Unpacking & Installation Guide
WHEN THE MONITOR ARRIVES
Immediately inspect the packaging looking for damage, in addition
check the Tip ‘N Tell indicators. Take photos if appropriate and
consider rejecting the shipment if serious damage is evident.
PREPARATION
You will need:
•A place to mount the monitor – the monitor should be taken from the packaging
direct to its wall or cart mounting location
•VESA compatible mounting brackets - to install on the back of the monitor
before removing it from its packaging base.
•Cautions: The monitor is heavy, it is not waterproof and runs from AC power –
care and appropriate qualification is required for handling.
Packing Specifications:
•Packing box size: 66”L x 9.5”W x 41”H
•Packed weight: 125lbs
•Monitor size: 60”L x 35”W x 3.6”T (2.5” with handles removed)
•Monitor weight: 105lbs
•Monitor mounting: VESA standard 400mmx400mm 9recommended) and
600mmx400mm mounting holes using M6 screws (supplied).

Unpacking
The packaged monitor is shown below.
To unpack release the locking clips at the bottom of each side and lift the box up by the
carry handles near the labels – take care the monitor does not fall over when the top is
lifted off.
Caution: The packaged monitor has a weight of 125lbs so requires caution when lifting.

Unpacking continued…
After lifting off the box top the wrapped monitor looks like the following. Ensuring the
monitor does not fall over remove the top packing foam, the white Accessories box and
open the bag, sliding it down the monitor so the VESA mounting points can be accessed.
KEEP THE MONITOR IN THE BASE UNTIL MOUNTING BRACKETS ARE FITTED
Packing Material Note: We recommend retaining the packing material at least until after
the monitor is installed and in use. In the event of a return suitable packing material is
required.

!Mounting
After lifting off the box top, removing the top packing foam and sliding the bag down over
the monitor you will be able to access the mounting screws.
Continue to ensure the monitor does not fall over.
There are two mounting hole patterns, VESA 400mm x 400mm (recommended) and
VESA 600mm x 400mm. Both patterns use M6 screws (supplied). See the mechanical
drawing on the last page of this guide.
At this point we recommend following the instructions for the mounting brackets you have
selected.
When the mounting brackets have been fitted, use the carry handles
on the monitor to transfer the monitor directly from the packing base
to the mounting location.
Note: The carry handles are removable.

Turning The Monitor On
Before connecting power to an AC socket connect all appropriate cables to the monitor…
The essential connections are:
•Power, from AC/DC adaptor provided in the Accessories box.
•Video signal, choice of Displayport, HDMI or DVI
•USB for touch
The Volanti 65” Multi-touch monitor input specifications are:
•Power: AC/DC power adaptor as supplied, it accepts 110/240V AC
•Video Signal:
oDisplayPort 1.3: Up to 3840x2160 input resolution at 60Hz.
oHDMI 2.0: Up to 3840x2160 input resolution at 60Hz
oHDMI 1.4: Up to 3840x2160 input resolution at 30Hz
oDVI Dual Link: Up to 3840x2160 input resolution at 30Hz
•USB: Touch compatible with:
oWindows: Versions 7/8/10. We recommend Windows 10 for most complete
touch integration.
oLinux: Depends on version and HID compliance.
oAndroid: HID compliance.
oApple MAC: Single touch only, or multi-touch with third part drivers.
Power: After connecting the cables to the monitor the AC can be connected to the
source, the monitor will power-on.
Note regarding Ethernet & RS-232
Ethernet and RS-232 connections are provided for command and communications such
as connection with an AV room controller or to a PC. See separate guide for details.

Turning The Monitor Off & On
The monitor will auto power-on when connected to the AC power, if there is a valid video
signal this will then display.
To turn the monitor off there are various choices:
•Button: Using the ‘PWR ON/OFF’ button on the side of the monitor, hold the
button momentarily.
•Remote control: Using the supplied remote control
•Video source: Disconnecting the video source, without a video source the monitor
will auto power-off.
•Commands: Sending an Off command via Ethernet or RS-232
•AC power: Turning off the AC power.
To turn the monitor on there are various choices: Although the monitor will auto
power-on when AC power is supplied if it is then powered off it will go into a sleep mode,
to then power-on again any of the following will work:
•Button: Using the ‘PWR ON/OFF’ button on the side of the monitor.
•Remote control: Using the supplied remote control (see below).
•Video source: Connecting the video source, without a video source the monitor
will auto power-off, re-connecting will power-on.
•Commands: Sending an On command via Ethernet or RS-232
