products are designed to bring you dependable performance and ideal results for your
unique need. However, failure to follow the instructions and warnings in this guide may
result in product damage and/or serious injury. Sunterra will not be held liable for any
damage resulting from failure to observe this guide’s instructions.
Please keep the following safety tips in mind
Always unplug the UV Clarier before handling.
DO NOT SUBMERGE.
UV light is harmful to the skin and eyes. Avoid exposure.
Always connect UV Clarier to a circuit that is protected by a GFCI outlet.

INSTALLATION
How to Install: Make sure the bulb is properly secure in the lamp holder and lock the
lamp housing into the end of the clarier and secure tightly. Place clarier in desired
location (DO NOT SUBMERGE). Connect the tubing from the outlet on your pump to
the inlet of the clarier*. Connect tubing from the outlet of the clarier to a waterfall,
spitter, or any other desired water feature. Plug clarier into a GFCI outlet.
*e water inlet is closest to the power cord and light housing. (See FIG. 01)

HINTS AND TROUBLESHOOTING
CAUTION: UV RADIATION IS DANGEROUS; DISCONNECT POWER BEFORE HANDLING.
If the light does not work properly, please check the following:
Test another electrical product in the same outlet used by the clarier.
Check to make sure the power cord is plugged in and the clarier is getting power.
Check to make sure that the bulb is locked securely in the holder and lamp housing is screwed
completely into the clarier.
Check the bulb to make sure that it has not burned out. Replace bulb if necessary.
MAINTENANCE
Safety Notes: Always unplug the electrical cord from the outlet before handling the UV clarier. Also,
make sure that the clarier is plugged into a GFCI outlet. UV bulb will get hot so please allow sucient
time for the light to cool before attempting to replace it.

CHANGING THE BULB
CAUTION: UV RADIATION IS DANGEROUS; DISCONNECT POWER BEFORE HANDLING.
ALLOW LIGHT TO COOL AND DRY BEFORE HANDLING.
Unscrew the lamp housing from the end of the clarier. Carefully remove the old bulb by rmly pulling
on the base. Carefully install the new bulb. Reinstall the lamp housing into the end of the clarier and
secure in place.

Covered products
Sunterra UV clariers oer a one-year limited warranty.
Limited warranty exclusions
01. Our limited warranty does not cover any costs associated with the installation or removal of products
subject to warranty claims.
02. All of these warranties are from date of purchase. Replacement liability is limited to Sunterra’s sole
discretion of any part or parts of the unit’s defective material or workmanship. Proof of purchase is
required for all claims against the limited warranty.
03. is warranty does not extend to damage of a Sunterra product or part resulting from accident,
misuse, alteration, neglect, abuse, improper installation, or normal wear and tear to the product(s).
is limited warranty extends only to the original user of the Sunterra product.
Safety
Regular maintenance must be performed on any limited warranty item based upon the Sunterra Owner’s
Guide recommendations. REMEMBER to always unplug the clarier before handling. Do not exceed
voltage on the clarier. Product is not to be operated below 41F - freeze damage may occur. Always
keep the cord away from heat and high temperature. Connect the clarier with the proper voltage and
GFCI outlet.
