START HERE This section highlights important information for this specific firmware and will assist in pricing accordingly, as
well as bringing awareness to any operational or vehicle limitations.

Firmware notes
Smart door handles: Not functional during runtime.
Transponder override: This firmware does not support transponder override. One (1) programmed OEM key must be wired into the
vehicle to complete the installation of a remote starter.
Climate controls: Audi climate controls are key-memory sensitive. This means that the last key used to operate the vehicle will
determine the setting for the climate controls. In order to make changes to environment control settings, the following procedure is
required:
1) Remote start the vehicle.
2) Make your climate control adjustments, ensuring not to use the AUTO mode on the control panel as this
makes the Audi adjust its HVAC settings based on external factors such as engine temperature.
3) When the adjustments are complete, turn off the vehicle starter, either by remote or foot brake.
RS: To remote start the engine, the hood, the hatch and all doors must be closed.
Unless specified otherwise, all connectors are displayed from the wire side, with the exception of the OBDII diagnostic connector.
Refer to the Vehicle connections section following the installation diagram.

[1] Hood pin: The installation of an aftermarket hood pin is only required on vehicles that are not equipped with a factory hood pin, or if
not supported in data.
[2] Tach wire: Optional connection required on some remote starters, which do not support a tach signal in D2D.
[3] Brake wire: The correct brake activation wire will test as 0.6V with the ignition on and 12V with the brake pedal depressed with
ignition on. Failure to identify the correct wire will cause permanent damage to the interface.

Module programming
Refer to “LED diagnostics and troubleshooting” for more information and for troubleshooting purposes.
1Ensure vehicle is in a safe location, and cannot move forward during programming. For vehicles
equipped with a manual transmission, make sure the gearshift lever is in the neutral position.

The harnesses must be connected in this exact order:
1. Connect the 14-pin.
2. Connect the 12-pin.
3. Connect the 10-pin.
4. Connect the 4-pin D2D cable (if being used).
When the LED turns ON solid red, proceed with the next step.

Important! Do NOT depress the brake pedal.
Press the Push-to-Start (PTS) button one time (1x)to turn the ignition ON.
4The LED turns ON solid green for 3 seconds,then shuts OFF.
5Press the PTS button once (1x) more to turn the ignition OFF.
You have successfully completed the module programming sequence.

Connect the 12-pin main power harness to the module.
DS3+: Wait until the LED turns ON solid orange then proceed to the next step.
DS4+: The LED turns ON solid blue for 1 second to confirm Bluetooth communication.
Wait until the LED turns ON solid orange, then proceed to the next step.
