Overview
CYCO is an innovative pillbox paired with mobile applications, which comprises pre-
scheduled medication plans, reminding alerts, remote monitoring function for
caregivers and comprehensive dose-taking records to oversee the users’ habits for
detailed analysis. With CYCO, you can effectively control your or your loved ones’
daily medication consumption and improve medication adherence.
Key features
Intelligent Reminder
When it's the time for a user to take the scheduled dose, CYCO will give an audio alert,
and the corresponding compartment of CYCO will flash in white. The bundled app
will also send a notification to the user.
Wrong Dose Alert
CYCO would produce audio and visual alerts if a user chose a wrong compartment
during the scheduled time.
Health Record
CYCO records the medication history and helps users meet personal health goals.
Remote Monitoring
Family members, caregivers and professionals can receive notifications directly
through the mobile app to see if the user adheres to the medication plan.
Medical Tips
CYCO collates verified information to promote the wellbeing of users.
Exchangeable Compartments
CYCO supports accessories with different configurations of compartments to
support personal medication patterns.
Built-in Pill Cutter
CYCO includes a built-in pill cutter, which saves users the hassle of bringing an extra
pill cutter.

CYCO Smart Pillbox structure
Status LED light indication
The status LED is next to ❼. Its colour and flashing speed indicate the followings:
GREEN – Turned on without connection to the CYCO App
BLUE flashing fast– Turned on and attempting to connect with the CYCO App through
Bluetooth
BLUE flashing slowly– Turned on and connected with the CYCO App through
Bluetooth
RED flashing fast– Low battery
RED flashing slowly– Charging
Installing the CYCO app
CYCO syncs with the following devices that support Bluetooth 4.1 or above:
Apple iOS – OS 10.0+
Android OS – 5.0+
To get started, install the CYCO app and pair your smart pillbox with your mobile
device:
Step 1 Search and download CYCO Smart Pillbox, Medication Reminder on
the Google Play, or CYCO Smart Pillbox on the App Store. Note that the
publisher is QUALIFE.
Step 2 Open the app and ensure that your mobile’s Bluetooth is turned on for the
app to connect with your CYCO Smart Pillbox.

Registration and login
When you first open the CYCO App, you will see the landing screen.
Step 1 You must create an account in order to use the app. Tap SIGN UP to create
your CYCO account or LOGIN if you already created an account before.
First-Time Use
Due to strict air freight requirements, the Bluetooth connectivity of the CYCO Smart
Pillbox is disabled before shipping.
If the green light flashes every time when you press ❼, your pillbox is functional but
in the deactivated state. Please refer to this video for demonstration.
To enable the Bluetooth connectivity of the pillbox, please follow the instructions
below.
Step 1 Download or update the CYCO app on the App Store or Google Play
(iOS:
Version 1.1.1 or above; Android: Version updated on or after 14 Jan 2019)
.
Step 2 Login to your account or sign up to create a new account.
Step 3 Choose “Connect with Smart Pillbox” and your model.
Step 4 You will be directed to the “Pairing up” page.
Step 5 Press ❼ and “Scan” button on the app AT THE SAME TIME.
Step 6 Select your smart pillbox that appeared in the scan result.
Step 7 If the smart pillbox is connected with the app successfully, the LED light will
flash in blue → green → blue quickly, and then flash in blue slowly. The app will jump

