SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
WARNING! When using this product, basic safety
precautions should always be followed. Failure
to follow all instructions listed below may result in
personal injury.
Read all these instructions before attempting to operate
this product and save these instructions.
1. Keep work area clear.
- Cluttered areas and benches invite injuries.
2. Make sure all moving parts are free from
interference.
3. Ensure BENCHJAWSTM is securely fastened
to the Mounting Bracket and the Mounting
Bracket is securely fastened to a sturdy
workbench. Make sure the workbench is
securely anchored to the floor or wall.
4. Keep other persons away.
- Do not let persons, especially children, not involved
in the work touch the tool and keep them away from
the work area.
5. Be aware of over-balancing. When extremely
heavy objects are placed in BENCHJAWSTM, there is
a possibility the workbench can tip forward. Always
ensure the workbench is securely anchored to the
floor or wall.

6. Check to make sure that the BENCHJAWSTM
is properly set in the Mounting Bracket and
the rear Locking Knob is tightened before
operating the BENCHJAWSTM.
7. The tool must be used only for its prescribed
purpose. Any use other than those mentioned
in these instructions will be considered a case of
misuse.
The manufacturer shall not be liable for any damage
or injury resulting from such cases of misuse.
8. Never stand on this product.
9. Dress properly.
- Do not wear loose clothing or jewelry, they can be
caught in moving parts.
- Non-skid footwear is recommended when working
outdoors.
- Wear protective hair covering to contain long hair.
10. Use protective equipment.
- Use safety glasses.
11. Save these instructions. Refer to them frequently
and use them to instruct others who may use
BENCHJAWSTM. If you loan someone BENCHJAWSTM,
loan them these instructions also to prevent misuse
of the product and possible injury.
12. Do not use tools in damp or wet locations.
A moist work piece or damp pad may prevent the
clamp from gripping firmly.
13. Ensure the work piece is clamped firmly and
the Lock/Unlock Switch is in proper state
before use.
14. Check damaged parts. Before using
BENCHJAWSTM, make sure it is operating properly
and can perform intended function.
15. When not in use, keep BENCHJAWSTM out of
the reach of children and do not allow use by
persons unfamiliar with it.
16. Have your BENCHJAWSTM serviced by a
qualified repair person.
17. Warning
- The use of any accessory or attachment other than
ones recommended in this instruction manual may

TECHNICAL DATA
OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
NOTE: Before using the tool, read the
instruction book carefully.
Tools needed for assembly and alignment:
1. 10 mm Nutdriver, wrench or adjustable wrench.
2. Electric screwdriver with #2 Phillips bit.
- ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS
1. Position the Foot Pedal Connector (a) into the
upright position. Mount the Pedal Guide (7) to the
BENCHJAWSTM using the provided four M6 x 16 Bolt
and Washers Assemblies. Attach the Foot Pedal
Connector to the Pedal Connecting Rod (b) using the
provided two M6×45 bolts and two M6 nuts. (Figs
A1-A3)
NOTE: Tighten all fasteners securely (but do not crush
tubes). Loose screws can result in injury or damage to
the unit or workpiece.
Attaching the Mounting Bracket
1. Place the two M6 flange nuts (c) flange down on
the bench, then drop the Mounting Bracket (8) over
them, locating the nuts in the hex holes (use a pencil
through the hole to align the nuts if necessary).
2.
Mount the Mounting Bracket to the desired corner
of a sturdy wooden workbench using the provided
twelve Countersinking Wood Screws. Make sure
the Mounting Bracket is pushed firmly against both
edges of the workbench corner and that it pulls down
evenly onto the bench surface. (See Fig. B2, B3)
NOTE: There are Four Spare Holes on the Mounting
Bracket. Use these holes to insert additional fasteners
if needed to make the Mounting Bracket more secure.
(See Fig. B4).
Mounting in Location other than Bench Corner
(See Fig. B5)
The best position to mount the BENCHJAWSTM is the
corner of the bench as it allows maximum work holding
possibilities. However, if attachment to the center of
a bench is preferred, for example, simply construct
a wooden packer to support the Mounting Bracket.
Make sure the packer is securely fastened to the
bench, and attached the Mounting Bracket according to
instructions.
Mounting to Benches other than Wooden
1. Thin sheet metal bench tops:
Use 3/16˝ countersunk machine screws with large
washer and nut secured beneath the table.
2. Thin sheet metal over a wooden bench table
surface:
Use the standard wood screws into the underlying
wooden table.
3. Thick metal plate bench table, 1/8˝ to 1/4˝:
Use 3/16˝ countersunk machine screws. Drill and
tap the mounting holes or use washers and nuts
under the table.
Mounting the BENCHJAWSTM
1. Locate the Positioning Flanges (d) on the
BENCHJAWSTM body. These Flanges will fit into
holes in the side of the Mounting Bracket. (See Fig.
C1)
2. Locate the BENCHJAWSTM on the Mounting Bracket
so the Positioning Flanges are properly seated in the
holes of the Mounting Bracket. (See Fig. C2, C3)
3. Tighten the Rear Bolt securely into the Hex
Flange Nut on the Mounting Bracket to fasten the
BENCHJAWSTM to the table. (See Fig. D)
NOTE: There is a locating flange at the rear which will
fit into a matching hole in the Mounting Bracket.
While holding the rear of the BENCHJAWSTM down,
tighten the rear Locking Knob into the Flange Nut of the
Mounting Bracket.
Check that the BENCHJAWSTM is now securely mounted.
4. Install the Foot Pedal Assembly (6)using the provided
one M6×45 Bolt and one M6 nut. (See Fig. E)
NOTE: There are different height settings. Choose
the appropriate level according to the height of the
workbench. Because the Pedal will extend down
0-5.5˝ (0-140 mm) when depressed, make sure there is
enough clearance between the Pedal and floor.
- CLAMPING
1. Place the workpiece against the Fixed Jaw (10) and
slide the Moving Jaw (1) forward manually until it
touches the workpiece. Or, if preferred, the Foot

