Dear Customer!
The POLIRET CLASSIC is a high quality polishing unit made of stainless steel, equipped
with a brushless, maintenance free two speed motor: 1.500 and 3.000 rpm. The polishing
unit is suitable for grinding, polishing, cleaning and brushing metal or plastic objects. It is
equipped with an integrated powerful extraction. The fleece filter bags are washable and
reusable. Two separately adjustable extraction channels, to increase extraction performance
on the respectivley other side.
Any other use or usage beyond this scope is considered unintended use. The manufacturer
shall not be responsible for any damages that may result thereby.
Prior to installation of the device operating instructions and especially the safety instructions
must be read and followed by all personnel who use this device.
After having unpacked the device, please check carefully whether transportation damages of
any kind have occurred. If that is the case, the carrier or manufacturer must be notified within
3 days. The company will not be responsible for any damages found after that.
These operating instructions must be read and followed by all personnel who use this device.
To ensure quick access we recommend to keep it at a safe place near the device. In case of
loss it can be ordered from the manufacturer.

Safety Notes
General Safety Notes
•All equipment undergoes final inspection and testing before leaving our factory. However,
if equipment is damaged during shipping or through any other circumstances, it must not
be used in service. Please check the device regularly for damages. Damaged parts
should be replaced immediately.
•All power/air/water/gas sources should be rated for the demands of the device as listed in
the technical data sheets. Maximum ratings must not be exceeded. All VDE (Verein
Deutscher Elektro-Ingenieure) standards should be followed. Equipment should be
grounded according to standards.
•Adherence to valid regulations regarding necessary checks (e.g. according to Accident
Prevention & Insurance or electrical equipment) is exclusively taken over by the
buyer/user of this product.
•This device has been designated to be used only for its intended purpose. All other
applications must be prohibited for safety reasons as otherwise the manufacturer’s
warranty expires.
•The device should be set-up in a clean, well-ventilated room, if necessary under a hood.
•Supporting surfaces should be straight, flat and adequately stable.
•Don’t place anything on top of the machine.
•To avoid injury, appropriate protection should be worn (e.g. gloves, safety glasses, safety
shoes, hearing protection etc.)
•If the machine is defective or working improperly it must be taken out of service. In case
of further use of the machine the owner will be held responsible for any consequential
damage.
•To prevent accidents from water, fire or explosion, all power/air/water/gas sources should
be turned off after working hours and during breaks, and secured against unauthorized
access.
•When carrying out maintenance works or repairs or when opening the device always turn
off the main power switch and unplug the whole unit.
•Repairs should be carried out only by the manufacturer or by qualified and certified
personnel appointed according to chapter 7 –warranty.
•In case of leaking water out of housing or tank shut down device and call service.
•Check all hose connections for tightness, if necessary tighten hose clamps.

Specific Safety Notes
Note:
•After turning off the device wait for at least 2 minutes before unplugging the unit, to
discharge the capacitors.
•Fix the tools securely to the spindle to prevent injuries.
•Don’t operate the machine at too high speeds, to prevent burns!
•Keep the housing clean and dry.
•Tools may only be changed when the spindle stands still and the whole unit is unplugged.
•When working, flap down the protective panel and wear safety goggles.
•Only use appropriate and no unbalanced tools. Make sure that all tools are fastened
securely.
•Switch on extraction.
•Do not reach into the running machine.
•Always respect the tools manufacturer’s instructions (e.g. max. speed, admissible
material.
•Only use appropriate material for polishing. Always follow the polishing agent
manufacturer’s instructions, especially regarding health protection.
•Always wear clothing which is tight at the forearms and hands. Long hair as well as
jewelry could get caught in the rotating pars and result in injury.
•Only use cleaned or disinfected materials for polishing.
•In case of danger press emergency stop switch (8). To unlock, turn the emergency stop
switch to the right.
•Hold the object to be polished tight. Danger of flying parts or particles, possibly damaging
the workpiece.

Installation
The electrical equipment is delivered fully installed. The sealed plug can be connected
directly to the mains supply 230 V / 16 A. Regarding installation, please adhere to safety
notes in chapter 2.
Installation
Leave a minimum space of 20 cm for exhaust air outlet at the back of the device and leave
sufficient space above the equipment for filter replacement. Connect to the power supply.
Tool assembly
1. Attach the polishing spindles (5) and (13) tightly to the axle and fasten them with a hex
screw. Check that they fit correctly.
2. Attach the polishing tool to the spindles (5) and (13). Check that it fits correctly.
Right side: right-handed thread.
Left side: left-handed thread.
3. Detach the polishing spindles (5) and (13) from the axle by removing the Allen screw. If
necessary, use a pressure tool.
Operation
Sequence of operation
1. Fix the polishing tool, if necessary fill in polishing paste and/or pumice in the polishing
troughs or apply to the polishing tool.
2. Turn the power switch (9) on.
3. Turn the polishing motor on with the speed selector switch (3) (step 1 = 1500 rpm, step 2
= 3000 rpm).
4. Switch on the extraction with the extractor switch (11). Suction performance can be
increased by closing one of the extraction channels (2) or (7), to increase extraction
performance on the respectively other side.
5. Hold the object to be polished tight and slightly push it against the rotating polishing tool.
6. After finishing work, turn off polishing machine with the speed selector switch (3) and the
power switch (10).
