SAFETY OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
ü Before using the hydraulic crane ensure it is in sound condition, and good working
order.
ü Crane boom must always be stored and secured in the down position when not in
use. This is to protect the chrome ram from elements/corrosion etc and to safely
drive the vehicle without having the boom swing around dangerously.
ü Replace or repair damaged parts. Use recommended parts only. Non-authorised
parts may be dangerous and will invalidate the warranty.
ü Always inspect the chain and hook prior to use.
ü Keep the stand clean for best and safest performance.
ü Locate the stand in an adequate working area for its function, keep area clean and
tidy and free from unrelated materials, and ensure there is adequate lighting.
ü Use on a firm, level surface capable of sustaining the hydraulic crane lift and the
load.
ü Operators should maintain correct balance and footing. Ensure the floor is not
slippery and wear non-slip shoes.
ü Ensure all non-essential persons keep a safe distance whilst the crane is in use.
ü Stay alert, watch what you are doing and use common sense when operating a ute
crane. Do not use a ute crane whilst you are tired or under the influence of drugs,
alcohol or medication.
ü Always make sure the vehicle is in park, the engine is off, the parking brake is set
before use.
ü Always ensure the vehicle and the load is stable.
û DO NOT exceed the safe working capacity 900kg.
û DO NOT lift an object when the vehicle is in motion.
û DO NOT operate the crane if damaged.
û DO NOT use crane in damp or wet locations. DO NOT expose to rain.
û DO NOT allow untrained persons to operate the crane.
û DO NOT use the crane to lift or support people.
DANGER: DO NOT stand beneath, in front of, or to close to the side of the load.
