I. GENERAL.
The Model 300GCX and 302GCX are selectable tone audible signals designed for use in Division
2 Hazardous Locations. They provide safety when used as signals where flammable dusts, liquids,
and gases are normally confined within closed containers or systems but may be present in case of
accidental rupture or spillage.
Unique and distinctive tones are produced by plug-in modules. Each plug-in tone module, which
produces the individual signal sounds, contains built-in automatic control circuitry to vary the
frequency of an individual selected tone. It is particularly useful in situations which require a
distinctive tone, such as areas of high noise level or where a different sound is required to be
distinguished from other nearby signals. Refer to tone module sales bulletin for additional
information.
Models 300GCX and 302GCX have UL approval for use in Class I Groups A, B, C, and D,
Division 2, and Class II Groups and G, Division 2, and Class III Hazardous Locations.
