Follow these instructions to install your environment friendly fireplace.
INSTALLATION TENDERFLAME DL180 BURNER
TenderFlame 180 & DL 180 burner comes
with a steel case that is recommended to use
when you are building your own fireplace
using these burners.
The instructions from page 3-6 applies when
you are construction with a built-in solution.

REQUIREMENTS USING TENDERFLAME DL 180 FOR BUILT-IN FIREPLACE
Materials used in areas becoming hot - must be non-combustIble materials. Plasterboards will not bee good enough in this
context.
Recommended materials are e.g. skamol boards, stone slabs, steel/metal, firewall slabs.
We recommend using the steel box provided with the burner. Alternatively the burner can hang on the top plate. If so be
aware of any fuel spills when filling the burner. The materials around the burner must be none-combustible materials.
Burner in the included steel case can be placed in a recess area. This area must be made from non-combustible materials
as the steel box can get hot.
The steel case will get hot on the top and on the top half of the steel box. If the box will be built into wooden boards or
other combustible materials there must be a gap of minimum 3 mm on all sides of the steel box.
If alight opening is to be made (framing the side and above the burner), there must be 40 cm up the ceiling in the light
opening. Walls and ceiling inside the light opening must be made in non-combustible material.
If the burner is placed in areas with non-combustible above the burner, there must be a clearance of 150 cm above the
burner.
There should be no loose fabrics, such as curtains, closer than 1 meter from the burner.

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS

Air gap
TenderFlame Wall 180 and Contour 90 &180 have double chassis with
air gaps on the bottom and the top of the outer chassis. These gaps
Ensures airflow which cool down the fireplace. Our fireplaces with
TenderFlame 90 burner provides approximately 1100 watts and the 180
burner. 2000 watts. Installing these burners make sure the heat does
not accumulate and becomes too high.
• Make sure the measurements are followed
• Make sure the air gaps are not covered
• Front plate must be minimum 2 cm from the wall and to the rear edge of the front plate.
• The bracket holding the fireplace must be fixed with the correct screws and plugs for the material in the wall
• Each plug should carry 20 kg
• Topp and rear opening must be made of non combustible materials
