1.FORK INSTALLATION
Please have your RUX RC2 DH fork installed by an
Authorized bicycle technician.

2. WHEEL & AXLE INSTALLATION
The RUX 20mm QR Axle incorporates a uniquely designed tool less method to install & remove
the wheel. Proper installation is crucial to securing the front wheel & failure to do so may
result in a loose axle. Please follow the step-by-step pictures!
STEP 5. Close QR lever snug
against the drop out.
STEP 4: After axle is tight, insert
dog bone into the axle.
STEP 6: Make sure the QR lever
is securely closed!
STEP 2: After Installing the
wheel, Insert Axle from QR side.
STEP 3: Use the red dog bone to
tighten the axle snug against
the drop-out.
STEP:1 Insert wheel into
dropout

4. AIR PRESSURE & SAG
The RUX RC2 uses air as the main spring. The main spring functions to resist
compression of the fork under the riders weight. When setting the air pressure,
make sure you wear all your gear in order to achieve your exact riding weight.
Helpful info: air pressure is critical for optimum performance. Keep a record of your air pressure
under different riding conditions.Too little air pressure, the fork will easily compress under your
body weight and full travel will not be achieved for absorbing bumps.Too much air pressure, the
fork will be harsh & loss of traction will occur.

5. REBOUND DAMPING ADJUSTMENT
The RUX RC2 uses an advanced hydraulic cartridge to control
both rebound & compression damping. Optimum performance can
only be achieved when your settings are dialed in so please take
the time to understand these adjustments.
Starting Points:
-12 Total Clicks of Rebound Adjustment.
-Baseline Settings: 5 clicks in from full open.
(clockwise direction will increase damping)
-Start testing with damper adjustment in full open
position (counter clockwise direction)
-Too much rebound damping: fork returns slowly &
cannot react to successive bumps, called “packing” &
loss of performance will occur.
-Too little rebound damping: The fork will extend too
rapidly causing the wheel to hop and or bounce after
you hit an obstacle resulting in loss of control &
traction.
-Since rebound damping relates to the amount of air
pressure, set your SAG first then adjust your rebound
damping. More air pressure means more rebound
damping & vice versa.

6. COMPRESSION DAMPING ADJUSTMENT
12 total clicks, start with
adjuster in the open position &
start closing the clicker
(increasing high speed damping)
until desired feel is achieved.
Baseline setting: 4 clicks in from
full open.
High Speed Damping controls
high speed compression of the
fork or shock regardless of bike
speed, G-outs, square edge
bumps, and flat landings are
examples of where high
compression speeds occur.
8.5 total clicks, start with
adjuster in open position &
start closing the clicker
(increasing low speed
damping) until desired feel is
achieved.
Baseline setting: 3 clicks in
from full open position.
Low speed compression
controls damping under lower
speeds such as slow technical
trails, flat/undulating trails,
hard pedaling/sprinting etc
regardless of bike speed.
The RUX RC2 uses an advanced hydraulic cartridge to control both high & low speed
compression. Both high & low speed compression can be controlled independently
& proper set-up is crucial.

7. Tightening Triple Clamps
Securely tightening the stanchions into the clamps is
extremely important. For safety and performance
reasons, please tighten the triple clamp bolts to 6-8 Nm.
