Setting Front Wheel Toe-In Angle
1.
Withthetrikeonthegroundandwheelsxedinthestraightaheadposition,measurefromthefrontoftheleft
wheelcenterlineacrosstothefrontoftherightwheelcenterline.Recordthatmeasurement.SeeFigureF.
2. Repeattheabovefortherearleftwheelcenterlineacrosstotherearrightwheelcenterline.Recordthat
measurement.Themeasurementshouldbethesameorupto3mmgreaterthanthefrontcenterline.
(0mmto3mmrecommended)SeeFigureG.
Hintforasimplemeasuringtechnique:Useatapemeasureandhookoneendonaninsidespokeatthe
centerlineoftheleftfrontwheelandmeasuretotheopposinginsidespokeonthefrontoftherighthandwheel.
Usethesametechniqueattherear.Toadjustthetoein,loosentheRodEndJamNutsonthe#14Steering
LinkageAssembly.SeeFigureH.TurntheSteeringLinkageAssemblyclockwiseorcounterclockwise.Thiswill
lengthenorshortentherodsincetherodendsarerighthandthreadedononesideandlefthandthreadedon
theother.TightentheRodEndJamNutsandrecheckthewheeltoe-in.Readjustifnecessary.
