newer and equipped with Bluetooth 4.0.
1. To install the app, go to the AppStore or
Playstore on your mobile device and install the
Roadie Tuner app. Alternatively, you can scan the
corresponding QR codes below for a direct link to
the apps.
2. Open the app and follow the on-screen
instructions.
Using Roadie for the first time
1. Turn Roadie on by pressing the On/Off power
button (1).
2. The LED light (2) should start blinking blue
which shows you that Roadie is looking for a
Bluetooth connection.
3. Next, make sure that Bluetooth is activated on
your mobile device:
Go to Settings -> Bluetooth -> On.
4. Launch the Roadie Tuner app on your mobile
device and the LED light (2) on Roadie should turn
solid blue indicating a successful Bluetooth
connection. Notice that no Bluetooth pairing is

required to connect Roadie to your mobile device.
5. Create a new instrument by following the
prompts on the screen.
6. Once you successfully add your instrument, it’s
time to calibrate each string. Calibration is a
simple process by which Roadie learns about your
instrument and each of its strings in order to tune
as efficiently as possible. To calibrate a string:
A. Press the calibrate button next to that string on
the app.
B. Connect the peg connector (3) to the
corresponding peg of the string being calibrated.
C. Pluck that string until the progress bar on the
screen fills up.
D. Once full, Roadie will then tune that string using
what it learned.
Repeat this process until all strings are
successfully calibrated and tuned.
Tuning your instrument
1. Open the Roadie Tuner app.
2. Select the instrument you are tuning.
3. Select the string you are tuning and connect the peg

connector (3) to the corresponding peg of the
string being tuned.
5. Pluck the string being tuned while firmly holding
Roadie on the tuning peg at all times.
6. The circles near the top of the mobile app
should light up red to indicate that a note is heard.
Roadie will now start turning the peg to perfectly
tune your instrument.
Tip: For faster tuning of a whole instrument, use
the Sequential tuning feature on the mobile app
that runs you through all the strings of your
instrument sequentially in a hands-free fashion. To
use this feature, press the button in the upper
right of the mobile app. You will see it turn red
and tuning will begin automatically.
Note: if you are tuning an electric guitar, you can
plug it directly to your mobile device using the
Roadie Jack (7). This allows for a silent tuning and
removes any possibility of outside noise affecting
your tuning. Make sure that the volume knob on
your electric guitar is set to maximum.

Re-stringing using Roadie
Roadie works as a string winder/unwinder in
addition to all its other features. To continuously
rotate Roadie’s peg connector, use the
WIND/UNWIND section of the mobile app or the
wind/unwind buttons (4) on Roadie’s side.
