Description
The PowerDome PRO series is a variable speed PTZ (pan/tilt/zoom) dome camera used in
CCTV systems for discreet surveillance of a remote area. Its operational set-up
configurations are customised and stored within its own on-board programmable non-
volatile memory both in the housing and camera. The PowerDome PRO is programmed
using the Vista range of VKBD keyboards and control equipment.
Features
Back-box memory: Replacement of a unit is simple; there is no need for manual
reprogramming. All settings are stored in the camera yoke assembly and housing back-box
and can be up - or down-loaded as required.
Home: The dome will return to an assigned function (preset, learn-tour or tour) after a pre-
determined time.
Schedules: The dome has 8-programmable schedules for running preset, learn-tour or
tours.
Multiple presets and tours: The dome features 220 presets, 4 tours of up to 32 presets
each, 4 learn-tours and 4 auto-pans.
Directional indicator via OSD: The operator can set North at 0-deg, providing a clear
indication of direction of view.
RS485 and Coax (FSK) telemetry: Including Vista PD, Pelco P & D,
Up to 8-privacy masks: To prevent intrusion into unwanted areas.
Dome titles: The various dome titles can be displayed, not displayed or displayed according
to a schedule.
Day/Night Switching: The dome will switch mode either automatically, manually or on a
schedule.
Voltage Protection: 4,000V protection for video, data, power against lightning and surges.
Pre-set accuracy: 0.1 degree of accuracy.
Alarms: There are 7 Alarm inputs and 2 outputs in the dome head. Alarms can be scheduled
by the internal clock.
Operation Requirements
The PowerDome Pro can operate on either RS485 or coaxial FSK control. The dome’s
protocols are selected using dipswitch settings and specific telemetry protocol modules. A
minimum of one controlling device is required for operation as shown below; FSK control
requires a Vista Blade or Navigator hard disk recorder and a minimum of one keyboard.
