ADJUSTMENTS
Footrest
The footrest on the powerchair can be adjusted for
angle.
To adjust the angle flip up the footplate and adjust the
bolt (1) until the required angle is reached.
Armrest Width
Under the seat there are two hand knobs. Undo a few
turns and set the armrests at the required width. Re-
tighten the hand knobs to secure the arms in place.
Caution: DO NOT use the armrests to support the
full weight of the occupant during transfers.
Seat Removal & Height Adjustment
Firstly turn off the power and carefully unplug the
joystick from the rear frame connector. DO NOT pull
the cable to undo the connection, hold the plug
firmly and gently pull to undo.
To remove, fold the seat forward using the seat
recline lever and undo the upper red hand lever under
the seat. Simply lift the seat away from the main
chassis and store safely to prevent damage to the
joystick / joystick cable.
The seat can be set at three different heights.
Remove the seat as described above. Undo the lower
red hand lever and remove the steel locking pin. Set
the post to the required height, re-insert the steel pin
ensuring the locking ‘loop’ is in place. Re-tighten the hand lever and refit the
seat and re-connect the joystick.
Backrest angle
Pull up on the backrest reclining lever (left hand side of the seat) and set the
angle required by holding the backrest in the desired position and then
release the lever, the backrest will stay in the position selected.
The backrest can be lowered forward onto the seat for storage or transport.
The backrest is spring-loaded and should be restrained from going forward
when the lever is released.
Note: The powerchair will become more unstable the further the
backrest is reclined. Do not attempt to climb kerbs or slopes with the
backrest in any reclined position. Do not carry bags on the back of the
seat as they may affect stability.