to the “Name your device” page as well.
Now the smart pillbox is in normal mode. You can set up your profile and medication
schedule and start using our app. For your reference, please refer to this video for
demonstration.
Please note that the activation procedure applies to first-time use only. Please
follow the connectivity instructions listed in Section
“Connecting with your Smart
Pillbox (After First-time Use)”
to connect the smart pillbox with the app afterwards.
Connecting with your Smart Pillbox (After First-time
Use)
After logging into your account, you can choose to connect with a Smart Pillbox or
using the app without a Smart Pillbox.
Step 1 Tab “Connect with a Smart Pillbox”.
Step 2 Choose your Smart Pillbox’s model.
Step 3 Hold down ❼ for 3 seconds to enable the connecting mode. The status light
will flash BLUE quickly.
Step 4 Click “SCAN” in the App.
Step 5 Select your Smart Pillbox that appeared in the scan result.
Step 6 If the Smart Pillbox is connected to your mobile, the LED light on the Smart
Pillbox will flash in blue slowly.
Step 7 Name your device within 20 characters. Click “SAVE”.
Setting up your profile
Step 1 Enter your personal information, including gender, date of birth, height,
weight and country.
Step 2 Click “NEXT”.
Step 3 If your purpose of using the CYCO App is to set medication schedule for
yourself
, select “Patient”. Check the diseases you have and click “NEXT” to finish
setting up your profile. If you
wish to track another user’s medication performance
,
select “Tracker” (you will be directed to the “TRACKER” page and please read the
instructions shown in the “Tracking other user’s performance and records”
section).

Setting your medication schedule
Step 1 Enter the pill name, dose and quantity of the medicine you have to take.
Step 2 Click “ADD” to add another pill or “REMOVE” to remove the pill by clicking the
cross icon.
Step 3 Click “CONFIRM” to finish editing the pill list.
Step 4 Click “NEXT” to set up your medication schedule.
After filling in your medication information, a weekly schedule will be automatically
generated. The preselected start date is today, and the default medication time will
be 08:00, 13:00, 18:00 and 23:00.
If you would like to change the default medication time, click onto the time to
change the medication time.
Step 5 Check the checkbox(es) for the corresponding pill and time. Note that the
number of checkbox(es) you checked must be the same as the number of dose(s)
you entered in the previous page.
Step 6 Click “SAVE” to save your medication schedule.
You can now have a worry-free medication experience!

Taking your medication
CYCO Smart Pillbox has a dual sensor system to ensure the lid of the pillbox is
turned to the right compartment and pills are poured out. In order to record your
medication on the app and stop the pill-taking alert, you have to turn the lid to the
compartment with flashing LED light and turn the pillbox upside down. The CYCO
App will record your medication as taken.

Step 4 Check that the slot you have taken on the Virtual Smart Pillbox on TODAY's
page is changed to EMPTY, and the medication schedule disappeared under TODAY.
Refilling pills
Step 1 Separate ❻ and the compartment box
(❸ and ❹).
Step 2 Pull out ❸ from ❹.
Step 3 Refill ❹ with pills.

Changing the 7-slot exchangeable compartment
You can change your 7-slot compartment easily to fit your medication pattern.
Step 1 Separate ❻ and the compartment box (❸ and ❹).
Step 2 Combine another compartment box with ❻.
Using the built-in pill cutter
Step 1 Separate ❻ and the
compartment box
(❸ and ❹).
Step 2 Pull out ❸
from ❹.
Step 3 Pull out
❺ in between
the 1st and 7th
compartment.
Step 4 Put the pill you want to cut in the middle of the 1st and 7th compartment. Put
❺ back to its original position and press it.
Step 5 The pill will be split in half.
You may need to press harder to split large pills.

Common operations
Charging Your Smart Pillbox
Step 1 Connect ❶ to ❽.
Step 2 Connect ❷ to a USB port with a power supply (e.g. AC adaptor with USB
power supply).
Step 3 When the CYCO Smart Pillbox is charging, the LED light will flash in red
quickly.
Step 4 When fully charged, the LED indicator will flash in green if no CYCO Smart
Pillbox is connected, or flash in blue when it is connected with a CYCO Smart
Pillbox.
When the CYCO Smart Pillbox battery level is 10% or lower, the LED light will
flash in red slowly.
Please fully charge the CYCO Smart Pillbox before use. It takes up to 2 hours to
fully charge the CYCO.
Switching on Your Smart Pillbox
Step 1 Press ❼ once.
The LED light will flash in green if your Smart Pillbox is not connected with your
mobile, or flash in blue when it is connected to your mobile.
Shutting down Your Smart Pillbox
Step 1 Hold down ❼for 10 seconds until the LED light is not flashing.
Muting Your Smart Pillbox to stop the sound alert
Step 1 Press ❼ once when the “beep” alert is releasing.
