Some parts are supplied already assembled and can be installed as “group”
More then one hose connected on a same port means the presence of an external Tee.
Any kit connected to the main controller needs the corresponding computer set up.
Refer to SIS for any specification

INTRODUCTION
Scope of the manual
This instruction manual is part of the machine and it provides all the necessary information to:
•
manipulation of the machine, packed and unpacked in safety conditions
•
correct assembly of the machine
•
thorough knowledge of its operation and its limits;
According to the current regulations, the responsible of the departments where this system
will be assembled must read carefully the content of this instruction manual and make sure
that the employees read it.
Time spent for this purpose will be rewarded by the correct functioning of the machine and by
its use in safety conditions.
This document assumes that the plants where this system will be set comply with the current safety
regulations and hygiene conditions.
Instructions, drawings and documentation contained in this manual are reserved and intellectual
property of the manufacturer, and they cannot be fully or partially reproduced.
If the manufacturer made any change in this manual, the customer must verify that only updated
versions of it would be present in site where the machine is used.

How to read the manual
Manual is divided into autonomous chapters, and it is addressed to assemblers with the necessary
skills to operate on the machine in safety conditions.
The instruction manual is composed by a cover, a table of contents and a series of chapters
(sections).

Preservation of the manual
Instruction manual should be carefully preserved and it has to accompany the machine in every
change of ownership. Preservation should be facilitated by a careful handling, with clean hands and
it shouldn't be put on dirty surfaces.
You don't have to eliminate, tear or change any part. Manual has to be filed in an environment
without humidity and heat and near the machine it refers to.
Manufacturer can supply further copies of the instruction manual on demand of the User.
Update of the manual
Manufacturer has the right to modify and make improvements to the machine without
communicating it to the customers, and without updating the manual already in hands of the user.
Moreover, the manufactures has to send the updated manual for any agreed change of the machine
at the customer's site.
User is responsible for changing the old chapters, the cover and the table of contents with the new
ones in every owned copy.
Addressees
This manual addresses to the operator, the assembler and the maintenance technicians.
OPERATOR: one or more people that assembly or do the maintenance of a machine;
QUALIFIED PERSONNEL OR OPERATOR: people that attended specialization courses and
that have experience in assembly and maintenance of the machine.
Qualification of addressees
The machine is intended for industrial and therefore professional use, so its use is addressed to
qualified technicians that:
•
are of age;
•
are physically and psychically apt to do technically difficult jobs;
•
have been properly instructed on use and maintenance of the machine;
•
are judged by the employer as suitable to do the designed job;
•
have the skill of assembly and operating the specific type of equipment;
•
have familiarity with the specific regulations of the matter.

This system is not identical to the standard CAT system.
Any reference to CAT pict or documentation has to be considered as an indication only.
Carefully follow this manual to install the system on the host machine
Attention:
Be sure to have understood the installation manual before the installation of the system.
Double check each hydraulic installation before operate the system.
Attention:
In case of local laws or restrictions were applicable on the use of this upgrade kit, the
operator must strictly observe them.

1. Using the provided clamps, bolts and washers, install the tube 253-6454 with valve 389-2407 on the stick (Lh
side), then connect the hose 5I-8510 to the tube just installed
2. Using the provided clamps, bolts and washers, install the tube 253-6453 with valve 389-2407 on the stick (Rh
side), then connect the hose 253-6445 to the tube 253-6453

3. Using the provided bolts and washers, install the plates 495-8338 and 153-8800 on the base of the boom
4. Using the provided bolts and washers, install the plate 495-8341 and 193-6066 on the stick-side of the boom
5. Install the plates 173-7995 and 153-8798 as indicated on SIS page
6. Using the provided clamps, bolts and washers, install the Rh line 521-4624 on the Rh side of the boom
7. Connect the hose 216-6589 to the Rh line, rear side
8. Using the provided clamps, bolts and washers, install the Lh line 513-3071 on the Lh side of the boom
9. Connect the hose 288-7502 to the Lh line, rear side
