Operating Instructions
USERS CONTROLS
Two rotary knobs (Figure 11) controlling temperature and
operational mode are located behind the control door
located to the top-right of the cabinet front.
THERMOSTAT SETTING
Turning the thermostat control clockwise will provide a
cooler room temperature; turning it counterclockwise will
provide a warmer room temperature. Adjusting the
thermostat to the mid setting (vertical) will set the room
temperature at approximately 75°F.
MODE SWITCH
Table 1 describes the unit function corresponding to the
various mode switch settings.

WARNING
To prevent death or personal injury due to electrical
shock, unplug the nit at the wall outlet or turn off
power at the fuse box or circuit breaker before
servicing the unit. Line voltage will bee present at
the control board, terminals L1 and L2, whenever
power is applied to the unit regardless of the master
switch position.
AN CYCLE SWITCH
The fan cycle switch sets the operational mode of the
fan. In the N position, the fan will run continuously
whenever the unit is in the heat or cool mode. In the
AUT position, the fan will cycle on and off with the
compressor or electric heater when the unit is in the cool
or heat mode.
OUTSIDE AIR VENT CONTROL
The chassis is shipped with the outside air vent in the
closed position. If outdoor air is required, the vent
position should be changed before the chassis is in-
stalled into the wall sleeve. If the chassis is already
installed, then it will need to be uninstalled to
change the position of the vent. Refer to Chassis
Installation on page 6.
To open the outside air vent, use the following proce-
dure:
1. Remove the two (2) screws from the right side of the
sheet metal vent cover and set aside.
2. Grasp the sheet metal cover and bend open along
the scored section on the left side of the sheet metal
cover to whatever position you require, being careful
to secure the left side of the cover so that the two (2)
remaining screws are not stripped out and removed
from the partition panel.
3. After positioning the sheet metal cover to an open po-
sition, reinstall the two (2) screws removed in step
one to secure the plastic mesh, located behind the
sheet metal cover, back into the partition wall where
they were earlier removed.
NOTE: The vent will now e in a permanently open
position. It can e closed again y reversing the steps
a ove.
The chassis may now be installed into the wall sleeve.
