Protective Equipment
Safety first
Recommendations
■Always use adequate personal protective equipment before doing anything on this unit.
■Technicians must wear the proper PPE in right way, including full body harness with two
hooks in the waist, safety cap, safety glasses and safety shoes.
■Disconnect the vehicle battery:--Remove the battery ground(-);Then disconnect the positive
battery(+).
■Check the grip brake of truck to ensure it being launched in safe.
■Pull out the key.
■Put safety tag on the steering wheel.
■Drain hose from the evaporator to the outside must have an angle to insure water to be
drained out.
■A descent of 100mm minimum must be applied between evaporator drain water hoses and the
hoses inside the body.

Installation steps

Before installation
1.Unpack the box contents in your warehouse.
KEEP THE DOCUMENT DELIVERED WITH THE
UNIT
2. Unpack the box
3. Check the box content corresponds to the bill of material on
the packaging.
■ Condenser
■ Evaporator
■ Mounting kit
■ Cab command
Note
In the event of abnormality (missing, damaged part or
part number etc), fill in the form “Advance warning, DOA,
Claim” and contact Kaixue Cold Chain

□Take care not to obstruct the air intakes on the
evaporator section and the ventilation ducts.
□For any mobile partition installation, contact our
Technical Department or refer to the attached chart.

3.Preparation before condenser and evaporator installation
Recommendations
Before box preparation and unit installation start,
protect the vehicle roof and the refrigeration box floor
(cover, cardboard…). And there should be the embedded
bracket inside the box.
Three installation ways:
■ Roof mount
■ Nose mount
■ Roof insert
Roof or roof insert mount:
1.Present the drilling template – not supplied - (refer to the
bodybuilder drawing).
2.Mark out the 4 fixing holes and the electrical harness and
hoses hole, and drill(φ10mm).
3.Install 4 shock absorber pad
■Put silicone to waterproof on the spacer inside the box.
■Put silicon to waterproof on the 4 screws outside the
box.
4.Drill a hole to pass hoses and harness.
Nose mount:
5.Present the drilling template – not supplied - (refer to the
bodybuilder drawing).
6.Mark out the 4 fixing holes and the electrical harness and
hoses hole, and drill(φ10mm).
7.Drill a hole to pass hoses and harness.

3.Preparation before condenser and evaporator installation
1.Present the drilling template – not supplied - (refer to the
bodybuilder drawing).
2.Leave a minimum space of 150 mm between the box
wall and the rear of the evaporator.
3.If needed, use the fixing material adapted to
reinforcement done by the bodybuilder.
If no fixing material adapted to reinforcement done by the
bodybuilder, please use bolts
1.Drill 4 holes φ10.5mm on roof top of the box from inside,
deepness 140mm at least.
2.Enlarge the hole with drill φ12.5mm
Attention:Never broken the φ5mm hole outside the box
3.From the outside of the box, punch the countersunk hole with
a φ22 mm round slot saw
Attention:Never broken the φ12.5mm hole outside the box
4.Measure the top height

5.Adjust the bolts suitable length(L=top thickness(E) - box
inside cover thickness(E’)), means L=E-E’
■L：Bolts length
■E：Top thickness
■E＇：Box inside cover thickness
Bolts preparation
1、Bolts
2、Silicon sealing

4、PU foaming
5、Box internal vertical wall

8、M12 bolts
Bolts assemble
1.Put silicone inside the bolts
2.Put the bolts into the drilling hole
3.Gently press the silicone seal with a wooden hammer
