INTRODUCTION
The Personal Cooler is a mobile refrigeration unit to be worn in protective clothing. The Personal Cooler significantly helps
the user to extend the operable time for completing the required task, where protective clothing is needed. The physical
and mental effects of heat stress caused by the protective clothing are drastically mitigated. The unit is ideal for chemical,
heat and fire-fighting operations.

1 SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
1.1 GENERAL SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
Prior to the operation of this unit read the instruction manual in detail. Make certain that you understand all
operating instructions and safety instructions. Should you pass on the unit to a third party, make sure you
enclose the instruction manual.
Keep this instruction manual safe and with the unit, so that you can re-read it in case you need to.
Operate and use the unit appropriately and only for its intended uses as described in this manual.
Repairs must be carried out only by authorised specialists or the manufacturer.
Only use original spare parts.
Never use unnecessary force when operating the unit.
The unit is EMV-certified by HERBERG Service Plus GmbH and meets the required standards of the current European
regulations. CE compliance has been approved. Important Notice: Comply with the instruction manual to safeguard
the safe operation of the unit!
For safety and admission reasons (CE) arbitrary alterations or changes to the product are not permitted.
Only operate the unit within the parameters as stated in the technical data.
1.2 SAFE USE OF THE PERSONAL COOLER
Only operate units that are 100 % intact. If you detect visible damage to the unit, it must no longer be used.
Never immerse the unit in water or other liquids.
In the event of liquid entering the unit, causing malfunction, switch-off the unit immediately, remove the rechargeable
battery and let the unit dry out completely. Should malfunctions still be evident, return the unit to the manufacturer for
repair.
Protect the unit from heavy soiling. Dirt may clog the cooling air channels and block the ventilators. The unit may be
damaged by this. Clean the appliance after each use and then dry it carefully. Keep it in a suitcase or any other solid
container that protects it from moisture, dust and dirt.
We recommend storing the unit in its case (accessory).
1.3 ELECTRICAL SAFETY: CHARGER
The chargers must only be used with mains voltages that correspond to the instructions on the rating plate.
Never plug or unplug the plug of the charger with wet hands.
Do not use the charger when it is dirty or wet.
Never charge up the unit in areas with a risk of explosion!
The charger must not get in contact with liquids.
