Possibilities:
The exercise cards can be recognized by the tabs, sticking out from
the cassette. The symbols on the tabs indicate the contents of the
cards. A card is chosen, removed from the cassette and inserted to
cover the other cards in the cassette. The game can be played by
two or more children. In turns, two discs are taken from the cassette.
The appearance of “a pair” means that the player can keep the two
discs and try again. Different pictures means that the next player
has a turn. At the end of the game the winner is made known by
counting the number of discs, collected by each player.
An excellent counting exercise! Children who still show some
difficulties with counting, can stack the discs and compare the
heights of the piles.
The exercise cards can also be used without the cassette: Looking
for two or four of the same pictures without covering them is, with
the guidance of the teacher, an additional exercise.
The discussion about the pictures and the search for “pairs”
indicates the level of progress made in the area of perception in the
horizontal plane.
Memos can also be used as an individual game. All discs are
removed from the cassette. It is necessary now to look for identical
pictures (exercise of perception) after which they are covered with a
disc.
