:

(MIPS). È necessario LEGGERE ATTENTAMENTE le presenti
istruzioni d’uso per indossare, utilizzare e manutenere correttamente
il casco OPEN FACE TRAIL HELMET modello VREQH2 (MIPS).
Le istruzioni d’uso sono importanti per la sicurezza dell’utilizzatore e
vanno conservate in luogo sicuro.

2. AVVERTENZE
Il casco OPEN FACE TRAIL HELMET modello VREQH2 (MIPS)
non è destinato all’utilizzo per la guida di veicoli a motore (compre-
si ciclomotori, motociclette e scooter).
Non apportare modiche al casco. Non applicare componenti ag-
giuntivi sul casco.
Questo casco non deve essere utilizzato da bambini intenti ad
arrampicarsi o a svolgere altre attività che comportino il rischio di
strangolamento/impiccagione qualora il bambino resti incastrato
mentre lo indossa.
Per fornire una protezione adeguata il casco deve essere indossa-
to correttamente e sottoposto a regolare manutenzione.
Il casco deve essere opportunamente dimensionato sulla testa
dell’utilizzatore.
Scegliere la taglia del casco in funzione delle dimensioni della
circonferenza del cranio come indicato di seguito nel presente
manuale d’uso.
Il casco non protegge da urti e lesioni in tutti i tipi di incidente. An-
che se si indossa un casco, gli incidenti potrebbero causare gravi
lesioni alla testa o morte. Il casco per mountain bike non protegge
da lesioni alla spina dorsale, al collo o al volto.
Qualsiasi elemento posto tra la testa e il casco può ridurre il livello
di protezione. Cappelli, sciarpe, fermacapelli e qualsiasi altro ele-
mento presente sotto il casco può provocare lo spostamento del
casco in caso di impatto, provocando lesioni per l’utilizzatore.
Impiegare il casco solo per il tipo di utilizzo cui è destinato. Il ca-
sco OPEN FACE TRAIL HELMET modello VREQH2 (MIPS) è
destinato ad essere utilizzato durante l’uso di biciclette a pedali,
sketeboard, roller skaters, mountain bike. Non utilizzare il casco
per utilizzi diversi.
In caso di impatto, non utilizzare il casco. Il casco potrebbe pre-
sentare danni non visibili, in grado di ridurre la capacità protettiva
del casco.
Nessun casco o sistema di protezione degli impatti può proteggere l’utilizza-
tore da qualsiasi lesione. Nonostante il sistema MIPS sia stato progettato per
ridurre le sollecitazioni rotazionali alla testa, che possono condurre a lesioni
cerebrali, tutti i caschi presentano limitazioni in termini di capacità protetti-
ve, anche quelli dotati di sistema MIPS. È vietato rimuovere, riposizionare
o manomettere in alcun modo il sistema MIPS all’interno del casco oppure
utilizzare il casco qualora il sistema MIPS sia danneggiato o si sia spostato
all’interno del casco.

3. DESCRIZIONE DEL PRODOTTO
I caschi VR46 Racing Apparel S.r.l. sono dotati di caratteristiche
che garantiscono piena comodità e adattabilità agli utilizzatori.
Grazie alla composizione in PC ed EPS ed alla tecnologia di stam-
pa, i caschi VR46 Racing Apparel S.r.l. risultano leggeri, conforte-
voli e performanti. La presenza di prese d’aria e di materiali traspi-
ranti, garantiscono un elevata traspirabilità del casco.
Il casco è dotato di cuscinetti protettivi rimovibili tramite feltro posi-
zionati internamente nella parte superiore, anteriore e posteriore, ed
in corrispondenza del cinturino sottogola.

Il casco OPEN FACE TRAIL HELMET modello VREQH2 (MIPS) è dotato di
tecnologia MIPS (Multi Directional Impact Protection System). Tale sistema
consiste in un piano di scorrimento in grado di ruotare leggermente all’interno
del casco in caso di urto rotazionale, contribuendo a reindirizzare le forze di im-
patto lontano dalla testa ed aumentando quindi la capacità protettiva del casco.

3.2 Indossare il casco
Il casco OPEN FACE TRAIL HELMET modello VREQH2 (MIPS)
viene fornito in diverse taglie per adattarsi alle diverse dimensioni
della testa degli utilizzatori. Scegliere la taglia corretta rispettando
le indicazioni di seguito riportate:

Il casco è dotato di una bbia magnetica a sgancio rapido che
consente di allacciare e slacciare il casco senza modicarne la
regolazione.
Prima di indossare il casco assicurarsi che le cinghie siano tese in
maniera uniforme e che siano inserite correttamente nelle bbie di
chiusura.
Con il cinturino sottomento aperto, posizionare il casco sulla testa.
Notare quale cinturino è allentato, togliere il casco e stringere il
cinturino allentato. Bilanciare la lunghezza di tutti e quattro i cinturini.
Chiudere il cinturino sottomento tramite la chiusura magnetica.
Il casco deve essere posizionato in maniera diritta, ben saldo e in
piano sulla testa, in modo da coprire la fronte senza ostacolare la
vista.

