IMPORTANT WARNINGS
Place the platform in a room in which the following conditions are respected:
-level supporting surface,
-stability and absence of vibrations,
-absence of aggressive powders or vapours,
-absence of airstreams,
-moderate temperature and humidity (don’t expose directly to sunlight or heat sources),
-floor hardness 100kg/cm2 at least.
Make sure the platform is level through the leads and the spirit level included in the homologated version
(see the UNBLOCK and INSTALLATION instructions).
Do not weld, pierce or modify the structure without consulting the seller. Eventual damages or tampering annul
the warranty conditions.
If the working environment is a damp and wet place, the installation must be carried out in such a way as to
avoid water and/or rubble accumulation and stagnation under the structure.
The platform must be connected to a weight indicator through the included cable, following the indicator’s
instructions.
Do not trample on, squash or expose to heat source the screened connection cable.
CONNECT THROUGH EARTH TERMINAL the platform’s metallic structure through the appropriate power
outlet, especially when weighing material whose manipulation could provoke electrostatic discharges (powders,
plastic materials, etc.).
In case of doubt, consult the seller.
DO NOT INSTALL IN A PLACE AT EXPLOSION RISK.
(Unless it is specifically determined)
Do not use solvents for cleaning.

1. INTRODUCTION
All the weighing modules of the FPW series are constructed with quality materials and a calibration procedure
that guarantees the maximum reliability and durable weighing precision. Weighing elements are made up of 4
load cells, produced in conformity with the OIML R60 International Recommendation.
The two platforms’ cell are equalized through junction box, complete of screened 6-pole cable, approximately 3
meters long, for the connection to the weight indicator.
All FPW series’ modules have been projected and constructed with a wide margin of safety, also in particularly
adverse environment conditions.
The FPW series’ pallet-weighing modules have been studied for industrial and commercial applications, in
which it’s necessary to weigh rapidly transported material on moving wagons; the available capacities are 1500
and 3000 kg.
1.1 TECHNICAL FEATURES

2. FLOOR INSTALLATION
NOTE: the weighing module must be connected to a dedicated weight indicator through the cable proceeding
from the junction box, following the indicator’s instructions.
The electronic instruments connected to the platforms cannot be calibrated before being supplied.
The customer will be responsible for the instrument’s preparation and calibration.
To obtain detailed information see the instrument’s technical-operative handbook.
If the platform is comprised with the instrument and the calibration service, there’s no need to calibrate it.
2.1 PACKAGE OPENING
a) open the package.
b) check if there are any damages due to the transport, and verify that inside there are:
1 base, 4 adjustable pins, 1 junction box (inside the base), 1 connection cable and 1 installation handbook.
2.2 INSTALLATION AND CONNECTION
RESPECT AND PUT INTO OPERATION THE WARNINGS AT PG. 2.
When positioning the platform on the floor, refer to pic.3.
Follow this procedure when positioning the platform:
a) while lifting the platform on its side, screw completely the pins (1) on the cells (2). NEVER SCREW BOLTS
(3).
b) level the platform acting on the screw pins (1) until the spirit level (6, included in the homologated model)
reaches its centre. The platform’s stability holds a great importance.
All the angles MUST LEAN UNIFORMLY. Make sure accurately that all the pins offer resistance to the soil and
that the platform, burdened on its angle, is not unsteady (if an angle does not lean against its relative pin, it’s
easier to turn).
c) the calibration, if necessary, should be carried out 15 minutes after the instrument has been switched on.
d) carry out the electronic instrument’s calibration as indicated on the technical handbook of the instrument
itself.
e) check the platform’s angles (see INSTRUCTIONS FOR PLATFORM EQUALIZATION, paragraph 7), placing
on them (one by one) a sample whose weight is approximately of the instrument’s maximum capacity, and
make sure that the error does not exceeds +/- 2 divisions; otherwise contact the seller.
f) check the zero and the full scale by using a sample weight.

3. COLUMN CSP38I ASSEMBLING (PIC.1)
1. fasten the column (2) to the base (7) using the 2 included screws (10 and 3).
2. screw the pins’ nuts.
3. screw 4 pins (8) to the base (7).
4. get the connection cable, proceeding from the scale, across the column (2), and take it out of the opening.
5. realize the connection following the instructions of the indicator’s handbook.
6. fasten the column (2) to the support for the indicator (9 and 5) using the 2 included screws (11 and 5).
7. fasten the weight indicator (6) to the support (9) using 2 screws (4) and keeping the scale connection cable
well stretched.
8. adjusting the pins, position the CSP column perpendicular to the floor.
9. tighten the pins’ nuts.

4. MAINTENANCE AND REPAIR
4.1 TO OBTAIN EXCELLENT PERFORMANCES
-keep the platform clean. If dirt and dust accumulate on and under the
platform, clean it with a wet cloth or with common cleaning products (do not use SOLVENTS and ACIDS).
-prevent the platform from suffering pushes which could cause serious
damages.
4.2 BREAKDOWNS AND OVERLOADS
If you think that the platform is damaged, disconnect it permanently. Do this if the platform:
-shows signs of damage.
-stops working.
-has been loaded over the tolerable limits (for example during the
transport or the storage).
5. PLATFORM TRANSPORT
To pack the platform, follow the ensuing procedures:
a) switch off the instrument.
b) disconnect the instrument from the platform.
c) remove the pins.
d) position the base on a pallet and fasten it with iron hoops.
