INTRODUCTION

Sordin Share Repeater is a range extension unit for use with a group of Sordin Share hearing protectors.

Key features

•Act as a node in the Dynamic Mesh Communication group with up to 14 team members (15 including the repeater).

•Bluetooth® connection to phone for adjusting settings and communication groups.

•USB-C connection to computer for adjusting settings and communication groups.

SAFETY

WARNING:

Before you install and operate the product, you must read and understand the safety chapter.

•Use and save these instructions.

•Always shut off power to the circuit before installation work.

•Electrical installation work shall only be carried out by an authorised electrical contractor.

•The product contains electrical components that may cause ignition in flammable or explosive atmospheres. Do not

use in environments where sparks may cause a fire or explosion.

•Do not put the product in storage at temperatures above +55°C and below -20°C.

•Only use the product between temperatures -20°C and +55°C.

•Ensure that the product is not damaged during transportation and use.

•Do not change or remove parts on the product.

•Dispose the product in accordance with national legislation.

INSTALLATION

WARNING:

Before you install and operate the product, you must read and understand the safety chapter.

The unit is designed to meet IP65 protection class and can be placed outside. To protect the unit and prolong the

service life, place the unit so that it is protected from heavy rain and sunlight.

See pictures (Fig.1) and (Fig.2) on last page.

1. Loosen the cover screws (Fig.1.A) and remove the cover (Fig.1.B).

2. Secure the unit on a wall with suitable screws in all four corners (Fig.2.A).

3. Route the electric cable through the cable gland (Fig.2.B) and tighten firmly.

4. Connect circuit lines according to the marking on the internal power supply (Fig.2.C).

5. Place the cover (Fig.1.A) and tighten the cover screws (Fig.1.B). NOTICE!Make sure that the sealing in the cover is in

correct place before the cover is placed.

OPERATION

Switch ON / OFF

•To turn ON, push the multifunction button (Fig.1.C) for 2 seconds. LED (Fig.1.D) flashes GREEN fast 3 times.

When the unit is ON, the LED flashes GREEN slowly with 3-second interval.

•To turn OFF, push the multifunction button (Fig.1.C) for 2 seconds. LED (Fig.1.D) flashes RED fast 3 times.

NOTICE! In case of a power failure, the unit must be switched ON again to operate. No automatic power up.

Group management and other settings

The unit must be a member of the group to which it shall act as a repeater. It can only support the group it is an active

member in.

Group management and other settings can be made in two ways,

Pair a phone via Bluetooth® and use the Sordin Share app to manage groups and other settings in the unit. The app

can be found on Google Play (for Android) and App Store (for iOS). Use Sordin Share App Guide for instructions.

Connect a computer via the USB-C connector (Fig.1.F) and use the Sordin Share Configuration Tool to manage groups

and other settings in the unit. The unit is switched OFF when connected to a computer and must be switched ON

again to operate. Use Sordin Share Configuration Tool Guide for instructions.

Bluetooth pairing

Push multifunction button (Fig.1.C) for 5 seconds, until LED (Fig.1.D) flashes RED/BLUE.

In your phone, search for Bluetooth devices and select “SNNNNNN” (number marked on the unit, Fig.1.E). If the phone

requires a password, enter: 0000.

Once the Bluetooth pairing is performed it will automatically establish connection next time it is used.

To cancel the pairing process, push the multifunction button (Fig.1.C) for 2 seconds.

If pairing is not completed within 2 minutes, the unit automatically returns to standby.

Audio input

3.5mm audio input (Fig.1.G) (only variant) for connection to computer or other source to send voice messages to the

intercom group.