3.2 Indossare il casco
Regolare il cinturino sottomento in modo da farlo aderire alla
parte inferiore della mascella senza tirare. Per vericare la corretta
tensione, aprendo la bocca, si dovrebbe sentire il cinturino tirare
contro il mento.
Regolare posteriormente il casco tramite il sistema di regolazione
come descritto al paragrafo 3.3.
3. 3 Sistema di regolazione
Il casco OPEN FACE TRAIL HELMET modello VREQH2 (MIPS)
viene regolato tramite il sistema di regolazione occipitale a ruota.
Lo scopo della regolazione è quello di adattare il casco all’utiliz-
zatore.
Una mancata o scorretta regolazione può determinare una man-
cata protezione in caso di impatto.
La regolazione avviene ruotando il regolatore in senso orario per
stringere il casco e in senso antiorario per allargarlo, come mo-
strato nella gura seguente.
Per vericare la corretta regolazione, provare a ruotare il casco in
avanti e indietro; se indossato e regolato correttamente il casco
non dovrà scendere in avanti coprendo gli occhi, né cadere all’in-
dietro lasciando scoperta la fronte.

4. MANUTENZIONE E CURA
Pulire il casco con acqua e sapone neutro.
Non utilizzare sostanze diverse per la pulizia del casco; il contatto
con sostanze corrosive può provocare danni non visibili ad occhio
nudo.
Non utilizzare il casco se esposto a tali sostanze.
Non esporre il casco a temperature elevate, maggiori di
140 F
(60°C)
; non esporre il casco al sole per periodi di tempo prolungati;
non esporre il casco a contatto o nelle vicinanze di fonti di calore.
La durata di vita del casco prevista è di tre anni dalla data di produ-
zione. VR46 Racing Apparel S.r.l. consiglia di sostituire il casco
trascorso questo periodo di tempo; in ogni caso il casco deve
essere sostituito quando mostra segni evidenti di usura, quando
subisce urti o lesioni.
La vita utile del casco potrebbe essere inferiore a tre anni in caso
di esposizione alla luce solare, maneggiamento e conservazione
scorretti.

The OPEN FACE TRAIL HELMET model VREQH2 (MIPS) has
been certied as Category II Personal Protective Equipment
pursuant to Regulation 2016/425, by the certication body:

These instructions are important for your safety and should be kept
in a safe place.

2. WARNINGS
The OPEN FACE TRAIL HELMET model VREQH2 (MIPS) is not
intended for use when driving motor vehicles (including mopeds,
motorbikes and scooters).
Do not make any modications to the helmet. Do not ax any ad-
ditional components to the helmet.
This helmet should not be used by children attempting to climb or
perform other activities that carry a risk of strangulation/hanging if
the child becomes trapped while wearing it.
To ensure adequate protection, the helmet must be worn correctly
and regularly maintained.
The helmet must be of an appropriate size for the user’s head.
Choose the size of the helmet according to the measurement of
the head circumference, as indicated below in this user manual.
The helmet does not protect against impact and injury in any type
of accident. Even if a helmet is worn, an accident can result in
serious head injuries or death. A mountain bike helmet does not
protect against injuries to the spine, neck or face.
Anything that is placed between the head and the helmet may re-
duce the level of protection. Hats, scarves, hair clips or other items
present under the helmet may cause it to shift in the event of an
impact, resulting in injury to the wearer.
Only use this helmet for its intended use. The OPEN FACE TRAIL
HELMET model VREQH2 (MIPS) is intended for use on pedal
bikes, skateboards, roller skates, and mountain bikes. Do not use
this helmet for any other purposes.
In the event of an impact, do not continue to use the helmet. The helmet may
have suered non-visible damage, which may reduce its protective capacity.
No helmet or impact protection system can protect the user from any kind of
injury. Although the MIPS system is designed to reduce rotational stress to
the head, which can lead to brain injury, all helmets - even those with MIPS
technology - have limitations in terms of their protective capabilities. It is for-
bidden to move, reposition or tamper with the MIPS system inside the helmet
in any way, or to use the helmet if the MIPS system is damaged or has moved
inside the helmet.

3. PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
VR46 Racing Apparel S.r.l. helmets are equipped with features
that guarantee full comfort and adaptability for users.
Thanks to their PC and EPS composition and mould technology,
VR46 Racing Apparel S.r.l. helmets are lightweight, comfortable
and high-performance. Air intakes and breathable materials
guarantee high helmet ventilation.
The helmet is equipped with removable felt pads positioned
internally at the top, front and rear, and on the chin strap.

The OPEN FACE TRAIL HELMET model VREQH2 (MIPS) is equipped with
MIPS (Multi-Directional Impact Protection System) technology. This system
consists of a sliding plane that can rotate slightly inside the helmet in the event
of a rotational impact, helping to redirect the impact forces away from the head,
thereby increasing the helmet’s protective capacity.

3.2 Wearing the helmet
The OPEN FACE TRAIL HELMET model VREQH2 (MIPS)
comes in dierent sizes, to t dierent head measurements.
Choose the correct size according to the instructions below.

The helmet is equipped with a magnetic quick-release buckle
that allows fastening and unfastening without changing the
adjustment.
Before putting on the helmet, make sure that the straps are evenly
tightened and that they are properly engaged in the buckles.
With the chin strap open, place the helmet over your head.
Note which strap is loose, remove the helmet and tighten the loose
strap. Balance the length of all four straps.
Fasten the chin strap with the magnetic clasp.
The helmet must be positioned straight, rmly and level on the
head so that it covers the forehead without obstructing line of sight.