Pedal (6) can be pressed repeatedly to make the
Jaw move forward.
2. Slide the Lock/Unlock Switch (9) down to the “lock”
position. (See Fig. F)
3. Apply downward pressure on the Foot Pedal until
desired clamping force is applied. (See Fig. G)
WARNING: Maximum allowable force on the Foot
Pedal is 220 lbs (maximum 100 kg). Do not stand
or jump on the Pedal or the unit, as you can cause injury
or damage to the unit.
- RELEASING
1. Slide the Lock/Unlock Switch up to the “Unlock”
position.
2. Push down firmly on the Foot Pedal (6). Allow it to
return up and release the workpiece. (See Fig. F, G)
If you have clamped the object very tightly, you must
exert similar pressure on the Foot Pedal before it will
release.
WARNING: Ensure you are supporting the
workpiece to avoid it falling when the Jaw
is released.
3. Slide the Moving Jaw (1) back and remove your
workpiece. (See Fig. H)
- CLAMPING ON ONE SIDE OF THE JAW (See Fig. I)
Sometimes, large or awkward workpieces can only be
clamped on one side of the Jaws. In this case, be sure
to avoid excessive clamping force.
- CLAMPING SQUARE PIECES VERTICALLY (See
Fig. J)
Tubing or other square (steel, aluminum or other)
workpieces can be clamped vertically in the center of
the Jaws. The hole on the base plate under the Jaw
accommodates pieces up to 2 3/8 in width.
- CLAMPING LARGE OBJECTS
The Moving Jaw can be reversed to accommodate large
workpieces.
1. Set the Lock/Unlock Switch to the “Unlock”
position and ensure that the Foot Pedal is released.
2. Slide the Moving Jaw (1) fully from its tracks. (See
Fig. H)
3. Rotate the Jaw 180 degrees and re-insert it into the
track. (See Fig. K)
WARNING: Whenever clamping objects
with the Moving Jaw reversed, ensure
the workpiece sits down onto the Sliding Jaw,
and is parallel to it. Avoid clamping workpieces
at the top of the Jaws (with a gap between the
workpiece and the base of the Moving Jaw) as
excessive Pedal pressure could damage the unit.
- CLAMPING SQUARE TUBING
Clamp square tubing or similar material on the flat side.
Use the Jaws to securely hold the material. (See Fig. L)
- REMOVING THE JAW FACINGS (See Fig. M)
The Jaw Facings can be removed to achieve a greater
clamping range, replace if worn or damaged, or when
fitting the optional jaws.
The Jaw Facing (2, 4) can be pulled from the Jaw by
hand.
OPTIONAL ACCESSORIES:
1) Extension Jaw, model RW9207 (See Fig. N)
The Extension Jaw holds large items. It has a
clamping range approximately 16˝ to 24˝.
2)
Multi-Purpose Jaw, model RW9208 (See Fig. O)
The Multi-Purpose Jaw is suitable for gripping
tapered or irregularly shaped items. This Jaw
attaches to the standard steel Jaws. It has a self-
adjusting pivot capability of approximately ±11°.
