3INTRODUCTION
!
Designed to provide the lowest noise operation possible in an active monitor controller, the
ACTIVE-1 is ideal for applications where both signal attenuation and boost is needed.
Building on the feature set of the PASSIVE-1, the ACTIVE-1 also includes LED level-metering and
convenient switch selectable +4dBu/-10dBV input stage operation. The ACTIVE-1 is automatically
recognized by the host computer as a USB device for easy DAW recording and playback via the
on-board USB I/O.
It allows you to connect multiple input signals, route them to various destinations, and control their
levels. The ACTIVE-1 is an ideal centerpiece for monitor control in home, professional, and project
studio applications.

discussion in the studio without having to change the position of the volume knob.
5.4 Mute
Activate this switch to mute the signal from the outputs.
5.5 Mono
Activate this switch to listen to the audio outputs in monophonic mode. This combines the stereo
audio signal into a monophonic signal, which helps to check for any phase cancellation issues in
the stereo signal.
5.6 Volume control
As it is an ACTIVE device, the ACTIVE-1’s Volume control, controls an electronic circuit, which in
turn adjusts the level of the audio going through the device.
